TN Time with Lisa & Lori~ March edition!!

Happy Hump Day!  Last month just flew by and now it's time for a new monthly challenge!! This one is a lot of fun so let's get the party started!!

HERE IS HOW OUR CHALLENGE WORKS: This is a monthly challenge that launches on the 10th of each month  You will have until the 9th at midnight CST to link up your entries. If you complete my sketch challenge link your TN, bullet journal or planner spread below. If you combined my challenge with Lori's challenge link up your spread here on my blog AND on Lori's Blog (My Happy Life). For 2021 we are making this challenge a "just for fun" challenge with no prize, but isn't the real prize just documenting your memories and getting more pages done in 2021???!!!!
Now for my challenge!! Here is this month's sketch:

Now for Lori's March challenge (March 10th-April 9th):

What a fun challenge!  Green just screams March doesn't it?!!!
Here is my spread using both the sketch & Lori's challenge:
Supplies Used: Patterned Paper: American Crafts She's Magic by Dear Lizzy; stickers: Echo Park Coffee & Friends; enamel hearts: Pink Paislee Lucky Us; tag: Unknown; letter stickers: Hip Kit Club Cozy Up

Now for a few close ups:
I love that Starbucks main color is green and for some reason when I was thinking of a layout using green I immediately thought of this Starbucks picture my niece and I took last December!  This Dear Lizzy paper is one I have been hoarding but decided it was perfect for this photo and dug it out!!  I decided to go with a bolder title, it just looked better then the smaller letter stickers I tried to use at first.

I am not sure where I got this tag but when I was digging through my box of tags I immediately pulled this one out, I love how it looks with this fun coffee sticker!  I decided to use two banners instead of a tab at the top under my sticker, I thought it balanced out the layout better.  I loved these coffee stickers and was so glad to get to use them in my TN!!

Now for the nitty gritty of how to play along:

May Great Stash Bash kit!!

Yay!  We made it to May!!  May is an amazing month for me each year and I really look forward to it! Of course there is NSD and it's also the birthday month for Sketch N Scrap which I co-founded 8 years ago!! All those festivities kick off tomorrow at Sketch N Scrap so make sure and follow us on Facebook and the blog!!  Today's it's a new month so that means it's time to launch Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash 2020 kit for May!!
For those who are new to the challenge here is how it works:
On the 1st of each month we will post a challenge prompt and the stash kit we have created following that prompt. During the month we will try to use as much of our stash kits as possible on different projects. Then, on the last day of the month, we will do a recap post showing what stash we were able to bash!
This will be a just-for-fun challenge so no monthly prize - but isn't the real prize using up our stash? You never know - if we still have a few unused stash items after a few months, then those items may just go into a giveaway. We hope you will join us in our quest to bash some stash in 2020. If you accept the challenge to play along - link up on either my blog or Lori's blog (or both if you choose) so that we can see who is joining us each month!
Now for our May challenge:
This month we will create a kit with 10 papers (seven papers 3 years or older & three newer papers), 5-7 scrap papers, 4 embellishments (three that are 3 years or older & one newer one), and some FLOWERS!!
Since this is a just for fun challenge the rules are not set in stone BUT we have them to help you focus on what really matters using your stash!  We also hope you will help spread the word of our fun challenge so others may join in!!  You know you have at least one friend who needs to use her stash!!
Here are the rules:
1. Follow the challenge prompt to create a kit to work with throughout the month. You may use other items, but please concentrate on using your kit.
2. Create new, not previously posted projects using your stash kit.
3. If you have a blog - please include the challenge graphic and a link to our challenge in your posts.
4. You may link to social media if you don't have a blog. If you share on Instagram, please make sure to use - #lisaandlorisgreatstashbash2020
Here is the kit I created using the May prompts:

I am loving these colors this month, I'm in a bright colored mood with a splash of grey/black!
Here is a close up of the older papers:
These papers are from the following collections: Elle's Studio Live, Laugh, Love (4), Bella Blvd Family Dynamix (2) and Bella Blvd Sweet, Sweet Spring (purple). I only had this one Sweet Sweet Spring Paper and was glad to see it coordinates well with the Elle's Studio papers!
Here are my newer papers:
These papers are from Simple Stories Oh Happy Day line (yellow), Pebbles Chasing Adventures (red), and Dear Lizzy She's Magic (pink).
Here are the scraps I picked...as you can see one I spilled water on, so not sure the end is able to be salvaged!
None of my scraps had branding strips on them, so I am not sure what lines they are from!  I think the yellow is from Bo Bunny and the reds are from My Mind's Eye, Scenic Route (wow! So old) & Echo Park
Here are my embellishments:

The new embellishment is Pink Pasilee Horizons Thickers, flowers are from Basic Grey (another oldie but goodie) and the older 3 embellishments are from Elle's Studio!! I love all these fun embellishments and hope to use a lot of them this month!!
I hope you will be inspired to dig through your stash this month and play along with myself and Lori as we endeavor to bash some stash in 2020!!  If you chose to play along make sure and link up below, we'd love to see what you have put together for a kit & what you create with it!  Happy creating friends!

February TN Time with Lisa & Lori

Happy Monday!  I hope your year is off to a good start...didn't have time to join us last month?  No worries today we are launching another sketch and challenge!  So let's get this party started!

You will then have a chance to win my prize as well as Lori's prize!  That's a chance to win TWO times with ONE layout! WOW!
Now for my challenge!! Here is this month's sketch:

Now for Lori's challenge:
For Lori's challenge use 3 of the following items on your spread:
The color pink
The color red
hearts
flowers
tag(s)
label(s)
gold
striped pattern paper
Now here is my layout based on the sketch & Lori's challenge:
Supplies Used: Patterned Paper: CTMH Heart Happy, Dear Lizzy She's Magic, Pink Paislee Lucky Us, My Mind's Eye So Sophie; cardstock: Stampin' Up Black; ephemera: Pink Fresh My Favorite Story & Dear Lizzy She's Magic; enamel dots: Recollections; puffy stickers: Vicki Boutin & Elle's Studio; flower: Pretty Little Studios; word strip: Simple Stories; date stamp: Heidi Swapp; ink: Memento Black Tuxedo; letter stickers: Making Memories; die: CTMH heart; washi tape: Crate Paper

A few close ups:
As you can see I was an over achiever and used EVERYTHING on the list for Lori's challenge!  It was super easy to do and a fun challenge for myself!  I used pink and red both on the layout, I used the black gingham washi tape.  I used hearts in my paper, my die cut and a puffy heart sticker.  I used gold by adding gold enamel dots.  I also used a label and tag from the Dear Lizzy She's Magic ephemera pack I got on sale last year. My flower is from Pretty Little Studios and it is so pretty I have been hoarding it lol!  I used a few striped pieces of paper to finish off the challenge!
I had fun documenting this fun memory my niece and I had from this past December.  As a birthday present to her instead of toys, clothes or other gifts I decided to give her the gift of time and an experience so I found this cat cafe for us to visit.  She LOVES cats and so this fun cafe called The Casual Cat Cafe was purrfect for her! We had fun petting, holding and playing with the kitties.  One named Ford was so crazed for treats he kept biting my niece if she didn't give him one or if she gave it to another cat!  You would think he would be fat from all the treats he hogs down but he was actually the skinniest one of the bunch!  Ford is the black cat in the picture practically crawling into her lap, he was really a fun one to get to know (well, when he wasn't biting you lol!) We will be definitely going back again soon to pet the kitties!

October Jumpstart sketch at The ScrapRoom!

Good evening and Happy October!!  I have been creating up a storm and it feels so good!!  Today I am sharing the sketch I made for this month's JumpStart sketch at The ScrapRoom.  Here is the sketch:

The October Flavors of the Month kit is here and it is SPECTACULAR!!  Look at all this goodness!!

Today I am working with the lovely collection by American Crafts- Dear Lizzy She's Magic! The colors are so vibrant and gorgeous!

Here is my layout using the kit and the October Jumpstart sketch:
Supplies Used: card stock: Navy- from the kit; Patterned Paper: Dear Lizzy She's Magic- from the kit; ephemera: Dear Lizzy She's Magic- from the kit; letter stickers: American Craft Thickers- from my stash; frame: Dear Lizzy She's Magic- from the kit
I loved the florals in the kit and the vibrant colors!  I followed the sketch very closely this time.  I also did a lot of fussy cutting for this layout, I fussy cut the larger flower and the leaves in the lower left corner near the photos and I also fussy cut all the phrase strips from one of the papers to use as embellishments!  How fun are these paper??!!!  These picture's of my friends adorable granddaughter were perfect for these papers!! Make sure and hop on over to the ScrapRoom blog to check out what the other DT members have done with this super fun kit!!  Happy creating!
