Happy weekend!  Today I am popping on to share a fun layout I created using this months "pop up" challenge in the Sketch N Scrap private Facebook group!  We are ramping up to celebrate NINE years of bringing you FREE sketches and inspiration at Sketch N Scrap in May so my good friend and Senior DT member Lori decided to have a "pop up" challenge this month to get the party started a bit early!!  She is challenging us to  create a layout based on Sketch N Scrap sketch #82 created by yours truly way back in 2015!!
 Here is the sketch:

Here is my layout created with the sketch:

Supplies Used: Patterned Paper: Crate Paper Garden Party & Cosmo Cricket (woodgrain); chipboard stickers: Hip Kit Club Bloom & Grow; Word stickers: Crate Paper Garden Party; puffy stickers: Crate Paper Garden Party; enamel dots: My Mind's Eye

I love the way this turned out!  This new line by Maggie Holmes for Crate Paper is just gorgeous and I thought was perfect for these pictures of my friend's granddaughters wearing matching outfits!  I hope you will join us over on Facebook!  You can play along with our pop up challenge now but you will definitely want to be a member of our group in May when we kick off our month long 9th birthday bash and NSD celebrations!  Hope to see you there!

Here is my layout created with this amazing sketch:

I absolutely love how this layout turned out!  This is my sweet friend and her husband, cat and granddaughter!  What an adorable picture it is, for sure it is scrapworthy!! I challenged myself to use only stuff on my scrap desk again for this project and I think it all meshed well!  The only thing that I dug out of my stash was the doilies!  The Simple Stories papers are from older ScrapRoom kits that I am trying to use up this month and the ephemera, chipboard and tags are from my April Great Stash Bash kit as well as the older ScrapRoom kits!  I am happy to say I am doing a lot better bashing some older stash this month!  Yay!  Make sure and head on over to the Sketch N Scrap blog to check out all the amazing layouts the DT created with this fun sketch!  I hope you will join in the fun, you have until the end of the month to do so!  Happy creating!

TN Time with Lisa & Lori ~ April Edition!

Yay!  It's the weekend!! Are you enjoying some creative time today? I sure hope so!  It's time to kick off our next edition of TN Time with Lisa & Lori!!  So let's get this party started!

HERE IS HOW OUR CHALLENGE WORKS: This is a monthly challenge that launches on the 10th of each month  You will have until the 9th at midnight CST to link up your entries. If you complete my sketch challenge link your TN, bullet journal or planner spread below. If you combined my challenge with Lori's challenge link up your spread here on my blog AND on Lori's Blog (My Happy Life). For 2021 we are making this challenge a "just for fun" challenge with no prize, but isn't the real prize just documenting your memories and getting more pages done in 2021???!!!!
Now for my challenge!! Here is this month's sketch:

Now for Lori's April challenge: (April 10th - May 9th):
What a fun challenge!!  I love pink so this color challenge is definitely and easy one for me!  I also love stamps, I just don't use them as much as I should, considering how many I own!!! So this challenge is perfect to get me to use some stamps I have neglected for to long!!
Here is my spread using both the sketch and Lori's challenge:
Supplies Used: Patterned Papers:  Pebbles Hey Hello, Hip Kit Pretty Sweet, Simple Stories Hello Today, Pink Fresh Studios Noteworthy & Pink Paislee Bloom Street; stickers: Echo Park (letters), Pebbles Hey Hello (bird), Simple Stories The Reset Girl (word strip); ephemera: PinkFresh Studios Sweet (Good Book tag & flower) & Simple & Simple Stories Posh (pencil); chipboard: Simple Stories Hello Today (books); stamp: Heidi Swapp; ink: Memento Black Tuxedo; tag: Source Unknown; journal box- source unknown.
Now for some close ups:
This picture represents the books I am endeavoring to read this month!! I am dreaming big aren't I?  I say "Go big or go home!" lol!  I followed the sketch closely here but replaced the top flower with this fun ephemera tag I have been hoarding!

I stamped the date in the lower right corner and I also stamped the word "NERD" under the journal box, I have to admit I have never used these letter stamps before and have lost the packaging so I don't even know who makes them!  I do like them, so I need to start using them more often!  I had fun creating a layered cluster of embellishments on the tag!  I think it turned out great! I did leave out the strip of paper under the embellishments because I just couldn't get it to look right for some reason!   My favorite part of this spread is that I mixed so many papers and embellishments from different lines and manufacturers and yet it seems to blend nicely!

Now for the nitty gritty of how to play along:

Pink Fresh Studios Keeping It Real ~April at The ScrapRoom!

Happy Hump Day!  Today I'm back with another layout I created with the April Flavors of the Month Kit at The ScrapRoom!  Here is reminder of the kit:

Here is the Pink Fresh Studios Keeping It Real line I used on today's layout:

Here is the layout I created with this amazing kit:

Supplies Used: Cardstock: white- from the kit; Patterned Paper: PinkFresh Studio Keeping it Real- from the kit; emphemera: Pink Fresh Studio Keeping it Real- from the kit; circle die: Stampin' Up stitched circle; black pen: Pentel; puffy stickers/word: Pink Fresh Studio Keeping it Real-from the kit; tag: Fancy Pants-from my stash.

I loved how this collection gave me so many opportunities for fussy cutting!  I cut out the tag at the top that says "Get lost in a good book".  I really loved that particular paper and all the fun tags, I cut most of them out to use later! I really felt like this picture of my friend's granddaughter reading a book was perfect for this line!!  Is there anything cuter then a little kid reading a book????? I don't think so!   Make sure and head on over to The ScrapRoom blog to check out all the other layouts the DT has created with this amazing kit!  Happy creating!

My son came over a few weekends ago to visit.  The weather so gorgeous we went for a walk around our neighborhood.  Then he treated me to a delicious dinner out at Boo Rays a local restaurant!  It was so nice to spend an evening together! He was gracious enough to also indulge me with a selfie taken at the park while we were walking!  Gosh, how lucky am I?  This kit just screamed Spring so I felt it was perfect to document this rare photo of myself and my son!  It seems once your kiddos are older those pictures are fewer and far between!  Make sure and head over to The ScrapRoom blog and check out the amazing layouts the DT has created with this fun kit!  Happy creating!

Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash 2021 ~ April Edition!

Happy April!!  It's a new month so that means another fun edition of Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash 2021 challenge!!

For those who are new to the challenge here is how it works:
On the 1st of each month we will post a challenge prompt and the stash kit we have created using that prompt. During the month we will try to use as much of our stash kits as possible on different projects. Then, on the last day of the month, we will do a recap post showing what stash we were able to bash!
This will be a just-for-fun challenge so there is no monthly prize - but isn't the real prize using up our stash? You never know - if we still have a few unused stash items after a few months, then those items may just go into a giveaway. We hope you will join us in our quest to bash some stash in 2021. If you accept the challenge to play along - link up on either my blog or Lori's Blog (or both if you choose) so that we can see who is joining us each month!

Now for our April challenge:

Here are the rules for 2021:
This month we will create a kit with 10 papers (dig into your stash for new or old papers it's up to  you!), 5-7 scrap papers (let's keep those scrap piles under control!), 3-4 embellishments (new or old- you decide), and some brads/eyelets!!!
1. Follow the challenge prompt to create a kit to work with throughout the month. You may use other items, but please concentrate on using your kit.
2. Create new, not previously posted projects using your stash kit.
3. If you have a blog - please include the challenge graphic and a link to our challenge in your posts.
4. You may link to social media if you don't have a blog. If you share on Instagram, please make sure to use - #lisaandlorisgreatstashbash2021
Since this is a just for fun challenge the rules are not set in stone BUT we have them to help you focus on what really matters using your stash!  We also hope you will help spread the word of our fun challenge so others may join in!!  You know you have at least one friend who needs to use her stash!!
This month I have created 2 mini kits with the prompt.  Here is my 1st mini kit using this month's prompts:

For this kit I put together some fun exclusive papers from the Hip Kit Dream Big collection.  The ephemera, wood veneer and chipboard embellishments are from the Dream Big Hip Kit collection and the puffy stickers are from the Pink Paislee Wild Child collection.  For this kit I picked some purple/yellow brads, silver brads and white flower eyelets!

Here is my second mini kit using this month's prompts:
For this kit I am using a mish mash of papers from various manufacturers and lines including: Pink Fresh Studio Noteworthy, Pink Fresh Studio Some Days and Pink Paislee Bloom Street. The embellishments are ephemera from Pink Fresh Studio Noteworthy, Thicker phrases from the Pink Paislee Bloom Street line, Alphabet stickers from Pink Fresh Studio Noteworthy line and a sticker book and butterflies from Pink Paislee's Bloom Street line.  For the stash bash item I have included some pink heart brads and some fuzzy pink and purple brads which I believe are from Making Memories!!

Now for my scraps:
These should go well with both mini kits.  These papers are from Simple Stories, American Crafts, CTMH and Echo Park.

Now for a closer look at my fun embellishments:
These lovely gems make my heart happy!!  I can't wait to play with them this month!  I am especially loving this kit because it includes different shades of purple which is one of my favorite colors!!
I am super excited to dig into my fun kit this month!! I hope you will join Lori and myself as we endeavor to bash some stash!  Remember if you play along make sure and use the #lisaandlorisgreatstashbash2021.  I can't wait to see your kit!  If you create a kit link up below to share with us all!!  Happy creating!!
