Sketch N Scrap #205

TGIF!! Can you believe it is the end of the month?  I can't!  July just flew by!! So today is the last day you can submit your projects using any of the 4 monthly sketches at Sketch N Scrap!   So I just had to make sure I played along with Heather's fun sketch for the July 15th challenge before the month ended!  Here is the sketch:

Here is my layout created using this super fun sketch!!

Supplies Used:  Patterned Paper: Simple Stories Welcome Spring; Cardstock: Stampin' Up Blushing Bride; Stickers: Simple Stories Welcome Spring; die: Stampin' Up stitched circles; enamel dots: CTMH; epoxy word: American Crafts Thickers Circa

I had so much fun with this sketch!  I loved these pictures of my niece and nephew from a few years back but had been waiting for the "perfect" papers to use with them....well, I kept trying out Fall lines which these pictures were taken in the fall but I didn't like how the oranges looked with these pictures, so I tried this line and just loved how it looked!! So even though the pictures are from the Fall and the paper is called Welcome Spring it all worked out perfectly!!  Our challenges close at 9:55 pm CST tonight so you still have a few hours to get your craft one!  Make sure and head on over to the Sketch N Scrap blog to see what the amazing DT did with this sketch!  Happy creating!

July 20th card sketch at Sketch N Scrap!

Happy  Hump Day!  July is flying by and it's almost time to welcome in August!! But I am back today to share another card I made with the amazing July 20th card sketch @ Sketch N Scrap!  I just loved this card sketch so much I made TWO cards with it!! Here is a reminder of this amazing sketch by Heather Hall:

Here is my second card made from this fun sketch:

Supplies Used: cardstock: Stampin' Up - Whisper White; ink: Stampin' Up Melon Mambo; stamp: CTMH Card Captions; patterned paper: Pink Paislee And Many More; foam sticker: Pink Paislee And Many More

I just loved the bright vibrant papers in this line by Pink Paislee called And Many More that was in my July Flavors of the Month kit at The Scraproom!! It is so pretty!! This large foam sticker was great to use in place of the flower in the sketch!!  I added a quick stamped greeting using the Melon Mambo ink from Stampin' Up and here you have a beautiful quick card!! This sketch made it so easy!!  I hope you find time to play along with us before the end of the month at Sketch N Scrap!  Happy creating!

Sketch N Scrap card sketch #174

Happy Monday! I hope you had an amazingly creative weekend!  I am doing some reorganizing in my craft room so I worked on that as well as my projects this weekend.  Today we have our last sketch of the month up at Sketch N Scrap! It's hard to believe this month is winding down, it went by so quickly!!  Here is the fun card sketch that sketch artist Heather created for us:

Here is my card using the sketch:

Supplies Used: Cardstock: Whisper White - Stampin' Up; Patterned Paper: Pebbles Girl Squad; flower: Pebbles Girl Squad; ink: Memento Tuxedo Black; stamp: CTMH  Life is a Journey

I have been hoarding this paper to long and when I was reorganizing I came across this big flower and knew it was perfect for this sketch so I dug out my Pebbles Girl Squad 6 x 6 paper pad and created this card in just a few minutes! I also had never used this stamp set called Life is a Journey by CTMH and I am not sure why because it is super cute!! So it was long overdue for me to ink it up!!! I love how fast this card came together using this sketch!  I plan to make another card or two with it before the month is up, it's super versatile!!  I hope you will find time to play along with us at Sketch N Scrap this month.  Make sure and head on over to the Sketch N Scrap blog to see how the DT is using this awesome sketch!  Happy creating!

Cookin' Up Creations White + Orange Challenge!

TGIF!  Today I am sharing another fun challenge that I am hosting over at Cookin' Up Creations!!  If you remember from earlier in the month we are focusing on the color WHITE plus one other color this month and the other color changes for each challenge!  My last challenge I had the color pink but for this challenge I have the color ORANGE!!  I don't know about you but when I think of orange I think of Fall!!  So I printed out a Fall picture of my sister-in-law, brother and nephew taken on their front porch a few Falls back when it was all decked out!!  Here is my layout for this fun challenge:
Supplies Used: cardstock: White & Black- Stampin' Up; Patterned Papers: Bella Blvd Hello Autumn (plaid); Elle's Studio Sweater Weather (words) & Pretty Little Studio Indian Summer (leaves); leaves: Pretty Little Studio Indian Summer; title/word strip: Hip Kit Club; chipboard: (Home is where the heart is)- Hip Kit Club; enamel dots: Echo Park

I love how this turned out! I used mainly scraps from my scraps pile for this layout.  The only non-scrap was the word paper from Elle's Studio which is a 6 x 6 piece from one of my 6 x 6 pads.  I had fun combining a variety of manufacturers products on this layout and I think it turned out so well and everyone worked well together despite being from different lines!  Make sure and head on over to Cookin' Up Creations to see what the other members did and see what other colors we have been challenged to use!  I hope you will find time to play along with us this month!  Happy creating!

Sketch N Scrap card sketch #173

Happy Monday!!  I had a very productive weekend and hope you did to, kind of sad it has to end!!  So today we have another amazing sketch up on the Sketch N Scrap blog!! This card sketch was designed by sketch artist Stacy!!  Here is her super fun sketch:

Here is the card I created with this fun sketch:
Supplies Used: Card base: CTMH; patterned Paper : PhotoPlay Red, White & Blue and Scenic Route; stickers: PhotoPlay Red, White & Blue; ink: Stampin' Up Night of Navy; stamps: CTMH; large die cut star: Scenic Route

When I first saw this sketch I immediately thought of this large star from my stash that was SOOOO old!!!  It is from Scenic Route, so it has to be over 10 years old!!  When I finally located the star it was to big for the card, so I opted to cut off the outer part to make it small enough for a card.  I then added some old scraps of Scenic Route paper as well as some from a July 2018 ScrapRoom kit by PhotoPlay Paper.  The sticker is from PhotoPlay and the stamp is one I use a lot from CTMH.  This card allowed me to bash some really old stash so that put a smile on my face!!  Make sure and head on over to the Sketch N Scrap blog to check out what the other DT members did with this amazing sketch!  Happy creating!

Cookin' Up Creations Color challenge fun!

Good evening friends!! Today I am so excited to be sharing my first ever challenge as a member of the Cookin' Up Creations Creative Challenge Team!!   For the month of July we are focusing on the color WHITE plus one additional color for every challenge!!  My assigned color for this challenge was PINK!!  Well, how easy is that?  I love pink!! The hardest part of this challenge for me was picking what pink paper to use!  You are only to use WHITE plus the one color of the day (in my case pink) and your layout must be 75% white plus 25% the challenge color!  Every Monday the challenge has the additional challenge to use a sketch.  I was able to pick the sketch and I chose this sketch created by Heather Hall for Sketch N Scrap:

Here is the layout I created based on the sketch and on the challenge to use WHITE + PINK

Supplies Used: Patterned Paper: Carta Bella It's a Girl; Cardstock: White- Baszill; Stickers: PhotoPlay Paper About a Little Girl & Carta Bella It's a Girl.

I had so much fun with the sketch! These photos of my friend's little granddaughter as a newborn are just so precious! They were perfect for a pink & white layout! I think the large amount of cardstock is perfect as it really makes these precious photos pop!  I hope you are able to join us at Cookin' Up Creations as we play with color this month!! Make sure and head on over to the forum to see what other colors we are playing with, I am sure you will find your favorite color featured one day soon!!!  Happy creating!

Sketch N Scrap #204

Happy Hump Day! I for one am glad the week is half over!! I am looking forward to some scrappy time this weekend!  It's a new month so that means a new layout sketch is revealed today at Sketch N Scrap!  Today's sketch is brought to us by sketch artist Stacy.  Here is her amazing sketch:

Here is my layout I created with this fun sketch:
Supplies Used: Patterned Paper: Elle's Studio (background), American Crafts, Simple Stories Oh Happy Day; stickers: Simple Stories Oh Happy Day; ephemera: Simple Stories Oh Happy Day; Letter stickers: PinkFresh Studios

I love how this layout turned out!  I used ephemera and some papers (pink/black and white) from my June Great Stash Bash kit.  The background paper is from a previous Stash Bash kit that I didn't use and the strawberry paper I pulled out because of course it was the perfect paper for this photo!!  Stacy's sketch is so fun and makes creating a layout super fast and easy.  Make sure and check out what the other DT members did with the sketch on the Sketch N Scrap blog!  I hope you will find time to join in the fun this month! Happy creating!

Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash 2020 ~ July Edition

Happy July!!  I can't believe we are in a new month already! The Summer is flying by!! I had so much fun with last month's kit but all good things must come to an end and it's time to launch the July edition of Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash 2020!!

For those who are new to the challenge here is how it works:
On the 1st of each month we will post a challenge prompt and the stash kit we have created following that prompt. During the month we will try to use as much of our stash kits as possible on different projects. Then, on the last day of the month, we will do a recap post showing what stash we were able to bash!
This will be a just-for-fun challenge so no monthly prize - but isn't the real prize using up our stash? You never know - if we still have a few unused stash items after a few months, then those items may just go into a giveaway. We hope you will join us in our quest to bash some stash in 2020. If you accept the challenge to play along - link up on either my blog or Lori's blog (or both if you choose) so that we can see who is joining us each month!

Now for our July challenge:

Here are the rules:
This month we will create a kit with 10 papers (seven papers 3 years or older & three newer papers), 5-7 scrap papers, 4 embellishments (three that are 3 years or older & one newer one), and some Project Life style cards!!
1. Follow the challenge prompt to create a kit to work with throughout the month. You may use other items, but please concentrate on using your kit.
2. Create new, not previously posted projects using your stash kit.
3. If you have a blog - please include the challenge graphic and a link to our challenge in your posts.
4. You may link to social media if you don't have a blog. If you share on Instagram, please make sure to use - #lisaandlorisgreatstashbash2020
Since this is a just for fun challenge the rules are not set in stone BUT we have them to help you focus on what really matters using your stash!  We also hope you will help spread the word of our fun challenge so others may join in!!  You know you have at least one friend who needs to use her stash!!
Here is my kit using the July prompts:

Some close ups:
My 7 older papers:
These papers are all from Echo Park Splendid Sunshine's collection circa 2014!! The one navy with pink dots piece is from the Crate Paper Oasis line.  I think it's time to use up these papers don't you?

My 4 newer papers:
These papers are from the following lines: Left to right: Dear Lizzy It's all good; PhotoPlay Paper We Are Family, Simple Stories Posh & My Mind's Eye Tutti Fruitti.  I have just one or two papers left from these lines and since they coordinate fairly well with Echo Parks Splendid Sunshine and with each other I have included them in my kit so I can finally "kill" the kits they came in.

My scraps:
I am back to an overflowing scrap bin so I have picked out 9 scraps to use. These are from various manufacturers including PhotoPlay Paper, Echo Park, Fancy Pants, Scenic Route & Bella Blvd...although I can't recall the specific lines as the branding strips have been removed. Hoping to make my scrap bin more manageable this month!!

My embellishments and Project Life type cards:
I am using 12 x 12 stickers sheets from the Simple Stories Posh and Echo Park Splendid Sunshine lines and ephemera from the Simple Stories Posh line for my 3 older embellishments.  My newer embellishment is ephemera from PhotoPlay's We Are Family line.  My Project Life type cards are from various sources including The Reset Girl, Elle's Studio, and cut apart cards from the Simple Stories Posh line!  I have others in the pile but have no earthly idea where I got them!  I have TOOOOOO many of these type cards and hope to find some fun ways to use them this month!  If you have any ideas let me know!
I am super excited to dig into my fun kit this month!! I hope you will join myself and Lori as we endeavor to bash some stash this month!  A big thank you and shout out to Becca who played along with us last month!!  Remember if you play along make sure and use the #lisaandlorisgreatstashbash2020.  I can't wait to see your kit!  Happy creating!!
