July 1st sketch @ Sketch N Scrap!

Good morning!  Today I am sharing a layout I created with the July 1st sketch at Sketch N Scrap!  Here is the July 1st sketch created by the talented Stacy:

Here is the layout I created with this fun sketch:
Supplies Used: Cardstock: White- Bazzill; Patterned Paper: My Mind's Eye Peachy Keen, Carta Bella Summer Market, Jen Hadfield My Bright Life, & Hip Kit Club Delightful; Stickers: Pink Fresh Studios Joyful Day; Letter Stickers: Hip Kit Club Pretty Sweet; Ephemera: Pink Fresh Studios Joyful Day; enamel dots: My Mind's Eye; wood veneer flower: Hip Kit Club Summer Bliss.

I loved this sketch and am hoping to use it again real soon!  I used my July Great Stash Bash kit for this layout and was happy with how many different papers and embellishments I was able to use on this layout! These adorable sisters are my friend's granddaughters and I thought their cute dresses were perfect for these papers and my July Great Stash Bash kit!  Even though I used a number of my papers on this layout I am looking at my kit realizing that I didn't make too much of a dent in my kit lol!  I guess I better get to work as the month is almost half over!!  You can learn more about my July Stash Bash kit HERE.  Make sure and visit the Sketch N Scrap blog to see the amazing layouts the other DT members created with this fun sketch!  Happy creating!!

Happy weekend!  Today I am popping on to share a fun layout I created using this months "pop up" challenge in the Sketch N Scrap private Facebook group!  We are ramping up to celebrate NINE years of bringing you FREE sketches and inspiration at Sketch N Scrap in May so my good friend and Senior DT member Lori decided to have a "pop up" challenge this month to get the party started a bit early!!  She is challenging us to  create a layout based on Sketch N Scrap sketch #82 created by yours truly way back in 2015!!
 Here is the sketch:

Here is my layout created with the sketch:

Supplies Used: Patterned Paper: Crate Paper Garden Party & Cosmo Cricket (woodgrain); chipboard stickers: Hip Kit Club Bloom & Grow; Word stickers: Crate Paper Garden Party; puffy stickers: Crate Paper Garden Party; enamel dots: My Mind's Eye

I love the way this turned out!  This new line by Maggie Holmes for Crate Paper is just gorgeous and I thought was perfect for these pictures of my friend's granddaughters wearing matching outfits!  I hope you will join us over on Facebook!  You can play along with our pop up challenge now but you will definitely want to be a member of our group in May when we kick off our month long 9th birthday bash and NSD celebrations!  Hope to see you there!

Sketch N Scrap #216

Happy Monday!!  Today I am excited to share a layout I created using the January 1st sketch at Sketch N Scrap!!  This sketch is super fun and was created by sketch artist Stacy, here is the sketch:

Here is my layout based on the sketch:
Supplies Used:  Cardstock: Bazzill Black; Background paper: grid-Scenic Route; Patterned Paper: Hip Kit Club Keeping Cozy & Crate Paper Snowflake; ephemera: Hip Kit Club So Frost & Keeping Cozy; clear stickers: Hip Kit Club: Keeping Cozy; enamel dots: American Crafts; numbers: American Crafts, chipboard: Hip Kit Club Keeping Cozy

This sketch was a bit intimidating for me as it is not my "normal" style, however, it is always fun to challenge yourself and do things out of your comfort zone so I definitely had a lot of fun using this sketch!!  New Year's Eve I celebrated alone so I didn't have any pictures but I was able to use these pictures of my sister and niece as they celebrated together!!  This is also my first layout using my Great Stash Bash kit for 2021!  I didn't use a lot of patterned paper but at least I dug into the kit this month!! To learn more about the Great Stash Bash challenge I am doing with my friend Lori go HERE.  Make sure and head on over to the Sketch N Scrap blog to check out all the amazing layouts the DT has created with this sketch!  Happy creating!!

TN Time with Lisa & Lori ~ November edition

Happy November!!  This month is flying by isn't it?  I hope you have been enjoying some lovely Fall weather where you are at!  Today it's time for the November edition of our TN Time with Lisa and Lori challenge!  So let's get the party started!!

HERE IS HOW OUR CHALLENGE WORKS: This is a monthly challenge that launches on the 10th of each month  You will have until the 9th at midnight CST to link up your entries. If you complete my sketch challenge link your TN, bullet journal or planner spread below. If you combined my challenge with Lori's challenge link up your spread here on my blog AND on Lori's Blog (My Happy Life).  You will then have a chance to win my prize as well as Lori's prize!  That's a chance to win TWO times with ONE layout! WOW!

Now for my challenge!! Here is this month's sketch:

Now for Lori's fun challenge: (November 10th through December 9th):
I know many of you are like me and have a lot of holiday pictures they need to document, so let's get in the holiday mood and document about the holidays ladies....Christmas, Thanksgiving or ANY holiday you would like to document about!!

Here is my spread using the sketch and Lori's challenge!  I chose to document about our trip to the ChristKindl Market in Arlington last year!  We had so much fun and had plans to return again in 2020...who would have imagined that everything would be canceled this year *sigh*....it sure makes you appreciate those special times even more!
Supplies Used: Patterned Papers: Hip Kit Club; letter stickers: American Craft Thickers (BRIGHT), PinkFresh Studios (SPIRITS) and Scenic Route (MAKING); chipboard stickers (house & sparkle & shine): Hip Kit Club; stickers (puffy snowflake & tree): Hip Kit Club; word stickers: Crate Paper

I am FINALLY using up this amazing kit by the Hip Kit Club that I bought back in 2018!!  I have been hoarding it far to long!  It is part of my November Great Stash Bash kit and I am going to be trying to create all my Christmas projects with this kit so I can use it up!!  It's so cute it's hard to make myself use it!
Here is a close up of the left page:

I love to use different fonts in my title and was excited that this sketch allowed a lot of room for a big title!  These black foam stickers with the arrows were a gift and I really loved them but hadn't found the right project for them until today!  I love how they represent the feel of the German Christmas market!!

Here is a close up of the right page:

I took a long time to pick out these papers but in the end I conveyed the feeling I was looking for in my spread!!  I am really trying to finish up my 2019 TN before 2021 which is why I chose to do a Christmas layout vs a Fall layout!  I have to do one more double page spread, my intro page and then my recap page and I will be done with this TN!  It is super fat and fluffy so it is getting harder to work in but I am determined to finish it before next year!  Wish me luck!  Now for the nitty gritty:

Game Show Challenge fun at Cookin' Up Creations!!

Good morning friends!  Happy Monday!  Today it's my turn to host the last challenge for August at Cookin' Up Creations!  August is Game Show Month at Cookin' Up Creations and all the challenges are based on classic game shows! Today's challenge based on the game show Family Feud!  Family Feud is such an iconic game show and has run for a total of 2,311 episodes so far!  WOW!  Today my challenge is to create a layout about a family tradition using this fun Becky Fleck sketch:

Here is my layout based on the sketch and the Family Feud Challenge:
Supplies Used: Patterned Paper: Hip Kit Club & Pink Fresh Studios; cardstock: Bo Bunny Swiss Dot White; punch: Stampin' Up notebook edger; frame & doily: Unknown source; chipboard: Made with Love- Scenic Route; stars: Pink Paislee; stickers: gingerbread lady- Doodlebug Designs & Mouse- Hip Kit Club; ephemera: holly swag- Hip Kit Club

My niece and I love to have host a fun dinner on Christmas Eve after our church service.  Every year she plans a fun snack to "create".  This picture is from 2017 and that year she created a fun Christmas tree using grapes, strawberries, a celery stick and a star cut out with a star cookie cutter from a piece of cheese!!  Each year we have so much fun planning what she will do.  Last year it was a hot cocoa bar and she made snowmen out of marshmallows and candy canes for us to dunk in our hot cocoa!!  We have so much fun planning and looking on Pinterest for ideas!  This is a fun tradition we started back in 2015 and I hope we will carry through for years to come!!  Make sure and head on over to the forum at Cookin' Up Creations to join in the fun, we would love to see your favorite family traditions!

Sketch N Scrap #184

Happy Monday!  It's a new week and that brings us a new round of fun challenges in the collaboration between Sketch N Scrap & Cookin' Up Creations!  Today it's my turn to offer up the challenge for the online 8th Birthday Bash crop at Sketch N Scrap! Here is the sketch we will be using for today's challenge:

Here is my layout based on Sketch #184:
Supplies Used: Cardstock: Stampin' Up- Pale Plum & Blackberry Bliss; Patterned Paper: My Mind's Eye (background), Pink Paislee Truly Grateful by Paige Taylor Evans; chipboard: (fox & flowers) Cozy Up by the Hip Kit Club; ephemera: Pink Paislee Horizon (tag), Pretty Little Studio Indian Summer (wreath) & Pink Paislee Truly Grateful (Hello); epoxy word/shapes: American Crafts Thickers Truly Grateful.
I dug into some Fall goodness for this layout!  I have been hoarding some of the Paige Taylor Evans Truly Grateful things as they are so pretty!! However, I know if I keep hoarding stuff it will leave no room for new stuff so I'm committed to start using it!! I loved how this newer line went so well with this older piece of paper from My Mind's Eye!  This color scheme is just delightful don't you think?  I really do love Fall colors the best!!  I hope you will join us in our online crop at Sketch N Scrap or in the Mad About Sketches challenges at Cookin' Up Creations!  Have a blessed and creative day!
