Double Page fun with the December Flavors of the Month kit!

Happy Friday Eve!!  Today I am sharing my last layout for this month using the December Flavors of the Month kit at The ScrapRoom.  Here is a reminder of the kit:

Here is the Simple Stories Vintage North Pole collection I am using today:

Here is my layout using this gorgeous collection:
Supplies Used: Red cardstock- from the kit; Patterned Paper: Simple Stories Vintage North Pole; chipboard frame: Simple Stories Vintage North Pole- from the kit; ephemera: Simple Stories Vintage North Pole- from the kit: letter stickers: Paper Trunk- from my stash; enamel dot: Recollections- from my stash; 3D sticker: Simple Stories Vintage North Pole- from the kit; foam holly: Simple Stories Vintage North Pole- from the embellishment kit

I had a lot of fun making this layout.  These are older pictures and I have been waiting for the "perfect" line to document them.  My niece and I used to always go to the local Children's theater to see the Christmas Musical every year and this particular year my niece was wanting a robotic dog that was popular at the time called Zoomer.  It was one of those hard to find toys so my sister kept telling her Santa might not bring it.  So when she saw the mailbox where you could send Santa a letter and the letter writing areas in the foyer of the theater she went right to work on her letter to ensure she got a Zoomer that Christmas!!  Luckily Santa was able to find one last one and bring it to her!!  And as most kids do she barely played with it lol!   Make sure and head over to The ScrapRoom blog to check out the other double page layouts the DT has created with this amazing kit!!  Happy creating!

TN Time with Lisa & Lori ~ December edition!

Happy December!!  This year flew by didn't it?  I can't believe we are ending our second year of the TN Time with Lisa & Lori challenge!!  Today it's time for the December edition of our challenge!  So let's get the party started!!

HERE IS HOW OUR CHALLENGE WORKS: This is a monthly challenge that launches on the 10th of each month  You will have until the 9th at midnight CST to link up your entries. If you complete my sketch challenge link your TN, bullet journal or planner spread below. If you combined my challenge with Lori's challenge link up your spread here on my blog AND on Lori's Blog (My Happy Life).  You will then have a chance to win my prize as well as Lori's prize!  That's a chance to win TWO times with ONE layout! WOW!

Now for my challenge!! Here is this month's sketch:

Now for Lori's fun challenge: (December 10th-January 9th)

What an easy peasy challenge!!  Document about ANYTHING your heart desires!!  I kept a Gratitude Journal for the month of November this year and I got to Day 12 and life got so busy I had to stop decorating my pages and just keep up with my daily journaling, so I am working on finishing this journal up before the end of the year!!  I have 18 pages to decorate so I decided to use this sketch to finish 2 of those pages!!
Here is my spread in my November 2020 Gratitude Journal- I used the sketch & Lori's challenge:
Supplies Used:  Patterned Paper: Simple Stories Cozy Days & Scenic Route Graph paper; tag: Simple Stories Cozy Days; stickers: Simple Stories Cozy Days (heart, grateful banner & raccoon); ephemera: PinkFresh Studio Days of Splendor; enamel dots: My Mind's Eye

Here are some close ups:
The prompt for this day was friends.  I have so many amazing friends both near and far so I have a lot to be grateful for in this category!!  As you can see I stayed true to the sketch and instead of a photo I placed my journaling box in that spot.

Right Page:
Again I replaced the photo spot with a journaling box.  The prompt for this day was Technology!  I have a sort of love hate relationship with technology but for this day I decided to focus on all the good technology has done in my life!!   Wish me luck as I endeavor to finish this Gratitude journal up by the end of the year!  I am sure you will be seeing more pages from it soon here on the blog!!

Now for the nitty gritty of how to play along:

December 1st sketch @ Sketch N Scrap

Happy December!!  I can't believe it's a new month already!  The holidays are just around the corner, are you ready??  I am in a Christmas mood so I decided to make a Christmas layout using the December 1st sketch at Sketch N Scrap as well as the December Flavors of the month kit at The ScrapRoom!  Here is the fun kit I am working with this month:

Here is the Fancy Pants Wishmas collection I am using on today's layout:

The December 1st sketch by Heather Hall that my layout is based on:

My layout created with this fun kit and sketch:
Supplies: Cardstock: green- from the kit; Patterned Paper: Fancy Pants Wishmas- from the kit; ephemera: Fancy Pants Wishmas- from the kit; letter stickers: American Crafts Thickers- from my stash; enamel dots: from the kit

For some reason when I saw this sketch I immediately thought of Christmas ornaments!!  So I decided to try and make them using hand cut circles (I traced 2 plates) and some of the ephemera from the kit!  Of course the bow was perfect, but I was struggling to handcut the other bow when I realized if I turned the scarf included in my kit upside down it worked for the top of the ornament!! I love how this layout turned out, it's not my usual style and so I had a lot of fun playing around with this sketch and kit!!  Don't forget to hop on over to the Sketch N Scrap blog and The ScrapRoom blog to see what other amazing layouts the DT's have created with this kit and this sketch!!  Happy creating!!

Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash 2020 ~ December edition!

Happy December!!! This means 2020 is almost over!! Yay!!  I know you are as ready as I am for a fresh new start!! So let's kick off this month right with a new edition of Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash!  It's our last month so let's finish strong!!!

For those who are new to the challenge here is how it works:
On the 1st of each month we will post a challenge prompt and the stash kit we have created using that prompt. During the month we will try to use as much of our stash kits as possible on different projects. Then, on the last day of the month, we will do a recap post showing what stash we were able to bash!
This will be a just-for-fun challenge so no monthly prize - but isn't the real prize using up our stash? You never know - if we still have a few unused stash items after a few months, then those items may just go into a giveaway. We hope you will join us in our quest to bash some stash in 2020. If you accept the challenge to play along - link up on either my blog or Lori's Blog (or both if you choose) so that we can see who is joining us each month!

Now for our December challenge:

Here are the rules:
This month we will create a kit with 10 papers (seven papers 3 years or older & three newer papers), 5-7 scrap papers, 4 embellishments (three that are 3 years or older & one newer one), and some chipboard!!!

1. Follow the challenge prompt to create a kit to work with throughout the month. You may use other items, but please concentrate on using your kit.
2. Create new, not previously posted projects using your stash kit.
3. If you have a blog - please include the challenge graphic and a link to our challenge in your posts.
4. You may link to social media if you don't have a blog. If you share on Instagram, please make sure to use - #lisaandlorisgreatstashbash2020
Since this is a just for fun challenge the rules are not set in stone BUT we have them to help you focus on what really matters using your stash!  We also hope you will help spread the word of our fun challenge so others may join in!!  You know you have at least one friend who needs to use her stash!!
Here is my kit using the December prompts:
This month Lori & I decided we had several Stash Bash kits we had not really used as much as we would have liked...because well...LIFE!  So we decided for December we would go back through all the kits we have had for 2020 and pick out a kit for December from those untouched papers!!  So we get another chance to use up these papers!! Yay!

For my kit this month I made 2 mini kits:
For kit #1 I used papers from Echo Park Just Be You, Dear Lizzy She's Magic, PinkFresh Studios Everyday Musings and CTMH Celebrate Mix In.  The scraps are from PhotoPlay Free Bird Line and the stickers are from the Pebbles Homemade and PhotoPlay Free Bird lines!  What a fun kit, I love these stickers!

Kit #2:
For this fun kit I chose papers from Pink Paislee Cedar Lane and Amy Tangerine Ready Set Go.  The scraps are from Fancy Pants Cherry on Top & Pink Paislee Cedar Lane.  The stickers are from Carta Bella Oh Happy Day, Pink Paislee Cedar Lane & Simple Stories DIY.  I also threw in some random wood veneers from various collections.

These are all the embellishments I have selected for this month:

Here is the chipboard I have selected for this month based on our stash item for December:
This chipboard is from PinkFresh Studios Everyday Musings (frames) and My Favorite Story (buttons).  The chipboard letters are from American Craft Thickers.

I am super excited to dig into my fun kit this month!! I hope you will join me and Lori as we endeavor to bash some stash this month!  Remember if you play along make sure and use the #lisaandlorisgreatstashbash2020.  I can't wait to see your kit!  Lori & I are still planning to do this challenge in 2021!!  If you have any suggestions on things you would like to see drop us a comment!!  Happy creating!!

Sketch N Scrap #213

TGIF!! There is a new sketch up at Sketch N Scrap by sketch artist Stacy and I am playing around with it today!  When I first saw the sketch I knew I had to play with it, it's so fun!!  Here is the amazing sketch:

Here is my layout using the sketch:
Supplies Used: Cardstock: Bazzill- White; Patterned Paper: Simple Stories Cozy Days, Carta Bella Fall Market & Carta Bella Hello Autumn; tag: unknown source, ephemera: Carta Bella Fall Market, stickers: Carta Bella Fall Market; gold leaves and word (sweet): American Craft Thickers.

November Jumpstart sketch at The ScrapRoom

Happy Hump Day!!  Today I am sharing another layout created with the November Flavors of the month kit at The ScrapRoom.  This layout is created with the amazing mini kit from Simple Stories Cozy Days, gosh I love this collection!!  Definitely up there in my top ten of all time!!  Here is the mini kit I used for today's layout:

Here is the November Jumpstart sketch I used to created today's layout:

Here is my layout using the kit & the sketch:

Supplies Used: Navy cardstock- from the kit; Patterned Paper: Simple Stories Cozy Days- from the kit; ephemera: Simple Stories Cozy Days-from the kit; letter stickers: American Crafts Thickers- from my stash; puffy stickers: Simple Stories Cozy Days: from the kit; doily- from my stash.

I love how this turned out!  I printed my pictures in black and white so they weren't competing with the colors of the papers and it looks great!  I used one larger photo in lieu of the two smaller ones in the sketch. I also used my black pen to outline some of the papers to make them pop more.  I added a doily in place of the leaves in the upper right corner as I thought it fit the look of my layout better.  I hope you will hop on over to The ScrapRoom blog to see what the other DT members did with this sketch and this kit, so much inspiration!  Happy creating!
