TN Time with Lisa & Lori 2022!!

Happy Monday!! Can you believe it is 2022 already?  It doesn't seem possible that a new year is upon us. I'm excited that Lori & I will continuing this fun challenge into the new year!  We have some fun sketches & challenges planned for you in 2022 & we hope you will be able to join in the fun in 2022! So without further adieu, let's get this party started!!

HERE IS HOW OUR CHALLENGE WORKS:
This is a monthly challenge that launches on the 10th of each month  You will have until the 9th at midnight CST to link up your entries. If you complete my sketch challenge link your TN, bullet journal or planner spread below. If you combined my challenge with Lori's challenge link up your spread here on my blog AND on Lori's Blog (My Happy Life). This is a "just for fun" challenge with no prize, but isn't the real prize just documenting your memories and getting more pages done in 2022???!!!!
Now for my challenge!! Here is this month's sketch:

Now for Lori's January challenge: (January 10 - February 9th):

This challenge was super easy for me!! One of my favorite embellishments is enamel dots & shapes! I especially love heart enamel dots as you will see on my spread for this month!
Here is my spread using the sketch & Lori's challenge:
Supplies Used: Patterned Paper: Echo Park Have Faith; Stickers: Echo Park Have Faith; letter stickers: Elle's Studio (restore) and Pink Fresh Studios Some Days; enamel dots: Dear Lizzy She's Magic & Echo Park Animal Kingdom; journal spot: unknown source

It's so fun to start a new traveler's notebook don't you agree???  This is the first spread in my 2022 TN and I love it!  Each year I open my TN for the year with a spread about my one word for the year!  This year my word is RESTORE.  I plan to keep a separate journal (most likely a TN) to document all my notes and journal about my thoughts on my one word for the year, so stay tuned, I hope to share some of this soon!!

Now for some close ups:

As you can see I used the branding strip from one of the papers at the end of my journaling!  Some of the branding strips are so pretty!!  I was also able to use up a journaling spot that I have had on my desk literally for years, so glad I found the perfect place for it!!  The floral strip is actually a sticker from my January Great Stash Bash kit (you can learn more about this challenge HERE).

I love how enamel dots dress up your pages and stickers without adding a lot of bulk!! They are the perfect accent for your pages!  My other go to addition to most of my pages is to outline my papers with a black sharpie!  This makes the papers pop off the page!!

                        RULES FOR THE CHALLENGE:

January 5th card sketch @ Sketch N Scrap!

Happy  Hump Day!! Today we launched the first card sketch of the new month and the New Year at Sketch N Scrap!!
Here is the sketch created by yours truly:

Here is the card I created with the sketch:
Supplies Used: Card stock: Stampin' Up: Whisper White & Basic Black; Patterned Paper: Echo Park Cupid & Co, Simple Stories Kissing Booth and Photo Play Paper Love Letters; stickers; Photo Play Paper Love Letters; black pen: Sharpie; punches: Stampin' Up: tag and circle punches.

I used only scraps from three past kits at The ScrapRoom to make this card and I love how it turned out!  This birdie is so adorable and I love the way these papers mixed together from a variety of manufacturers to create a beautiful card!  I made my own tag with the tag corner punch from Stampin' Up and then circle punches to make my own hole reinforcer out of black cardstock.  Make sure and hop on over to the Sketch N Scrap blog and check out what the other DT members did with the sketch!!  Happy creating!

The Great Stash Bash Adventure 2022 ~the saga continues!!

Happy New Year!  It's a new year and we are kicking off a new saga of The Great Stash Bash Adventure with Lisa & Lori!!  I started out 2021 with a bang bashing my stash but mid-year I fell into a slump 😕 and I ended the year falling flat on my face in regards to using my stash!!  So I am determined that 2022 will be a better year in regards to using my stash....and let's face it, I can't do much worse 😂 so without further adieu it's time for another edition of The Great Stash Bash with Lisa & Lori!  Let's get this party started with the January edition of Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash 2022!!

For those who are new to the challenge here is how it works:
On the 1st of each month we will post a challenge prompt and the stash kit we have created using that prompt. During the month we will try to use as much of our stash kits as possible on different projects. Then, on the last day of the month, we will do a recap post showing what stash we were able to bash!
This will be a just-for-fun challenge so there is no monthly prize - but isn't the real prize using up our stash?  We hope you will join us in our quest to bash some stash in 2022. If you accept the challenge to play along - link up on either my blog or Lori's Blog (or both if you choose) so that we can see who is joining us each month!

Now for our January challenge:

Here are the rules for 2022:
Each month we will create a kit with 10 or more papers (dig into your stash for new or old papers it's up to  you!), 5-7 scrap papers (let's keep those scrap piles under control!), 3-4 embellishments (new or old- you decide), and a stash bash item!  This month's stash bash item is ALPHAS!!!
1. Follow the challenge prompt to create a kit to work with throughout the month. You may use other items, but try to concentrate on using your kit.
2. Create new, not previously posted projects using your stash kit.
3. If you have a blog - please include the challenge graphic & a link to our challenge in your posts.
4. You may link to social media if you don't have a blog. If you share on Instagram, please make sure to use - #lisaandlorisgreatstashbash2022
Since this is a just for fun challenge the rules are not set in stone BUT we have them to help you focus on what really matters using your stash!  We also hope you will help spread the word of our fun challenge so others may join in!!  You know you have at least one friend who needs to use her stash!!

This month I decided on two mini kits instead of one larger kit!  It was SOOO hard to narrow down my papers to just 10 but I wanted to have a better chance of using up my kit this month so I kept it to 11 papers this month!!
My kits for January:
Here is my first mini kit this month:
This kit features papers & embellishments from Carta Bella Gather at Home, Carta Bella Welcome Winter & Echo Park Have Faith (green).  I am hoping to scrap some pictures from last years once in a lifetime snow storm with this kit!

A close up of the papers, I love the snowflakes and the beautiful floral paper with the pops of pink and green!!

A close up of my embellishments. These are from the Snow Much Fun (chipboard & cut apart cards), Hip Kit Keeping Cozy (words), and Carta Bella Winter Market (ephemera) and Welcome Winter (puffy stickers).

These 12 x 12 alpha sheets are super old and are from Echo Park Hello Winter & Winter Park. I am hoping to use these up this month!!  Wish me luck!!

My second kit:
This kit features papers some fun papers and embellishments I plan to use in my Faith & Gratitude Journal for January and some of my snow pictures as well as a layout documenting my One Word for the year!

This kit features papers from the Echo Park Have Faith and Forward with Faith collections.

A close up of the embellishments from Echo Park Have Faith collection (12 x 12 stickers) and the HIp Kit Keeping Cozy collection (envelopes, and ephemera).

These alphas are from American Crafts, The Paper Studio, The Hip Kit Club Keeping Cozy & Flourish collections!

I am super excited to dig into my fun kit this month!! I hope you will join Lori and myself as we endeavor to bash some stash!  Remember if you play along make sure and use the hashtag #lisaandlorisgreatstashbash2022.  I can't wait to see your kit!  If you create a kit link up below to share with us all!!  Happy creating!!
