Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash 2025 ~ October edition

Happy October! It still feels like Summer here in Texas with temperatures in the 90's during the daytime but the nights are definitely getting cooler meaning Fall is not too far off!!  Since it's a new month it's time to launch another fun edition of Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash Adventure! I love the beginning of each month because it's a chance to start anew!! So without further adieu let's kick off the October 2025 edition of Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash 2025!!

Here is how our 2025 challenge works:
On the 1st of each month we will post a challenge prompt and the stash kit we have created using that prompt. During the month we will try to use as much of our stash kit as possible on different projects. Then, somewhere along the way we will do a recap post showing what stash we were able to bash!
This will be a just-for-fun challenge so there is no monthly prize - but isn't the real prize using up our stash?  We hope you will join us in our quest to bash some stash in 2025. If you accept the challenge to play along - link up on either my blog or Lori's Blog My Happy Life (or both if you choose) so that we can see who is joining us each month!

Now for our Stash Bash kit recipe for this month:

Here is my kit for October:
I decided to pick a Fall themed kit as I am dreaming of cooler temperatures!  I am hoping to make a gratitude notebook as well as a small scrapbook of my upcoming trip to the Midwest to visit my brother and his family!  I think these colors are so fun and will fit a wide range of pictures from indoors to outdoors!

The "A" sides of my papers:
These papers are almost all from the Simple Stories Harvest Market collection, except for the green dot paper which is from Bella Blvd's One Fall Day collection.

The "B" sides of my papers:

My embellishments:
The embellishments for this kit are super fun and are all from the Simple Stories Harvest Market collection. There is a cut apart paper, tag paper, sticker book, 12 x 12 sticker sheet and a 6x8 paper pad (since I am doing a smaller album!)

My scraps:
Some of these scraps are from the Simple Stories Harvest Market collection the rest are from different manufacturers including the whie notebook and grid papers which are from Scenic Route, what a blast from the past!!

My stash bash item: EPHEMERA:

Here are the rules for 2025:
Each month we will create a kit with 10 or more papers (dig into your stash for new or old papers it's up to  you!), 5-7 scrap papers (let's keep those scrap piles under control!), 3-4 embellishments (new or old- you decide), and a stash bash item!
This month's stash bash item is: Ephemera
1. Follow the challenge prompt to create a kit to work with throughout the month. You may use other items, but try to concentrate on using your kit.
2. Create new, not previously posted projects using your stash kit.
3. If you have a blog - please include the challenge graphic & a link to our challenge in your posts.
4. You may link to social media if you don't have a blog. If you share on Instagram, please make sure to use - #lisaandlorisgreatstashbash2025
Since this is a just for fun challenge the rules are not set in stone BUT we have them to help you focus on what really matters using your stash!  We also hope you will help spread the word of our fun challenge so others may join in!!  You know you have at least one friend who needs to use her stash!!

I am super excited to dig into my fun kit this month!! I hope you will join myself and Lori as we endeavor to bash some stash!  Remember if you play along make sure and use the hashtag #lisaandlorisgreatstashbash2025.  I can't wait to see your kit!  If you create a kit link up below to share with us all!!  Happy creating!!

Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash Adventure ~ September edition

Happy September!  As you may have noticed we decided to take some time off this Summer from our Stash Bash Challenge, but as the Summer comes to an end, we are back with another fun challenge!  It still feels like Summer here in Texas and I'm definitely ready for Fall!  Since it's a new month it's time to launch another fun edition of Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash Adventure! I love the beginning of each month because it's a chance to start anew!! Now for our Stash Bash kit recipe for this month:

Here is my kit for September:
I am using papers and embellishments from the Simple Stories Front Porch collection this month.  I got this kit at the Scrapbook Expo last year and it's time to use it up!

A close  up of the "A" sides of the papers:
I am hoping to make some fun layouts using some family photos from some get togethers our family has had in the past year! I think these colors will work for any season!

A close up of the "B" sides of the papers:
There are some fun cut apart cards included on the "B" sides of some of the papers!

My embellishments & stash bash item (tags):
My embellishments are from the Simple Stories Front Porch collection and include this fun cut apart card page, 12 x 12 sticker sheet and the Journaling Bits & Pieces.  I am using some tags from various sources I had in my stash as well as a sheet of tags from the Simple Stories Front Porch collection.

My scraps:
I had a hard time matching the pinks, reds and greens in my papers to my scraps so I decided to go with the more neutral tones, primarily some left over wood tone scraps from various sources. I don't know about you but my scrap piles are overflowing, I think purging my scraps is long overdue!  Maybe something I can work on this long holiday weekend!
