Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Adventure 2026 ~ September 2026 edition

Happy September! It's a new month and time to launch another fun edition of Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash Adventure! I did quite well last month using my kit and although I still have some of it left I am very pleased with my progress!! My total was 2 layouts and 2 cards using my kit last month!! I have one layout planned out using my kit but ran out of time to get it done but stay tuned, I hope to finish it later this month!   Now without further adieu let's kick off the September edition of Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash 2026!!
Here is how our 2026 challenge works:
On the 1st of each month we will post a challenge prompt and the stash kit we have created using that prompt. During the month we will try to use as much of our stash kit as possible on different projects. Then, somewhere along the way we will do a recap post showing what stash we were able to bash!
This will be a just-for-fun challenge so there is no monthly prize - but isn't the real prize using up our stash?  We hope you will join us on our quest to bash some stash in 2026. If you accept the challenge to play along - link up on either my blog or Lori's Blog My Happy Life (or both if you choose) so that we can see who is joining us each month!

Now for our Stash Bash kit recipe for this month:

Here is my kit for this month:
I have a number of animal photos/zoo photos I need to scrap so hoping to use up this kit on those photos!

The "A" sides of my papers:
These patterned papers are from the Simple Stories Into the Wild collection.  I am picking red, olive and brown cardstock this month from Bazzill.

These are the "B" sides of my papers:
As you can see a few of these papers have some really fun cut apart cards!! I think the alligators or elephants would be fun to fussy cut!

My embellishments:
These embellishments are from the Simple Stories Into the Wild collection (cut apart cards, chipboard, stickers and ephemera).  How cute is that big bear journaling card???!!

My alphas:
I love these fun colors!  All these alphas are from American Craft Thickers, except the brown mini alphas which are from Doodlebug Designs.

My stash bash item: tags:
This cut apart tag sheet is from the Simple Stories Into the Wild collection and the other tags are from unknown manufacturers and have been in my desk tag bin for years, so hoping to finally use them up!!

I hope you will join us this month!!!
Here are the rules for 2026:
Each month we will create a kit using the recipe (found above) of 3-5 patterned papers of any size (dig into your stash for new or old papers it's up to  you!), 2-3 embellishments, 2-3 pieces of cardstock, alphas and our stash bash item!
This month's stash bash item is: tags
1. Follow the challenge prompt to create a kit to work with throughout the month. You may use other items, but try to concentrate on using your kit.
2. Create new, not previously posted projects using your stash kit.
3. If you have a blog - please include the challenge graphic & a link to our challenge in your posts.
4. You may link to social media if you don't have a blog. If you share on Instagram, please make sure to use - #lisaandlorisgreatstashbash2026
Since this is a just for fun challenge the rules are not set in stone BUT we have them to help you focus on what really matters using your stash!  We also hope you will help spread the word of our fun challenge so others may join in!!  You know you have at least one friend who needs to use her stash!!

I am super excited to dig into my fun kit this month!! I hope you will join Lori and myself as we endeavor to bash some stash!  Remember if you play along make sure and use the hashtag #lisaandlorisgreatstashbash2026.  I can't wait to see your kit!  If you create a kit link up below to share with us all!!  Happy creating!!

August 20th throwback sketch challenge @ Sketch N Scrap

TGIF!!  The month is coming to a close but I was able to squeeze in one more challenge before the month ends!!  Sketch N Scrap is having a throwback card challenge for their August 20th challenge and I had to join in the fun!!
Here are the sketches you can choose from for the challenge:

Here is my layout using throwback sketch #86:
Supplies Used: Cardstock: Bazzill white; Patterned Paper: Simple Stories Summer Snapshots (lemon & green), Echo Park Birthday Girl (pink circles & multi plaid); cut apart card: Simple Stories Summer Snapshots; stickers: Simple Stories Summer Snappshots; enamel dots: Simple Stories; alphas: Jillibean Soup (yellow) & Pretty Little Studio (blue); labels: unknown.

I love how this layout turned out!  I how this color palette screams Summer!  Everything used for this layout is from my August Stash Bash kit except for two additional scraps I found in my scrap pile (the multi plaid and pink circles) that I thought matched back to my main papers perfectly! This is my granddaughter playing with sidewalk chalk one afternoon this past Summer.  I had the honor to watch her this Summer while her Mom worked and we had fun having Grammy camp!!  I hope you will find time to join us at Sketch N Scrap this month!!  We can't wait to see what you create!!
