Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash 2023 ~ September edition!

Happy September!  Is Fall in the air where you are?  The temperatures are still in the triple digits here in Texas so we are anxiously awaiting that first breath of cool crisp Fall air!  What a welcome relief that will be after this hot Summer!!  I don't know about you but I'm ready for Fall!  I love starting a new month because that means it's time to launch another fun edition of Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash Adventure! So without further adieu let's kick off the September 2023 edition of Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash 2023!!

How our 2023 challenge works:
On the 1st of each month we will post a challenge prompt and the stash kit we have created using that prompt. During the month we will try to use as much of our stash kits as possible on different projects. New in 2023: We will be placing 10 things in our "bashket" each month.  This "bashket" is progressive meaning at the end of the month we will keep what is in our basket moving into the next month.  Our goal is to use up 10 things or 120 ITEMS from our stash by the end of the year!
Here is an explanation of how the "bashket" will work:

This challenge is a just-for-fun challenge so there is no monthly prize - but isn't the real prize using up our stash?  We hope you will join us in our quest to bash some stash in 2023. If you accept the challenge to play along - link up on either my blog or Lori's Blog (or both if you choose) so that we can see who is joining us each month!

Now for our "recipe" for September !

Now for my September kits!  This month I chose to do two smaller kits!
Here is my first kit:
This kit features papers by Simple Stories My Story with one paper from Echo Park So Happy Together line (brown woodgrain) thrown in.  The embellishments are from Bo Bunny Beautiful Things, foam stickers and a few ephemera pieces from Simple Stories My Story and the wood buttons are from the Hip Kit Club line Delightful.

Now for the "B" sides of the papers:

My second kit:
This kit features papers from the CTMH Every Little Thing collection.  The scraps are also from CTMH the Mix In collection and the Every Little Thing collection.  The 12 x 12 sticker sheet is from CTMH Every Little Thing collection and the puffy stickers are from PinkFresh Studios Indigo Hills 2 collection.

Now for the "B" sides of these papers:

My stash bash items: 6 x 6 paper pads:
As you can see I also have some 6 x 8 paper pads, it seems some companies are trending towards this size now, so feel free to add either to your kit this month.  I have included Christmas pads so that I can work on some Christmas cards this month, it's never to early to get started!! My pads are from Doodlebug Designs Here Comes Santa Claus, Pebbles Cozy & Bright, Simple Stores We Are Family, Stampin' Up (random papers I got at a garage sale), Simple Stories Faith & Bo Bunny Beautiful Things.

My "Bashket" items:
For my bashket items this month I pulled some things to work on Christmas cards and some random ephemera pieces I had sitting in a bin, I don't know where I got them or what line they are from but I do know I have had them for a long while and need to use them up!
HERE IS MY LIST:
1) Pebbles Cozy & Bright collection sticker sheet
 2) Pebbles Cozy & Bright sticker sheet
3) My Mind's Eye Comfort & Joy sticker sheet
 4) Ephemera from Doodlebug Designs Here Comes Santa Claus line
5) die cut circle- unknown source.
 6) cupcake ephemera piece- unknown source
  7) quote ephemera piece- unknown source
 8)  Journal card - unknow source
  9) letter board ephemera piece from Jillibean Soup
10) girl ephemera piece- unknown source

Here are the rules for 2023:
Each month we will create a kit with 10 or more papers (dig into your stash for new or old papers it's up to  you!), 5-7 scrap papers (let's keep those scrap piles under control!), 3-4 embellishments (new or old- you decide), and a stash bash item!  This month's stash bash item is 6x6 or 6x8 paper pads!!
1. Follow the challenge prompt to create a kit to work with throughout the month. You may use other items, but try to concentrate on using your kit.
2. Create new, not previously posted projects using your stash kit.
3. If you have a blog - please include the challenge graphic & a link to our challenge in your posts.
4. You may link to social media if you don't have a blog. If you share on Instagram, please make sure to use - #lisaandlorisgreatstashbash2023
Since this is a just for fun challenge the rules are not set in stone BUT we have them to help you focus on what really matters using your stash!  We also hope you will help spread the word of our fun challenge so others may join in!!  You know you have at least one friend who needs to use her stash!!

I am super excited to dig into my fun kit this month!! I hope you will join Lori and myself as we endeavor to bash some stash!  Remember if you play along make sure and use the hashtag #lisaandlorisgreatstashbash2023.  I can't wait to see your kit!  If you create a kit link up below to share with us all!!  Happy creating!!

  1. I love both of your mini-kits and I look forward to seeing what you create! I should have put a Christmas paper pad on my kit, too. I need to get started on my Christmas cards soon!
