TN Time with Lisa & Lori ~ December edition

Happy Monday!!  This year has flown by! Can you believe it is almost 2022?  It doesn't seem possible the end of the year is upon us does it?!!  I am sorry for the delay in posting our challenge this month, life once again has gotten in the way with plumbing problems & various other issues, but all is well now thank goodness! I'm excited to share this month's sketch and challenge with you, so without further adieu, let's get this party started!!

HERE IS HOW OUR CHALLENGE WORKS: This is a monthly challenge that launches on the 10th of each month  You will have until the 9th at midnight CST to link up your entries. If you complete my sketch challenge link your TN, bullet journal or planner spread below. If you combined my challenge with Lori's challenge link up your spread here on my blog AND on Lori's Blog (My Happy Life). For 2021 we are making this challenge a "just for fun" challenge with no prize, but isn't the real prize just documenting your memories and getting more pages done in 2021???!!!!
Now for my challenge!! Here is this month's sketch:

Now for Lori's December challenge (December 20th - January 9th):

December is a busy month so we decided that we needed an easy challenge this month!  You can't get much easier than anything goes can you??!!!

Here is my layout using the sketch and Lori's challenge:
Supplies Used: Patterned Paper: Simple Stories Merry & Bright and Vicki Boutin Warm Wishes (word paper); stickers: Vicki Boutin Warm Wishes (words) & Simple Stories Merry & Bright; ephemera: Simple Stories Merry & Bright (tree); stamp: Elle's Studio; ink: Memento Tuxedo Black & enamel dots: Carta Bella Sunflower Market.

I am still working on my 2020 TN.  This is the second to the last spread in this book!  I am excited to finish it next month!  This picture is from last year's trip to Downtown Fort Worth to see the lights and the Christmas tree!  Such fun memories and a great tradition!

Now for some close ups:

I love how Simple Stories does layered stickers!  It gives texture to your layouts without all the bulk, which is important in a traveler's notebook!

I created my own Project Life card using some word paper and a cute Christmas tree from the ephemera pack that came with my Simple Stories Merry & Bright collection!!  I added computer journaling to get everything to fit in the small spot I had for journaling!!

   RULES FOR THE CHALLENGE:
1.Create a TRAVELER'S NOTEBOOK, PLANNER, OR BULLET JOURNAL spread based on the CHALLENGE THEME and/or our sketch.
2.Create a new, not previously posted project.
3.You are welcome to combine with other challenges.

Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash ~ December edition!

Happy December!  It's a new month and that means it's time for another edition of The Great Stash Bash with Lisa & Lori!  The weather is gorgeous here in Texas for December and the holiday season is upon us, time to get those Christmas presents wrapped and those Christmas cards made!! So without further adieu let's get this party started with the December edition of Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash 2021!!

For those who are new to the challenge here is how it works:
On the 1st of each month we will post a challenge prompt and the stash kit we have created using that prompt. During the month we will try to use as much of our stash kits as possible on different projects. Then, on the last day of the month, we will do a recap post showing what stash we were able to bash!
This will be a just-for-fun challenge so there is no monthly prize - but isn't the real prize using up our stash?  We hope you will join us in our quest to bash some stash in 2021. If you accept the challenge to play along - link up on either my blog or Lori's Blog (or both if you choose) so that we can see who is joining us each month!

Now for our December challenge:

Here are the rules for 2021:
Each month we will create a kit with 10 or more papers (dig into your stash for new or old papers it's up to  you!), 5-7 scrap papers (let's keep those scrap piles under control!), 3-4 embellishments (new or old- you decide), and a stash bash item!  This month's stash bash item is stamps!!!
1. Follow the challenge prompt to create a kit to work with throughout the month. You may use other items, but please concentrate on using your kit.
2. Create new, not previously posted projects using your stash kit.
3. If you have a blog - please include the challenge graphic & a link to our challenge in your posts.
4. You may link to social media if you don't have a blog. If you share on Instagram, please make sure to use - #lisaandlorisgreatstashbash2021
Since this is a just for fun challenge the rules are not set in stone BUT we have them to help you focus on what really matters using your stash!  We also hope you will help spread the word of our fun challenge so others may join in!!  You know you have at least one friend who needs to use her stash!!
This month I decided on one kit instead of two!  It was SOOO hard to narrow down my papers to just 10 but I wanted to have a better chance of using up my kit this month so I kept it to just 10 papers this month even though it was super hard!!
My kit for December:
Here are the 10 papers I chose for my kit this month:
The papers are from Photo Play Paper Be Joyful, Pebbles Home for Christmas (black words), and Hip Kit Club Make a Wish (November 2019 kit papers).  I think these papers coordinate well together don't you?

Now for my embellishments:
My embellishments are from Hip Kit Club Make a Wish, Photo Play Paper Be Joyful & Simple Stories Vintage North Pole.  I think these are a fun set of embellishments to work with and I am excited to try and use them up this month!!  I don't have any of the paper left from the Simple Stories line so I would really like to use up these embellishments this month!!  It's hard when the papers to match a set of embellishments are gone, as I tend to then just stick the left overs in my closet and the pile is growing and needs pared down (that is my 2022 goal!).

Now for my stamps for this kit:
As you can see I have a variety of Christmas stamps from Stampin' Up & CTMH.  These sets are so gorgeous but barely used and I hope to remedy that this month!!

My scraps for this month:
As you can see I have just picked 5 scraps this month.  They are from Simple Stories Holly Days, Carta Bella Home for Christmas, CTMH Tis the Season & Hip Kit Make a Wish.  These are larger scraps that I think will coordinate well with my kit.  I have been doing a great job using my scraps on cards so my scrap pile at the moment is manageable and I hope by using up the larger scraps I can keep my scrap piles under control!!

I am super excited to dig into my fun kit this month!! I hope you will join Lori and myself as we endeavor to bash some stash!  Remember if you play along make sure and use the hashtag #lisaandlorisgreatstashbash2021.  I can't wait to see your kit!  If you create a kit link up below to share with us all!!  Happy creating!!

TN Time with Lisa & Lori ~ November edition!

TGIF!!  This year is flying by! Can you believe it is already time for our November challenge? It doesn't see possible the holidays are upon us does it?!!

Now for Lori's November challenge (November 10th - December 9th):

What a fun challenge! Kraft is such a great neutral color don't you think?  I have so many cut apart/Project Life cards that I need to use, so I am so happy to participate in Lori's challenge this month!!!
Here is my layout using the sketch and Lori's challenge:
Supplies Used: Cardstock: Stampin' Up Basic Black; Patterned Paper: Photo Play Paper Not a Creature was Stirring, Doodlebug Designs Here Comes Santa Claus & Fancy Pants Cozy Christmas; stickers: Photo Play Not a Creature was Stirring (gingerbread house, word JOLLY & gum drops), October Afternoon Very Merry (gingerbread man), Pink Fresh Studios Holiday Magic (word strip banner) & Pebbles Cozy & Bright (tree/peppermints); Project Life card: Elle's Studio; letter stickers: American Crafts Thickers; enamel hearts: Doodlebug Designs.

I am still catching up on my 2020 TN, I still have 3 more spreads to do and then I will be finished!!  I love how I was able to combine so many manufacturers on this spread to give it the exact feel I was aiming for!!
Here are some close ups:

I have been hoarding this Project Life card for a while now, so glad to put it to use!  I outlined the Project Life card to pop it off the page.  I used this Kraft patterned paper by Fancy Pants as a background on this page as I felt like the white was to stark, I am loving the result this paper really brings out my kraft accents and embellishments!

Since I added journaling here on this page as called for on the sketch I decided to embellish my Project Life Card which had plenty of room for journaling. I added this adorable gingerbread man from October Afternoon to the corner of this page as it was to big as an accent for my picture and just didn't look right as far as proportions went next to the Gingerbread house!

                 RULES FOR THE CHALLENGE:
1.Create a TRAVELER'S NOTEBOOK, PLANNER, OR BULLET JOURNAL spread based on the CHALLENGE THEME and/or our sketch.
