Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash ~ October edition!

Happy October!  It's a new month and that means it's time for another edition of The Great Stash Bash with Lisa & Lori!  Fall is in the air here in Texas and it's my favorite season so I was so happy to get to pull out all things Fall for my kits this month!! So without further adieu let's get this party started with the October edition of Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash 2021!!

For those who are new to the challenge here is how it works:
On the 1st of each month we will post a challenge prompt and the stash kit we have created using that prompt. During the month we will try to use as much of our stash kits as possible on different projects. Then, on the last day of the month, we will do a recap post showing what stash we were able to bash!
This will be a just-for-fun challenge so there is no monthly prize - but isn't the real prize using up our stash?  We hope you will join us in our quest to bash some stash in 2021. If you accept the challenge to play along - link up on either my blog or Lori's Blog (or both if you choose) so that we can see who is joining us each month!

Now for our October challenge:

Here are the rules for 2021:
This month we will create a kit with 10 or more papers (dig into your stash for new or old papers it's up to  you!), 5-7 scrap papers (let's keep those scrap piles under control!), 3-4 embellishments (new or old- you decide), and some embossing folders!!!
1. Follow the challenge prompt to create a kit to work with throughout the month. You may use other items, but please concentrate on using your kit.
2. Create new, not previously posted projects using your stash kit.
3. If you have a blog - please include the challenge graphic and a link to our challenge in your posts.
4. You may link to social media if you don't have a blog. If you share on Instagram, please make sure to use - #lisaandlorisgreatstashbash2021
Since this is a just for fun challenge the rules are not set in stone BUT we have them to help you focus on what really matters using your stash!  We also hope you will help spread the word of our fun challenge so others may join in!!  You know you have at least one friend who needs to use her stash!!
This month I decided to do 2 mini kits again!!
Here are my 2 mini kits using this month's prompts:
KIT #1:
For this kit I used what I have left of my Simple Stories Cozy Days collection from last year!  I must say this is one of my all time favorite Simple Stories Collections!

Here is a close up of the papers:

KIT #2:
For this kit I have TONS of embellishments!  The papers are from CTMH True Love & Sweet Girl, Pinkfresh Studios Days of Splendor, and Jen Hadfield The Avenue.  What mix up!  The embellishments are all from PinkFresh Studio Days of Splendor except for the very OLD wooden buttons from My Mind's Eye I threw in to mix things up, I have been trying to get rid of these buttons for years!!
Here is a close up of the papers:

My embellishments from both kits:

It was hard to narrow down the embossing folders, as I have so many!! Here are the close ups of the ones I decided to use:

I am super excited to dig into my fun kit this month!! I hope you will join Lori and myself as we endeavor to bash some stash!  Remember if you play along make sure and use the hashtag #lisaandlorisgreatstashbash2021.  I can't wait to see your kit!  If you create a kit link up below to share with us all!!  Happy creating!!

Happy Friday!! Today I am sharing a fun card I created with the September Flavors of the Month Kit at The ScrapRoom & the September 5th card sketch at Sketch N Scrap!  Here is a picture of the mini kit from the larger Flavors of the Month kit I used on my card:

Here is the fun September 5th card sketch at Sketch N Scrap created by sketch artist Heather Hall:

Here is the card I created with the sketch and September Flavors of the Month kit:

I made this card in record time!! Sketch N Scrap #233

Happy Hump Day!  Today we have a new sketch up at Sketch N Scrap created by yours truly!  I hope you will find time this month to join in the fun!
 Here is my sketch:

Here is the layout I created with the sketch and the September Flavors of the month kit at The ScrapRoom:
Supplies Used: cardstock: black- from the kit; Patterned Paper: Simple Stories Vintage Lemon Twist- from the kit; stickers: Simple Stories Vintage Lemon Twist- from the kit; letter stickers: American Craft Thickers- from my stash.

I loved this kit!  It is so pretty and elegant! These papers went so well with these two pictures of my son and his girlfriend!  I love these stickers which give the appearance of layering and being 3D without the bulk!!

TN Time with Lisa & Lori ~ September Edition!

TGIF!! Are you planning some creative time this weekend?  I sure hope so!!!  It's time to kick off our next edition of TN Time with Lisa & Lori!!  So let's get this party started!

HERE IS HOW OUR CHALLENGE WORKS: This is a monthly challenge that launches on the 10th of each month  You will have until the 9th at midnight CST to link up your entries. If you complete my sketch challenge link your TN, bullet journal or planner spread below. If you combined my challenge with Lori's challenge link up your spread here on my blog AND on Lori's Blog (My Happy Life). For 2021 we are making this challenge a "just for fun" challenge with no prize, but isn't the real prize just documenting your memories and getting more pages done in 2021???!!!!
Now for my challenge!! Here is this month's sketch:

Now for Lori's challenge for September: (September 10th-October 9th):

What a fun challenge! I love doilies so that was a super easy item for me to add to my spread, but I will say Mint Green took a little digging as it is not a color I use all the time, but that makes the challenge all that more fun!! It's always fun to switch things up a bit and get out of your comfort zone!!
Here is my layout using the sketch and Lori's challenge:

Supplies Used: Patterned Paper: Simple Stories So Happy Together & We R Memory Keepers Honey I'm Home (woodgrain); cardstock: Pistachio Pudding- Stampin' Up; doily: Stampin' Up; ephemera and stickers: Simple Stories So Happy Together; stamp & dies: Chelsea Gardens - CTMH; Letter Stickers: Jillibean Soup; Quote: Jillibean Soup Farmhouse Stew; enamel hearts: Doodlebug Designs Shape Sprinkles & Pink Paislee Lucky Us; enamel flower/dots: Dear Lizzy She's Magic

As you can see I used A LOT of different things from my stash on this project!  In fact, I tried to limit myself to the things on my desk in an effort to use up some stash!  I have had a goal all year to stamp on in my TN and I FINALLY did it!!  I don't use my stamps as much as I should but I finally dusted off this long forgotten stamp/die set to use for my leaves!!  It felt good to stamp again!!
Now for a few close ups:

I love these small enamel hearts, something I can't get enough of!! I also love adding a tiny staple where I can, love that look too!!  Here you can see a snippet of the MINT GREEN patterned paper I added under my photo.

Here is a close up of the leaves! I used the leaves to add a bit more MINT GREEN to my spread, this color is actually called Pistachio Pudding but I think it is a pretty mint green!  I love the color combo of MINT GREEN, navy and pink!!
Now for the nitty gritty of how to play along:

September Flavors of the Month kit at The ScrapRoom

Happy Labor Day!! I hope your September is off to a good start!  Mine is!  I am really looking forward to Fall even though it is still in the high 90's here every day I am counting down the days til we have some cool crisp Fall air!!  Today I am sharing my first layout I created with the September Flavors of the Month kit at The ScrapRoom.
Here is the full kit:

Here is the Bella Blvd You Are My Sunshine mini kit I am using for today's layout:

My layout created with this adorable kit:
Supplies Used: Card stock: white- from the kit, black and pink: Stampin' Up - from my stash; Patterned Paper: Bella Blvd You are my Sunshine- from the kit; ephemera: Bella Blvd You are my Sunshine- from the kit; puffy stickers: Bella Blvd You are my Sunshine- from the kit; foam word: American Crafts Thickers- from my stash.

I loved this picture of my son and his girlfriend and knew it would be perfect for this cheery and happy kit!  There wasn't much color in the picture so the brightly colored papers make the picture just pop off the page!  I think these patterns are so happy don't you?  Make sure and hop on over to The ScrapRoom blog to see the other layouts the DT created with this amazing kit!  Happy creating!

September 1st sketch at Sketch N Scrap

TGIF!! Today I was lucky enough to get some free time this afternoon to play along with the September 1st sketch at Sketch N Scrap!  I really loved this sketch when I first saw it, as I really love the look of a big circle!!  Here is the sketch by sketch artist Heather Hall:

Here is my layout created with the sketch:
Supplies Used: Cardstock: white- Bazzill; Patterned Paper: Pink Fresh Studio Happy Blooms, Hip Kit Club Delightful & Crate Paper Oasis; ephemera: Hip Kit Club Delightful; Letter Stickers: Hip Kit Club Pretty Sweet; Chipboard word (adventure): Pink Paislee Horizons; enamel dots: Hip Kit Club Pretty Sweet.

I had so much fun with this layout! I loved that I was able to use up papers and embellishments from my September Great Stash Bash kit too!  The only paper I didn't use from the kit was the Crate Paper Oasis paper I used for the background.  But still a win in my book as I used up another piece of paper!! YAY!  I am working hard on using up my kit this month, but it is HARD to use up 10 papers!!  I have barely made a dent in my kit with this one layout but stay tuned, I will be working on making a few cards next!!  I hope you will join in the fun at Sketch N Scrap this month or why not join in the fun and play along with Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash challenge and make up a kit to create with?
Happy creating!!
