June edition of Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash 2020!

Happy June!!  Are you ready for Summer? It certainly feels like Summer already here in Texas!  Today is a new month so that means it's time to launch Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash 2020 kit for June!
For those who are new to the challenge here is how it works:
On the 1st of each month we will post a challenge prompt and the stash kit we have created following that prompt. During the month we will try to use as much of our stash kits as possible on different projects. Then, on the last day of the month, we will do a recap post showing what stash we were able to bash!
This will be a just-for-fun challenge so no monthly prize - but isn't the real prize using up our stash? You never know - if we still have a few unused stash items after a few months, then those items may just go into a giveaway. We hope you will join us in our quest to bash some stash in 2020. If you accept the challenge to play along - link up on either my blog or Lori's blog (or both if you choose) so that we can see who is joining us each month!
Now for our June challenge:
Here are the rules:
This month we will create a kit with 10 papers (seven papers 3 years or older & three newer papers), 5-7 scrap papers, 4 embellishments (three that are 3 years or older & one newer one), and some Thickers/alphabets!!
1. Follow the challenge prompt to create a kit to work with throughout the month. You may use other items, but please concentrate on using your kit.
2. Create new, not previously posted projects using your stash kit.
3. If you have a blog - please include the challenge graphic and a link to our challenge in your posts.
4. You may link to social media if you don't have a blog. If you share on Instagram, please make sure to use - #lisaandlorisgreatstashbash2020
Since this is a just for fun challenge the rules are not set in stone BUT we have them to help you focus on what really matters using your stash!  We also hope you will help spread the word of our fun challenge so others may join in!!  You know you have at least one friend who needs to use her stash!!
This month we are changing things up just a bit!  For June Lori & I exchanged kits! We always love each other's kits so much we decided to make a kit for each other!
So here is the kit Lori created for me using the June prompts:

Here are the 8 older papers:
This is a great selection of papers from Echo Park A Beautiful Life, Shimelle's Little by Little, Dear Lizzy A Slicef fe Life as well as Carta Bella Hello Again, Echo Park Summer Dream & HomeGrown!

Here are the newer papers Lori sent me:
All these beautiful papers are from Simple Stories Oh Happy Day!

Here are the scrap papers:
These papers are from October Afternoon, Echo Park, Stampin' Up, My Mind's Eye & Crate Paper! What a great representation of manufacturers in a few scraps!

Now for the beautiful older embellishments:

A sticker sheet from EP It's A Beautiful Life, enamel shapes & gold word strips!

Now for the fun alphabet stickers!! Wow!

For the newer embellishments she sent ephemera from Oh Happy Day collection by Simple Stories and these adorable hearts from Doodlebug Designs!! I'm in love with these cute hearts!

Wow!  What beautiful kit! I can't wait to dig into it!  I will be back at the end of the week to share a recap of my May kit with you!!  I hope you will be inspired to dig through your stash this month and play along with myself and Lori as we endeavor to bash some stash in 2020!!  If you chose to play along make sure and link up below, we'd love to see what you have put together for a kit & what you create with it!  Happy creating friends!

Sketch N Scrap #184

Happy Monday!  It's a new week and that brings us a new round of fun challenges in the collaboration between Sketch N Scrap & Cookin' Up Creations!  Today it's my turn to offer up the challenge for the online 8th Birthday Bash crop at Sketch N Scrap! Here is the sketch we will be using for today's challenge:

Here is my layout based on Sketch #184:
Supplies Used: Cardstock: Stampin' Up- Pale Plum & Blackberry Bliss; Patterned Paper: My Mind's Eye (background), Pink Paislee Truly Grateful by Paige Taylor Evans; chipboard: (fox & flowers) Cozy Up by the Hip Kit Club; ephemera: Pink Paislee Horizon (tag), Pretty Little Studio Indian Summer (wreath) & Pink Paislee Truly Grateful (Hello); epoxy word/shapes: American Crafts Thickers Truly Grateful.
I dug into some Fall goodness for this layout!  I have been hoarding some of the Paige Taylor Evans Truly Grateful things as they are so pretty!! However, I know if I keep hoarding stuff it will leave no room for new stuff so I'm committed to start using it!! I loved how this newer line went so well with this older piece of paper from My Mind's Eye!  This color scheme is just delightful don't you think?  I really do love Fall colors the best!!  I hope you will join us in our online crop at Sketch N Scrap or in the Mad About Sketches challenges at Cookin' Up Creations!  Have a blessed and creative day!

My Favorite card sketch from Sketch N Scrap!

Happy Sunday friends!! It's another day in our month long 8th birthday bash celebration at Sketch N Scrap and this month we are revealing the design teams TOP 8 sketches over the past 8 years!! The design team has picked their top 4 card sketches and their top 4 layout sketches from the past 8 years and we are revealing them one by one this month in our online crop.  Today was my turn to reveal my favorite card sketch from the past 8 years of sketches.  I picked card sketch #144!!  I have used this sketch numerous times and know I will continue to do so!  Here is the sketch:

Here is the card I created based on this sketch:
Supplies Used: Cardstock: Stampin' Up Whisper White; patterned papers: October Afternoon Cherry Hill, Simple Stories Domestic Bliss, & Carta Bella Oh Happy Day; doily: Unknown source; ephemera: Pebbles Along the Way; ink: Memento Black Tuxedo; stamp: Stampin' Up Simply Sketched
I just love doilies, so I think this is one of the reasons I love this sketch!! For this card I just dug into the scrap paper pile on my desk to find colors to match this ephemera piece I wanted to use on my card, it came together so fast and easy! Another reason I love this sketch is that you get a great look in very little time!!  Do you have an all time favorite go to sketch for layouts or for cards?  If you do share it with me, I'd love to give it a try!!  Make sure and head over to Sketch N Scrap's online crop to see what other sketches the DT chose as their favorites!!  We are cropping until May 31st so there is still plenty of time to join in the fun!!  Happy creating!

Gone Fishing ~ Paper House Productions

Happy weekend! I hope the weather is pretty wherever you are! It's raining today in Texas so it gives me the perfect excuse to stay and in and get creative!! So today I am sharing a super fun layout I created with some of my Paper House Productions goodies!!  Of course, you know me and know that I almost always use a sketch to create my layouts and this layout is no different!!  Today I am using Sketch #60 from Sketch N Scrap.  This sketch is from 2014!

You might remember from my previous posts that Sketch N Scrap has teamed up with Cookin' Up Creations for the month of May for the their 4th Annual Mad About Sketches event!  Today's their challenges in their forum is to use Sketch #60!!

And here is my layout using Sketch #60:
Supplies Used: Stickers: Paper House Productions- Gone Fishing cardstock stickers & I'd Rather Be Fishing 3D stickers; patterned paper: Paper House Productions: Beneath the Stars, Into the Woods, Call of the Wild, Better when camping & discover USA map; enamel dots: My Mind's Eye
I just love Paper House's outdoors papers! The rich tones and outdoors prints are perfect for your fishing, camping, hiking or other outdoor fun photos! You might notice I added a strip of torn paper at the bottom of the layout that was not found in the sketch, but I just felt like it added some texture to my layout.  I hope you will be able to play along with us at Sketch N Scrap or Cookin' Up Creations!  And don't forget that Paper House is having a wonderfully crazy $1 sale right now!!  Plus don't forget to use my discount code PH20LISA to receive an extra 20% off your entire order!!  Happy shopping & happy creating!!

Double page layout fun

Today is my day to share my double page layout using the Flavors of the month kit at The ScrapRoom.  Here is a reminder of the full kit:

Here is the Fancy Pants Vitamin Sea mini kit I am using for today's layout:

Here is my layout created with this fun kit:
Supplies Used: cardstock: white- from the kit; Patterned Paper: Fancy Pants Vitamin Sea- from the kit; ephemera: Fancy Pants Vitamin Sea- from the kit; twine: source unknown- from the kit; Letter stickers: American Crafts Thickers- from my stash; puffy dots: Fancy Pants Vitamin Sea- from the kit.
I just love the bright color palette of this line! The patterns are fun as well.  The ephemera is cute and my favorite piece was this big swan floatie!  I layered a word strip on top of it and placed my title right above it! It made for a nice title embellishment!!  The tag worked great for making an embellishment cluster to balance out my title! Make sure and head over to The ScrapRoom blog to see what other amazing double page layouts the DT created with this amazing May kit!  Happy creating!

Happy Birthday Sketch N Scrap!!

Today we are celebrating Sketch N Scrap's 8th birthday with an exclusive birthday bash sketch designed by yours truly!!  Here is the sketch:

Here is my layout using the sketch:
Supplies Used: Cardstock: White by Bazzill; Patterned Paper: Echo Park Petticoats & Pinstripes; stickers: Petticoat & Pintstripes & Birthday Wishes; Letter Stickers: Petticoats & Pinstripes, bling: Queen & Co

I thought this sketch would work perfectly for these pictures of my friend's cute little granddaughter on her second birthday!! I loved this line mostly for the "vintage" vibe it has! This isn't a birthday collection but since it included this cute cake I knew I could make it work for my theme and for my photos! I have been using up a lot of old stash lately and have had a lot of fun "shopping" my stash.  It wasn't that I didn't still like these older things, it's that I just never had time to use it all! So far in 2020 I haven't bought anything new except for one PhotoPlay Quarantine collection, and that was even on sale and a very small paper collection, hopefully I will be using it soon in some projects!!  Make sure and head over to the Sketch N Scrap blog to see what the amazing DT has done with this sketch, it's sure to inspire you! Happy creating!!
