December 20th throwback card sketch challenge @ Sketch N Scrap

HappySunday!!  I hope you are ready for Christmas!!  The month is coming to a close and the  holiday is fast approaching and I was able to squeeze in one more challenge!!  Sketch N Scrap is having a throwback card challenge for the December 20th challenge and I thought I'd give it a go!

January 5th card sketch @ Sketch N Scrap!

Happy  Hump Day!! Today we launched the first card sketch of the new month and the New Year at Sketch N Scrap!!

I used only scraps from three past kits at The ScrapRoom to make this card and I love how it turned out!  This birdie is so adorable and I love the way these papers mixed together from a variety of manufacturers to create a beautiful card!  I made my own tag with the tag corner punch from Stampin' Up and then circle punches to make my own hole reinforcer out of black cardstock.  Make sure and hop on over to the Sketch N Scrap blog and check out what the other DT members did with the sketch!!  Happy creating!

TN Time with Lisa & Lori ~ November edition!

TGIF!!  This year is flying by! Can you believe it is already time for our November challenge? It doesn't see possible the holidays are upon us does it?!!  I'm excited to share this month's sketch and challenge with you, so without further adieu, let's get this party started!! 

HERE IS HOW OUR CHALLENGE WORKS: This is a monthly challenge that launches on the 10th of each month  You will have until the 9th at midnight CST to link up your entries. If you complete my sketch challenge link your TN, bullet journal or planner spread below. If you combined my challenge with Lori's challenge link up your spread here on my blog AND on Lori's Blog (My Happy Life). For 2021 we are making this challenge a "just for fun" challenge with no prize, but isn't the real prize just documenting your memories and getting more pages done in 2021???!!!!

What a fun challenge! Kraft is such a great neutral color don't you think?  I have so many cut apart/Project Life cards that I need to use, so I am so happy to participate in Lori's challenge this month!!!

I am still catching up on my 2020 TN, I still have 3 more spreads to do and then I will be finished!!  I love how I was able to combine so many manufacturers on this spread to give it the exact feel I was aiming for!!

I have been hoarding this Project Life card for a while now, so glad to put it to use!  I outlined the Project Life card to pop it off the page.  I used this Kraft patterned paper by Fancy Pants as a background on this page as I felt like the white was to stark, I am loving the result this paper really brings out my kraft accents and embellishments! 

Since I added journaling here on this page as called for on the sketch I decided to embellish my Project Life Card which had plenty of room for journaling. I added this adorable gingerbread man from October Afternoon to the corner of this page as it was to big as an accent for my picture and just didn't look right as far as proportions went next to the Gingerbread house!

What a fun time this was at the Retro Hip Mama Glamping Event put on by Crafty Destinations in February 2020!  Who knew that right after this we would be locked down for a full year!! Sure glad I was able to attend this super amazing event!! What an amazing kit this is!! I just loved the bright vibrant color scheme as well as the playful patterns! This card was a made from scraps that were lying on my desk and the Photo Play Fern & Willard sticker sheet I got in my ScrapRoom Double Shot kit this month!  I thought this cute frog was so adorable I knew I wanted to use it on this card!! It felt great to use up some scraps, still trying to keep my scrap bin under control on a regular basis to avoid it overflowing!! The fun thing about this card is that I used up a mish mash of scraps that I had in a drawer filed for Valentine's Day.  These are all older things and the papers are actually scraps that last year I almost tossed but decided to save.  I have never used these stickers because I never got any of the papers to go with them so I was excited to use them on this card and see they matched these scraps!  I am participating in a Valentine's Day card swap next month and decided to get a jump start on creating my cards!  I love the way this card turned out and I know I will be using it again real soon.
