Sketch N Scrap Card sketch #136

TGIF!!  I'm so excited that the holiday is almost upon us!! I was also very excited to work on our last sketch of 2018 from Sketch N Scrap so I took a break from wrapping and decorating to work on this fun sketch!  Here is the sketch:

Here is my card using the sketch:
Supplies Used: Cardstock: CTMH & Stampin' Up; Patterned Paper: Doodlebug Designs Here Comes Santa Claus; dies: Lawn Fawn stitched snowflakes; enamel dots: CTMH; ink: CTMH blakc; stamp: Stampin' Up.
I was going to make a Valentine's Day card & use hearts for the stars but my niece was crafting with me & she suggested I use snowflakes!!  I loved the idea & tada...a Winter themed card!!  I love crafting with my niece, her creativity is amazing for someone so young & always blows me away!!  I have been hoarding this Doodlebug Designs 6 x 6 pad & since I had not touched it I didn't allow myself to buy their newest Christmas one this year, so I decided to break into it!!  I just love their colors & prints!  I hope you will find time to play along with us at Sketch N Scrap before the year ends, you have until December 31st at 9:55 pm CST to link up your projects using any of our FOUR sketches for December!!  Happy Creating!!!!

December Flavors of the Month kit at The ScrapRoom!

Happy Hump Day!  I hope your week is off to a good start or if not then good news it's half over!!!  Today I am sharing another layout created with the December Flavors of the Month kit at The ScrapRoom!  Here is a reminder of the full kit:

Here is the Echo Park Celebrate Christmas kit I used for today's layout:

My layout using this kit:
Supplies Used: Cardstock: Black- from the kit & white from my stash; Patterned Paper: Echo Park Celebrate Christmas- from the kit; stickers: Echo Park Celebrate Christmas- from the kit; chipboard: Echo Park Celebrate Christmas -from the embellishment kit.
These pictures from my nephew opening his gift a few years back on Christmas morning were not the best, but were all we had, so I wanted to use them, so I printed them as 2 x 2 prints and decided to scatter them down the sides of the layout giving me lots of room to accommodate the larger stickers included with this kit!  I love the way it turned out, it is not my typical "style" so I was a bit wary of the design at first but sometimes it's fun to go outside your comfort zone!!  Make sure and hop on over to the ScrapRoom blog to see what the other DT members did with this fun kit!  Happy creating!

December Jump Start Sketch at The ScrapRoom!

Happy December!!  What a fun and busy month this will be!!  Are you ready?????  Today I am sharing my first layout created using the December Flavors of the Month kit at The ScrapRoom. Here is the full kit:

Here is the Carta Bella Santa's workshop kit I used on my layout:

And here is the sketch my layout is based off of for the December Jumpstart Challenge at The ScrapRoom:

My layout created using this fun kit:
Supplies Used: Card stock: Red from the kit; Patterned Paper: Carta Bella Santa's Workshop from the kit; ephemera: Carta Bella Santa's Workshop from the kit; Stickers: Carta Bella Santa's Workshop- from the embellishment kit; Letter stickers: Basic Grey & Elle's Studio- from my stash;  dies: Fancy Tags- CTMH thin cuts, enamel dots: Recollections- from my stash
I just love these pictures of my nephew (who is now in high school!!!) baking Christmas cookies back in 2006!  Wow!  How time flies!  I love this sketch and the fun layering of the tags at the top of the layout and also right above the photos.  I used a fun frame that was included in my kit and embellished it with some ornament stickers from the embellishment kit and then layered a tag cut from the one of the patterned papers with the Mrs. Claus ephemera piece which is a perfect complement to my photos! I love it when embellishment clusters come together so easily! The title is a play on words...instead of MAKING Christmas Memories I used BAKING Christmas Memories.
Here is a look at the wonderful embellishment kit for December:

I hope you were as inspired as I was by this fun sketch, make sure and play along with us at The ScrapRoom this month for a chance to win a fun prize!!  Make sure and check out The ScrapRoom blog to see what the other DT members did with this kit!! Happy Creating!
