All you need to do is become a follower and leave a comment!  You can get an extra draw for sharing the giveaway on your blog, Facebook, Pinterest etc!  Easy Peasy right?  Take time to check out the announcement on new changes at Sketch N Scrap as well.  We are super excited to be giving our participants extra time to play along with our sketches by extending the deadline until the end of each month vs the end of the week....we know you are busy and are just dying to find some scrappy time, but that's not always possible each week, but hopefully it will be each month!  Good luck, hope to see one of my bloggy followers as the winner of this awesome collection when we announce it next week!

Howdy friends!  Hope your weekend was great!  Mine was!  I was able to spend it with a good friend scrapping in Kansas City at the Play All Day Crop put on by Embellish It.  We had a great time, great table mates, great food and great classes.  I would highly recommend this crop to anyone who is on the fence about it.  I was able to finish 7 layouts, including the one above.  I will be sharing them with you when I can.  This layout based on Sketch N Scrap 12 is of my nephew and brother on their first Father/Son fishing trip.  I have had these papers over a year waiting on them to go so I could use them, so I was excited to finally put them to use!  I can't believe how well the colors in the pics worked with my papers- what a happy happenstance!  lol!  I hope you will find some time this week to play along at Sketch N Scrap the prize package sponsored by Scrappy Chics is to die for and the DT did some awesome work again this week, so please head over and check it out!  Until next time,

Adventure Aquarium

Supplies used:  Patterned papers: Echo Park Paradise Beach; Cardstock: Bazzill; Letter stickers: Echo Park
& Pink Paislee, embellishments: stickers Echo Park Paradise Beach and flair button by Amercan Crafts

Howdy everyone!  So how has your summer been?  We were lucky enough to take a wonderful trip to Philadelphia early this summer!  We were able to hop across the Delaware River to Camden NJ, where we were able to visit a wonderful battleship as well as a fun aquarium called Adventure Aquarium.  We went into the kids area (even though as my son pointed out he is not a "kid anymore") but hey, I wanted to touch the stingrays and star fish.  I even touched some kind of sea urchin!  I should have written down which type though, but it felt very weird and prickly!  And even though he professes not to be a kid he sure enjoyed crawling in a lot of the kids stuff and even asking for me to take his picture while doing it (which I might add is a rarity!).  So of course, I happily obliged :o)   I designed this sketch with these pics in mind, although not the papers...but when I received my June Personalscrapper kit I realized that these papers and embellies were perfect for these pics!  I love it when things turn out like that :o)  I hope you will find time to join us at Sketch N Scrap this week and play along with our sketch.  We have an awesome prize package from Scrappy Chics up for grab if you do...and remember the more you participate the more chance you will have to win this month!  So beat the heat and head to your scrap room with a cup or glass of your fav cool beverage and get your scrap on!

Under the Sea!

Supplies Used: papers-KI Memories, Fancy Pants Rusted Sun and Beach Bum; stickers- Fancy Pants
Beach Bum & Jillibean Soup Watermelon Gazpacho;  Die Cuts- Jillibean Soup Watermelon Gazpacho & Fancy Pants Beach Bum.

Is summer in full swing where you are?  It sure is here in Texas, plenty warm here, we find one of the best ways to beat the heat is spend lots of time in the water, whether at the pool, waterpark or lake, it doesn't matter, the water makes the heat bearable when outside!   These pictures were taken last year when we visited a local waterpark with my good friend and her two kids.  My sister loaned me her new Kodak underwater camera to play with and these are the pictures I got, fun huh?  I LOVE that camera, it is so nice to get in the water and take the pics and not have to worry about standing on the side of the pool and hoping some kids doesn't accidently splash your camera!  Plus, the vantage point is A LOT better!  I can't believe we are already onto week #10 over at Sketch N Scrap!  I hope you will find some time to join us this week.  The DT has an array of layouts from July 4th, Christmas, summer, and boy themes all using this week's sketch, so lots of inspiration to be found over at Sketch N Scrap.  I hope you will join us this week!  Oh....and don't forget to check out our AWESOME prize for July compliments of Scrappy Chics Kit Club.  I love their July kit, it features one of my FAVORITE summer lines EVER- Simple Stories Summer Fresh, just let me warn you, you will WANT this kit, so hurry over the Scrappy Chics, check out their wonderful kits and see what inspiration their DT has for you!
