Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash Adventure~ December edition!

Happy December! The holidays are upon us, do you have any special projects planned?  I am going to be doing a December daily this year but as is my usual status, I am a day late and a dollar short!  I still haven't started it and it's December 1st!  Yikes! I do plan to work on it this weekend though, this past week has just been a whirlwind and did not go as planned! Since it's a new month that means it's time to launch another fun edition of Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash Adventure! So without further adieu let's kick off the December 2023 edition of Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash 2023!!

How our 2023 challenge works:
On the 1st of each month we will post a challenge prompt and the stash kit we have created using that prompt. During the month we will try to use as much of our stash kits as possible on different projects. This challenge is a just-for-fun challenge so there is no monthly prize - but isn't the real prize using up our stash?  We hope you will join us in our quest to bash some stash in 2023. If you accept the challenge to play along - link up on either my blog or Lori's Blog (or both if you choose) so that we can see who is joining us each month!

Now for our "recipe" for December:

This will be a fun challenge to use envelopes and file folders on my projects this month, I am ready and feeling up to this challenge!!

New in 2023: We will be placing 10 things in our "bashket" each month. This "bashket" is progressive meaning at the end of the month we will keep what is in our basket moving into the next month. Our goal is to use up 10 things or 120 ITEMS from our stash by the end of the year!
Here is an explanation of how the "bashket" will work:

Now for my December kits:
This month I decided instead of picking new kits I pick 2 of the previous kits I didn't have time to touch.  So for this month I am re-making my kits from August and October of this year in an effort to use them up completely!!

KIT #1:
These papers and embellishments were all from my August Great Stash Bash Kit that did not get used up.  Everything is from the Simple Stories Little Things collection!  I plan to use this kit to make a gratitude journal for 2024.

For this kit I chose papers and embellishments from the Simple Stories Harvest Market collection.  I recently received these things in a warehouse box I ordered from Simple Stories.  I plan on making a gratitude journal using these things.  Someone gave me this half sized composition book that I hope to use for the journal.  I wanted to make more for gifts but this notebook is now sold out at Walmart!  I'm always late to the party lol!

Now for my favorite sides of the papers:
I'm hoping to make some layouts as well with this kit!

B sides of the papers:

My second kit for November:
This kit features papers and embellishments from the Simple Stories Vintage Blessings collection. This is all I have left of this collection from a number of years ago, so I am hoping to use it up.  My plan is to create some more gratitude journals to gift, IF I can find more mini composition books, so stay tuned on that!

Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash 2023 ~ August edition!

Happy August!  Summer is winding down, not the heat part but the kids will be back in school in 2 weeks here in Texas!!  I don't know about you but I'm ready for Fall!  I love starting a new month because that means it's time to launch another fun edition of Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash Adventure! So without further adieu let's kick off the August 2023 edition of Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash 2023!!

How our 2023 challenge works:

Now for our "recipe" for August!

Now for my August kit!  This month I chose to do one large kit!
Here is my entire kit:
I have decided to go with papers and embellishments using the Simple Stories The Little Things collection. I love the beautiful colors in this line and even though I just purchased is recently, I think I need to use it now instead of hoarding it!

Close up of the "A" sides of the papers:
So many pretty florals to pick from!

Close up of "B" sides of the papers:
I love all the cut apart elements and have plans to use a lot of them in my 6 x 8 album I hope to create with this kit!

My embellishments:
I may have went heavy on the embellishments but I will have plenty of choices for titles and accents! I love how Simple Stories includes a tag cut apart sheet in all their collections!

My stash bash item: ALPHAS:
Most of my alphas are neutral colors as I find if I purchase a specific color like pink it never matches the pink paper I plan to use it with!  So my colors of alphas may appear a bit drab and boring!

Now for my bashket items:
For my bashket items this month I pulled some things that I have sitting in a bin that are random, I don't know where I got them or what line they are from but I do know I have had them for a long while and need to use them up!
HERE IS MY LIST:
1) Sticker sheet from Pink Paislee 5th & Monaco collection
 2) Doodlebug Designs sticker sheet- unknown collection
3) cut apart paper with labels, I plan to fussy cut these and use them!
 4) Guest Check
5) cat ephemera- unknown source.  I plan to use on some birthday cards!
 6) Doodlebug Designs heart sprinkles
  7) plant ephemera piece- unknown source
 8) Pebbles ephemera quote piece
  9) letter board ephemera piece from PhotoPlay Paper
10) Pebbles ephemera piece (purse)- unknown collection.

Here are the rules for 2023:
Each month we will create a kit with 10 or more papers (dig into your stash for new or old papers it's up to  you!), 5-7 scrap papers (let's keep those scrap piles under control!), 3-4 embellishments (new or old- you decide), and a stash bash item!  This month's stash bash item is ALPHAS!!
