Sketch N Scrap #213

TGIF!! There is a new sketch up at Sketch N Scrap by sketch artist Stacy and I am playing around with it today!  When I first saw the sketch I knew I had to play with it, it's so fun!!  Here is the amazing sketch:

Here is my layout using the sketch:
Supplies Used: Cardstock: Bazzill- White; Patterned Paper: Simple Stories Cozy Days, Carta Bella Fall Market & Carta Bella Hello Autumn; tag: unknown source, ephemera: Carta Bella Fall Market, stickers: Carta Bella Fall Market; gold leaves and word (sweet): American Craft Thickers.

I am trying to use up some older Fall kits from The ScrapRoom.  I was pleased to see that the newer kit from The ScrapRoom with papers from the Simple Stories Cozy Days line coordinated well with these older lines by Carta Bella!  This picture is of my nephew from 2 years ago!  I can't believe how much he has grown.  I love the pops of gold the word "Sweet" and the leaves bring to my layout, I love how it turned out!  I hope you will join us this month at Sketch N Scrap!  Make sure and hop on over to the Sketch N Scrap blog to see what the other DT members did with this fun sketch!  Happy creating!

November Jumpstart sketch at The ScrapRoom

Happy Hump Day!!  Today I am sharing another layout created with the November Flavors of the month kit at The ScrapRoom.  This layout is created with the amazing mini kit from Simple Stories Cozy Days, gosh I love this collection!!  Definitely up there in my top ten of all time!!  Here is the mini kit I used for today's layout:

Here is the November Jumpstart sketch I used to created today's layout:

Here is my layout using the kit & the sketch:

Supplies Used: Navy cardstock- from the kit; Patterned Paper: Simple Stories Cozy Days- from the kit; ephemera: Simple Stories Cozy Days-from the kit; letter stickers: American Crafts Thickers- from my stash; puffy stickers: Simple Stories Cozy Days: from the kit; doily- from my stash.

I love how this turned out!  I printed my pictures in black and white so they weren't competing with the colors of the papers and it looks great!  I used one larger photo in lieu of the two smaller ones in the sketch. I also used my black pen to outline some of the papers to make them pop more.  I added a doily in place of the leaves in the upper right corner as I thought it fit the look of my layout better.  I hope you will hop on over to The ScrapRoom blog to see what the other DT members did with this sketch and this kit, so much inspiration!  Happy creating!

TN Time with Lisa & Lori ~ November edition

Happy November!!  This month is flying by isn't it?  I hope you have been enjoying some lovely Fall weather where you are at!  Today it's time for the November edition of our TN Time with Lisa and Lori challenge!  So let's get the party started!!

HERE IS HOW OUR CHALLENGE WORKS: This is a monthly challenge that launches on the 10th of each month  You will have until the 9th at midnight CST to link up your entries. If you complete my sketch challenge link your TN, bullet journal or planner spread below. If you combined my challenge with Lori's challenge link up your spread here on my blog AND on Lori's Blog (My Happy Life).  You will then have a chance to win my prize as well as Lori's prize!  That's a chance to win TWO times with ONE layout! WOW!

Now for my challenge!! Here is this month's sketch:

Now for Lori's fun challenge: (November 10th through December 9th):
I know many of you are like me and have a lot of holiday pictures they need to document, so let's get in the holiday mood and document about the holidays ladies....Christmas, Thanksgiving or ANY holiday you would like to document about!!

Here is my spread using the sketch and Lori's challenge!  I chose to document about our trip to the ChristKindl Market in Arlington last year!  We had so much fun and had plans to return again in 2020...who would have imagined that everything would be canceled this year *sigh*....it sure makes you appreciate those special times even more!
Supplies Used: Patterned Papers: Hip Kit Club; letter stickers: American Craft Thickers (BRIGHT), PinkFresh Studios (SPIRITS) and Scenic Route (MAKING); chipboard stickers (house & sparkle & shine): Hip Kit Club; stickers (puffy snowflake & tree): Hip Kit Club; word stickers: Crate Paper

I am FINALLY using up this amazing kit by the Hip Kit Club that I bought back in 2018!!  I have been hoarding it far to long!  It is part of my November Great Stash Bash kit and I am going to be trying to create all my Christmas projects with this kit so I can use it up!!  It's so cute it's hard to make myself use it!
Here is a close up of the left page:

I love to use different fonts in my title and was excited that this sketch allowed a lot of room for a big title!  These black foam stickers with the arrows were a gift and I really loved them but hadn't found the right project for them until today!  I love how they represent the feel of the German Christmas market!!

Here is a close up of the right page:

I took a long time to pick out these papers but in the end I conveyed the feeling I was looking for in my spread!!  I am really trying to finish up my 2019 TN before 2021 which is why I chose to do a Christmas layout vs a Fall layout!  I have to do one more double page spread, my intro page and then my recap page and I will be done with this TN!  It is super fat and fluffy so it is getting harder to work in but I am determined to finish it before next year!  Wish me luck!  Now for the nitty gritty:

November 5th card at Sketch N Scrap!

Happy weekend!!  Have you had time to play along with the November 5th card sketch at Sketch N Scrap yet?  I created this sketch and have made a few cards with it so far!  Here is the sketch:

Here is one of the cards I created using this fun sketch:
Supplies Used: cardstock: Stampin' Up: kraft & whisper White; patterned paper: Carta Bella Fall Market & Echo Park My Favorite Fall; embossing folder: CTMH; stickers: Carta Bella Fall Market; black pen: Sharpie; stamp: Stampin' Up; ink: Tuxedo Black by Memento.

This card came together so fast using this sketch! I used two left over kits from The ScrapRoom from last September & October.  I am trying to "kill" at least one of my older kits each month to keep them from piling up.  Most of them are just scraps!! This month I hope to "kill" two kits!  So far I have been very successful and my drawer of old kits actually has room in it for more!  I was out of room in the drawer and all the other drawers are full so it was time to start using up some scraps!  Make sure and visit Sketch N Scrap's blog to see what the other DT members created with this sketch!  Happy creating!

This photo of my friend's granddaughter is perfect for a layout about playing outside!! I just knew I had to use it with this kit!! I hand cut my tags and used my tag corner punch to make the corners of my tags.  I made my own hole reinforcers using contrasting paper from the kit and my circle punches, I love what a nice touch this adds!! As you can see I had a blast layering all the fun ephemera pieces included in this kit!!  Make sure and head on over to The ScrapRoom blog to see what other fun layouts the DT created with this fun kit!!  Happy creating!

2020 Great Stash Bash Challenge ~ November edition!

Happy November!!  Today starts a new month which means we are launching a new edition of Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash 2020!  Christmas decorations are out in all the stores so it has us dreaming of the Most Wonderful Time of the Year so this month we are focusing on Christmas papers!!  So let's get this party started with our November edition of Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash 2020 challenge!!

For those who are new to the challenge here is how it works:
On the 1st of each month we will post a challenge prompt and the stash kit we have created using that prompt. During the month we will try to use as much of our stash kits as possible on different projects. Then, on the last day of the month, we will do a recap post showing what stash we were able to bash!
This will be a just-for-fun challenge so no monthly prize - but isn't the real prize using up our stash? You never know - if we still have a few unused stash items after a few months, then those items may just go into a giveaway. We hope you will join us in our quest to bash some stash in 2020. If you accept the challenge to play along - link up on either my blog or Lori's Blog (or both if you choose) so that we can see who is joining us each month!

Now for our November challenge:

Here are the rules:
This month we will create a kit with 10 papers (seven papers 3 years or older & three newer papers), 5-7 scrap papers, 4 embellishments (three that are 3 years or older & one newer one), and some embossing folders!!!

1. Follow the challenge prompt to create a kit to work with throughout the month. You may use other items, but please concentrate on using your kit.
2. Create new, not previously posted projects using your stash kit.
3. If you have a blog - please include the challenge graphic and a link to our challenge in your posts.
4. You may link to social media if you don't have a blog. If you share on Instagram, please make sure to use - #lisaandlorisgreatstashbash2020
Since this is a just for fun challenge the rules are not set in stone BUT we have them to help you focus on what really matters using your stash!  We also hope you will help spread the word of our fun challenge so others may join in!!  You know you have at least one friend who needs to use her stash!!
Here is my kit using the November prompts:

I'm so excited to use my embossing folders! I have so many so it will feel good to use them!! One of them I have never ever used!!  Yikes! I am hoping to scrap a bunch of older Christmas pictures as well as use this kit on my December Daily for this year!!

Here are a few close ups of my kit:
My older papers (I chose nine):
These papers are from the following lines:  Crate Paper FaLaLa; Pebbles Home for Christmas, Pink Fresh Studios Holiday Vibes, Hip Kit Club Make a Wish and Hip Kit Club Holiday Happenings.

My three newer papers:

These papers are from the new line by Crate Paper called Hey Santa!!  I got them in a swap and am excited to use them!

My scraps:
I had a hard time matching the reds and greens in this kit with scraps but I think these scraps will coordinate well.  I have no earthly idea what lines they are from as all the branding strips are missing!

My embellishments:
The new embellishment is from Crate Paper Hey Santa that I got in a swap.  The older embellishments are from Hip Kit Club Make a Wish and American Craft Thickers Cozy.  The other 2 sticker sheets I can't remember the line they are from the one of the far right is from Pebbles but I am not sure of the other one as it is missing the branding strip.  I love all these stickers, so cute don't you think??!!

My embossing folders:
The embossing folders were so hard to photograph, but one is snowflakes which I haven't used in a long time and forgot I even had!!!  The one on the bottom right I have never even used!  I hope to at least use them all once on some Christmas cards!!

I am super excited to dig into my fun kit this month!! I hope you will join me and Lori as we endeavor to bash some stash this month!  Remember if you play along make sure and use the #lisaandlorisgreatstashbash2020.  I can't wait to see your kit!  Happy creating!!
