TN Time with Lisa and Lori!!

Good morning crafty friends!!  I am so excited to announce a fun new venture that myself and my good pal Lori are launching today!  We are launching our very first challenge for those of our crafty friends who use TN's (traveler's notebooks), planners or bullet journals!  Lori and I have both wanted to try using a TN for some time now and we decided to launch a fun combined challenge for our crafty friends so they can play along with us and join in the fun!  We are calling our challenge:
TN TIME WITH LISA AND LORI

Here is how the challenge will work:  The challenge will be a monthly challenge and launch of the 10th of each month  You will have until the 9th at midnight CST to link up your entries. If you complete my sketch challenge link your TN, bullet journal or planner spread below. If you combined my challenge with Lori's challenge to use at least THREE patterned papers post your TN, bullet journal or planner spread below AND on Lori's Blog (My Happy Life).  You will have a chance to win my prize as well as Lori's prize!  That's a chance to win TWO times with ONE spread!!

Here is my TN spread based on the sketch AND Lori's 3 or more patterned papers challenge!
I am reading the book My One Word and just LOVE it!  I  am half way through.  It encourages you to pick ONE word for the year to concentrate on to help you focus in on an area of your life you want to change.  More info here: http://myoneword.org/word  My word is ABIDE.  Abide: to bear patiently, to wait for; to endure without yielding; to accept without objection.   I am starting 2019 off with this ONE word.  Hoping to focus on abiding, patiently waiting and being more accepting of challenges I will face.  Abiding in His word and yielding to HIS word as I study scripture on a regular basis in this coming year.  I plan to use this notebook to document my struggles, joys, and strategies as I focus on this ONE word this year...who knows where this will take me but I hope it will be a diary of sorts to keep me on track.  So whatever you use your TN for I know you will enjoy it as much as I have!  There are so many ways to use your TN I'd love to hear how you are using yours in 2019 or what you have done in the past!!

Here is the prize I will be giving away to one randomly selected winner from all entries:
Pink Paislee Hello Sunshine chipboard stickers

BONUS CHALLENGE:  combine my sketch challenge along with Lori's challenge below for a chance to win her prize:

  1. Hi! I'm a new Follower...came over from Lori's Blog. Love this idea. I have been documenting in Traveler's Notebooks since the Fall of 2017. I hope to find time to play because this sounds like such a fun idea!

  4. How exciting I am looking forward to seeing where you take this! Love your project. I was not picking a word this year but more and more I realize my word is choice. I still am in senile but I might be making a project about it soon. Hugs A

  5. Hi Lisa! You have caught my attention. Huey is officially retired as of December 20. We took the plunge yesterday and bought a motor home. I was planning to start a daily diary of days spent on the road. I want it to include at least a picture a day, things we do, things we see - along with information about the parks where we stay - for future reference.
I was thinking that I would make a formatted page that I would use daily to journal on with a place for pics. I haven't decided on a size yet. After seeing your new adventure, I was thinking it would be fun to throw in something like this periodically to add color and interest.
Right now my brain is spinning with ideas, but it is close to the time to sit down and start doodling. I see the line down the center. Is this a fold line? Will this be on all sketches? I have only heard of TN once before and I'm not sure what constitutes a TN. I look forward to hearing from you.

    1. Sharon I will send you a PM but the line down the center is the fold line in the TN notebook, to designate this is a 2 page spread. Most TN's are around 8.5 inches tall x 4.25 inches wide. Sizes do vary a bit but more like by 1/2 to 1/4 of an inch. I have a few TN's and the size does seem to vary by manufacturer. The one you see in my post is by Illustrated Faith. I know you will love it and congrats on the motor home!

  6. Hi, Lisa! I've seen your creations for TSR and SNS in recent months and through Lori's blog, I discovered your new joint adventure in paper-crafting. This is a marvelous idea and I like the joint challenges 'to fuse or not to fuse'! :) I'm considering a bullet journal but I'm still mulling this over. It might be February before I do something but I am intrigued!!!!

  8. Just received my prize package. Super fantastic!!!! Thank you for the card and kind words. I had to chuckle, because I frequently write on post-its in my cards as well. It hurts to write in them. I want to allow the recipient the option to regift them.
