Clean up time!

Oh no, it's time for Sketch N Scrap's second birthday bash to come to an end!!!  I hope you have been as inspired as I have with all the fun challenges!  Don't worry while some of the challenges close today many are open well into June, so there is still plenty of time to play along!  Make sure and go HERE and check the sidebar to see all our birthday bash challenges!  Today it's time to clean up..the parties over and yes, my scrappy desk looks like a tornado hit it...does yours?  Well, if it does then play along with me as we use up those scraps!  My challenge for you is to create a layout or card using ONLY SCRAPS (pieces not to exceed 6 x 6 inches).  Here is my layout using my last scraps of my Echo Park For the Record 2 collection:
Supplies Used: Patterned paper: Echo Park For the Record 2; cardstock: Stampin' Up' stickers:
Echo Park For the Record 2, Fancy Pants Park Bench; wood word: American Crafts; letter stickers:
Making Memories; cat journal card: October Afternoon, bling: Queen & Co.

I love this picture of me and my sister holding one of many sweet litter of kittens we had growing up. We loved cats and kittens and growing up on a farm we were lucky to get to have LOTS of cats and thus lots of kittens!  It is fun to scrapbook my childhood pictures!  This picture is from 1983!!!  Wow!  I hope you are inspired to play along with Sketch N Scrap's last birthday challenge with me, and what fun is a challenge without a prize? I will be giving away a grab bag of embellishments to one lucky winner!  Grab bags are always fun and full of surprises...so no picture of this prize but it guaranteed to add lots of  loveliness to your crafty projects!

Wrap it Up!

Welcome to my second birthday bash challenge!  I am so happy you are celebrating with me today! One of my favorite parts of birthdays is not only getting gifts but giving them as well!  I love seeing the look on my loved one's face as they open that gift I selected just for them and loving wrapped up in beautiful paper tied with a lovely bow or ribbon!  So today I am challenging you to "WRAP IT UP" and use 2 different washi tapes on your layout or card!  Here is my example:
Supplies used: Patterned Paper: Echo Park; background: Elle's Studio; washi: My Mind's
Eye, Queen & Co, Paper Studio; letter stickers: Doodlebug (orange) & Fancy Pants (small);
stickers: Echo Park; die cut sun: Pink Paislee; jewels: Queen & Co; wood veneers: Studio
Calico; ink: chalk ink by Quick Quotes.

I loved this picture of my son and nephew trying to carry this big raft up to the top of a waterslide way back in 2009! My nephew is so small you can barely see him inside of the raft!  He is much bigger now!  I loved this quote by Helen Keller...I ran out of stickers so I could give her credit for the quote, but I plan to try and stamp it under there at a later date (my black ink pad is dry!). I was inspired to add a quote to my layout by a wonderful challenge hosted by Daiva at Inspired to Scrap! I love using quotes on my layouts! For my washi tape I used strips of washi along the right side and then again in the upper left corner to balance out my design.  I hope you will play along with me for a chance to win yourself two rolls of washi tape!  I have two rolls of washi tape for one lucky winner

PLUS if I get more then 15 participants I will draw two more names for a chance to win a washi tape sampler pack of 18 inches of four of the washi tapes I used on this layout!!!! Plus how about a SIDE contest, whoever uses the most washi tape will get a sampler pack as well!!!  Let's see how many different tapes you can get on one card or layout, I used 6 can you beat that?
Here are the details of how to play along
1) Layout or card must be new as of May 21st (no back linking)
2) You must use TWO different washi tapes on your project in some way shape or form...as an border, strip or embellishment you punch or make into a flower...anything goes!
3) You must be a follower of my blog and the Sketch N Scrap blog
4) You must post a link back to my blog
5) You may combine this challenge with a challenge from another site but not with another of my birthday bash challenges
6) Only US participants are eligible to win the prize due to high cost of shipping internationally, but you are still welcome to play along with us so we can admire your lovely work!

Birthday Bash card challenge!

Who doesn't love to get a bunch of cards in the mail for their birthday?  Every year on my birthday I get a beautiful handmade card from a dear friend and I must say I look forward to that every year! It seems in this digital age getting an actual card in the mail is a rare occurrence!  Today's challenge is a scrapbooking challenge with a card twist...my challenge for you is to create a layout using at least TWO project life type cards on it!  Here is my example to give you an idea:
Supplies: Patterned paper- Echo Park Note to Self; 3x4 cards: Echo Park Note to Self;
stickers: Echo Park Note to Self; garland: Teresa Collins; felt hears: unknown; date stamp:
Making Memories; Ink: StazOn Jet Black.

 If you are anything like me you have TONS of these 3 x 4 cards in your stash.  My challenge for you is to put them to good use!  I used 3 premade 3 x 4 cards on my layout and since I couldn't find  a fourth one that went well with my photo, I made my own (far right edge) using a punch and stickers from the Note to Self collection by Echo Park. So if you don't have any of these premade cards go ahead and make your own like I did for the 4th one on my layout! You can use any size of Project Life type card that is 3 x 4 or larger premade or made by you.  I hope you will find time to play along not only with my challenge but all the other challenges that we have for you on the Sketch N Scrap blog! But what is a challenge without a prize? Here is my prize for ONE randomly selected winner of my card challenge:
I will be giving away this Paradise Beach collection by Echo Park to ONE lucky randomly drawn winner of my card challenge!!!!  This collection is awesome, I love the colors and it has its own cards in it to use on your projects! Just create a layout using at least TWO project life type cards on your layout!  But you can't win if you don't play.
Here are the rules to play along:
1) You must be a follower of my blog and the Sketch N Scrap blog to win
2) Your project must be new and created just for this challenge (no back linking)
3) You may combine this challenge with a challenge from another site but not with another of my birthday bash challenges
4) Only US participants are eligible to win the prize due to high cost of shipping internationally, but you are still welcome to play along with us so we can admire your lovely work!
5) You must post a link back to my blog and this challenge
6) Please only link up with the direct link to your entry or else I will not consider you for the prize draw.
7) Deadline to enter is June 12th at midnight CST

How inspiring is this?  Love the colors, the quote, and the flowers! Here is what I was inspired to create off this beautiful mood board:
