As October draws to a close and we get closer to the holidays I am here to share a fun card I created using a card sketch for Sketch N Scrap by Heather, one of our newest sketch artists!!!  Here is her amazing sketch:

Sketch N Scrap #90

Happy October friends!!!  I am so excited that we are suppose to have a cold front move in this weekend and hopefully that will make it feel more like Fall here in Texas!  I am so excited to share the sketch and my layout with you this month!  This is the debut sketch by our newest sketch artist at Sketch N Scrap, Heather!  I LOVED this sketch, it is a great one for getting TONS of photos on a single page layout!  I plan to use it again soon!  Here is Heather's awesome sketch:

I was so excited to make this layout for my nephew's book and be able to fit so many fun pictures onto it to show how fun their family day at the Pumpkin Patch was back in 2012! The year is moving by SOOO fast, I can't believe we are at the end of September already!  I am really ready for Fall but it is still not showing itself here in Texas....but hopefully soon!  Here is my last sketch of the month at Sketch N Scrap:

Twistback Thursday sketch for September!

It's time for Sketch N Scrap's Twistback Thursday challenge for September!!!  It's my turn to host the challenge this month and I picked this fabulous sketch by Kelly:



For this month's twist I decided to go with a back to school theme in honor of the start of my son's Senior year!  The twist for this month is to use items on your layout that start with each letter of the word APPLE!!!  So you must use one thing that starts with an "A", two things starting with a "P", one thing starting with an "L" and one thing starting with an "E" on your layout. You can use more things but you must at a minimum use one thing for each letter of the word "APPLE".  Here is what I came up with:

Supplies Used: Patterned Paper: Authentique, Simple Stories, Scenic Route, Bella Blvd, & Ki Memories (lined); Flair: Scraptastic, Die cuts: Simple Stories; punch: Stampin Up; letter stickers: Paper Trunk & American Crafts; enamel dots: Queen & Co and Recollections; sticker: Bella Blvd.

For my items to represent each letter in the word APPLE I used: A- Authentique (striped paper), P- Pumpkin die cut, P- punch (star)/polka dots, L- letter stickers/lined paper, E- Enamel dots.   I loved these photos of my nephew as a train engineer from last Halloween and wanted to get them scrapper before this Halloween, it is so fun to look back and see what they were into each year as represented by their costumes!  I hope you will play along with us at Sketch N Scrap this month, just remember you must use the sketch PLUS the TWIST for this challenge!  You have until September 30th at 7 pm CST to play along!  I can't wait to see what you create!  Make sure and check out all the wonderfully creative and fun layouts the DT made with this sketch too!  Happy crafting!

Are you even a little bit sad to see August winding down?  I am excited for football season to get into full swing but yet I am a bit sad to that school is starting in less then week and my baby will be starting his last year of high school, which is pretty bittersweet! But as the month starts to come to a close we are ready to share our last sketch of the month with you at Sketch N Scrap!
