Ok, so my scrapping time hasn't been what I was hoping for the last day or so, too much to do to get ready for my upcoming vacation. But I did want to pop on with a quick note and to share some eye candy with everyone and maybe do a bit of enabling at the same time! I have always liked Pebbles Inc's products and their kits are really good buys. It seems they are getting ready to release a new line called Lil' Miss...it is really adorable, great for girls of any age. You can check out it out on the Pebbles blog They are also going to be releasing a Lil' Buddy line soon for those of you who have boys too! So keep checking out their blog...oh, and if you hop on over to their blog and leave a comment you can be entered to win the Lil' Miss line, and who doesn't like free goodies?!

Use your stash Tuesday!
For today's use your stash Tuesday I created a layout based on sketch #20 from my fav sketch site . This sketch was a real simple but versatile sketch, so many ways to interpret it. I choose some of my fav photos of myself and my son from 2008 (actually I think these are THE ONLY photos of us together in 2008). I used Pink Paislee papers from the Spring Fling line that I purchased well over a year ago when the line first came out. I really loved them, but was hoarding them for some reason, probably waiting for "JUST THE RIGHT" photos LOL! The other older things from my stash which I was excited to use were the round bingo tiles...I covered the middle of two of them with a 1/2 punched circle and used a heart sticker for the middle of the flower and the "LOVE" in the "Love U". I have had these for well over 8 or 9 yrs and just never used them, don't you think they look great like this? I especially loved the one in the middle of the flower. The quote is one I got free at a Quick Quotes class I took 4-5 yrs ago, I thought it was fitting for this page. The word "MOMENTS" is a fabric sticker that I got 3-4 yrs ago and never used, but now have used almost the entire lot of them. The chipboard under the flower is from my winnings from Emma's challenge. I LOVE using up my older stash...trying to destash so I can purchase some of these and some of this and a little bit of that! Can you tell I'm gearing up to scrap some awesome summer pics? I just love scrapbooking my water pics. We are leaving for vacation to sunny Florida in just 10 days, so I will have plenty of uses for these yummy goodies! Plus we are gearing up for another LOAD (LayOut A Day) contest over at Personalscrapper so I hope to get a LOT of scrapping done and use up some more stash during this month long contest in June! Hope you will be able to play along with me!

Let the summer begin!
Today seemed like the official start of summer here in the Great State of Texas...as you can see we kicked off our Memorial Day weekend with a fun game of tball. The entire family came together to cheer Ryan on for his first game of the season. As you can see he spent considerable time playing in the dirt as well as hitting the ball. I'm sure he will catch on soon. Then the boys decided since we were kicking off the summer they had better head over to Granny and Grandpa's pool. They had a blast, the cooler water didn't seem to faze them a bit. It was a beautiful evening here tonight, but we made it home just in time, because as I write this it has begun to rain! Lucky us...just in the nick of time. We are hoping it clears out for tomorrow as we are headed to the waterpark tomorrow afternoon if God's willing and the creek don't rise as they say! Have a wonderful holiday weekend, not much scrappin' happening right now...maybe more next week!

Friday's Featured Blogger
Today's featured blogger is a wonderful designer, has created some awesome pages using Basic Grey products and has the NEW releases for Basic Grey on her blog at this time...hop on over at check it out. Kelly Goree's blog is just awesome, lots of inspiration and enabling there. Not only has Basic Grey released two new lines, but they are releasing new products as well. My favs are the woolies and doilies, but then who doesn't love felt and die cut paper? You can check samples of them out here and here to see what I am talking about (these two where my favs!). I must say I am not the hugest Basic Grey fan out there but these new products I do really like. My current favorite line by Basic Grey at the moment is Marrakech, the colors are just lovely. Orange and blues together is really appealing to me right now, they are so versatile as far as the different seasons go and look great with outdoor pictures. Hope you have a GREAT Friday, drop me a comment and let me know what your fav Basic Grey line is, would love to know!

Use your stash Tuesday!
For today's edition of Use your stash Tuesday, I used up some more of one of my older Personalscrapper kits from August of 2007. I also threw in some paper and stickers from Scenic Route's Grafton line found in my June 2008 Personalscrapper kit. This layout is based on sketch #19 from this WONDERFUL site! I loved this sketch, it is very versatile and allows you to use anywhere from one to four pictures depending on your take on the sketch. Notice on this layout I didn't use any letter stickers to make my title. It's so easy to look through your stash of stickers, die cuts etc and just use them as your title..especially when you can't find just the right color or size of sticker letters as was my case here. So if you have some extra time or just need to jumpstart your mojo go check out the 52 sketches site and see for yourself all the wonderful inspiration there. I'm off to work on sketch #20 so check back soon for my version of this fun sketch.

Thanks Emma!
These are two cards I made with my big box of loot from my pal Emma over at PS. I won her fun challenge during the online crop last week and she graciously sent me a HUGE box of embellishments! It was like Christmas on Wednesday when I received them. I was so excited I couldn't wait to play with some of my loot, and since I needed a few more cards to add to the box I was donating to my church's auction tonight I whipped up these little cuties in no time flat using these cute little sentiments I received in my box. The other really neat thing about these cards is that I was able to use up scraps I had lying on my desk to make them! WOW! I didn't even have to cut anything, just glue it all together, easy peasy just like I like it! Wish me luck tonight at the silent auction at church, hoping to snag a few fun items I have my eye on! TGIF!

Amy's Challenge!
This page was created for Amy's challenge over at Personalscrapper during our NSD/Mother's Day online crop last weekend. The challenge was to create a page that's title was a play on words. I really was stumped on this challenge until I got up last one night to get a drink, walked by these pics I had laying on the kitchen island as ones I needed to scrap for the crop and then the idea came to me "LET US (LETTUCE) EAT SALAD"...a play on the word LETTUCE and the phrase LET THEM EAT CAKE or LET US EAT SALAD! These pic are of my son in 1999 at around 18 mos old helping his Granny "toss" the salad she was preparing when she wasn't looking LOL! I used the awesome May kit at Personalscrapper which features Fancy Pants Delight. Happy Hump Day everyone!

Use your stash Tuesday
Here is a layout I created for the Personalscrapper online crop last weekend for the Alphabet soup challenge. We were to use two different alphabets on our page. I used up some of my older alphabets by Making Memories and October Afternoon for this challenge, in fact I am almost out of these alphabets, so I was pleased to find the necessary letters for my title out of more than half used up alphabets, sometimes it isn't so easy to do! These pictures are of my niece, nephew and son at the zoo eating ice cream last summer, isn't my little Katie's smile so sweet with only a few teeth? I used up some of my older stash of buttons on this layout using those star buttons by Doodlebug that I got well over 5 yrs ago, can't believe they matched so well! I used two Personalscrapper kits on this layout the March 2009 and the November 2008 kits, so I used up some of my older papers too. I love getting the new kits, but I try to use up at least 1/2 my kit from the month before before I allow myself to use the new one,but sometimes that is hard to do. I will try and share some more of the challenges I completed in the upcoming days so be sure to check back soon!

Happy Mother's Day!
Happy Mother's Day to all you Mom's out there! Here are some pictures from our Mother's Day, taken in my Mom's backyard. The top pic is of my sister and her two cute kids. The second one is of my Mom and my son with the little wheelbarrow he built for her as a gift and the third one is of my son and myself. We had a great meal at Texas Roadhouse (despite the one hour wait!) and then kicked back in my parent's backyard..it was bit muggy that evening but not too bad of a day to be outside. Hope everyone had a wonderful day as well..I even got a bit of scrapping in..check back later to see what I "cooked" up!

Emma's Challenge
Long to no blog, huh? Hope everyone is doing well. We have been super busy at our household keeping up with chores etc, nothing really super fun to report. I am continuing to participate in the online blog at Personalscrapper and have gotten one more layout totally finished, and have two that just need a few finishing touches lying on my kitchen table. Needless to say, my house is a mess! This layout was completed tonight in less than an hour, for Emma's challenge for today over at the PS crop. Emma is one of the members at PS and her pages are always creative and inspiring. She does great work ,to check out her work you can visit her awesome blog called Scrappy Emma. Her challenge was to use a day of the week as the title to your page. As you can see, I wasn't very creative in doing so, but I did complete the challenge none the less....my first idea was to use the poem..Monday's child is fair of face....but I couldn't remember what day of the week my son was born, so I checked it out and it was a Wednesday, but when I looked up the poem, Wednesday's child is full of WOE..well, what kind of title would that be? Talk about giving your kid a complex..so I had to go to plan B, and since my deadline was tomorrow morning at 6 am, I didn't have much time to be creative, so I went with my less then exciting title you see here. I do like the colors and the way the page turned out though. The envie from the Lisa Bearnson April 2008 KOTM holds our bracelets from the hospital. The papers are from STampin Up, the embellies are from K and Company the the letter stickers from American Crafts. This is all things I have had for well over a year, so it was nice to use up a bit of my stash. I hope to post again this weekend when I get a chance to finish up my half finished layouts. Hoping to scrap a bunch this weekend as I still have 4 challenges I want to finish up. Have a nice Friday hope to see you back here soon!

Happy National Scrapbook Day!
Happy National Scrapbook Day everyone! I spent the day cropping with my sister and a good friend. I was able to create this layout using my awesome March Kit from Personalscrapper which featured goodies from My Minds Eye. I love these papers and that little journal box is way to fun as well. I was able to cut out the branch and swirl on my Cricut using the Graphically speaking cartridge. I LOVE this cartridge, its my all time fav, so versatile and trendy! Don't you just love that little owl chipboard accent? It was graciously given to me by my good friend Angie who donated it to the cause of making my page flow and giving me my idea for my title! Thanks Ang! This layout is based on sketch #17 at 52 sketches 52 weeks, this site has saved me more than once when the ideas just aren't there, and today is one of those days, hence the one layout only, but hey, I have another started and this sketch jumpstarted my creativity enough for me to get some more ideas flowing. The online crop is still going on over at the Personalscrapper site, so come join in the fun. The challenges are awesome! I hope to finish up at least five of them before it ends next weekend! Hope your NSD was full of fun and creativity!

Happy May Day!
Happy May Day everyone! Here is my last layout of the 15 I did for the Personalscrapper Slice contest. This one features Scenic Route's Surprise line and was perfect for a page about my Mom's surprise 60th bday party! I love the fun bright colors. Tomorrow is National Scrapbook Day so how are you going to celebrate? I am having a small get together of ladies at my house and we plan to crop for a bit. I will also be participating in the online crop at Personalscrapper which starts tomorrow and runs through Mother's Day. Come join in the fun if you can!
