Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style sketch #86

TGIF!!  Aren't you glad it's Friday?  I know I am! That means that I can take some time to catch up and get stuff done that I have neglected this past week and then head into my craft space to do some fun creating!!  Today we have a fun sketch for you over at the Sketches in Thyme PL Style blog!  Here is the sketch by Emma:

Here is my take on the sketch:
Supplies Used: Cardstock: Stampin Up Strawberry Slush; Patterned Paper (dot)- Bella Blvd and (pink for butterfly) Bo Bunny; PL card- premade card used for base by We R Memory Keepers; sticker: Bella Blvd; arrow- Recollections, pearls: Recollections; punch: butterfly by Martha Stewart; Die: Lawn Fawn- Hello.

I just had so much fun with this sketch! I can see so many possibilities for it! I know I will use it again soon.  I used a premade PL card that was just blank for my base, then I followed the sketch pretty close just adding a butterfly and arrow to embellish it a bit.  Since I don't have a layout to use this card on just yet I decided against using the embellishment to add my date and instead used it to add a little quote sticker.  This card is so versatile I know it will find it's way onto a layout soon!  Make sure and head over the the Sketches in Thyme Project Lifestyle blog and see what all the other DT members did with this fun sketch!  Happy creating!

Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style Sketch #83

Good morning!  I almost forgot to share with you my latest layout using a fun sketch I created for the Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style blog!  I am a newbie at Project Life layouts but find they are pretty fun to do and I am really loving getting caught up on some of my older albums more quickly by doing these Project life spreads!  Here is the sketch:

Here is my card based on the sketch:
 Supplies Used:  Patterned Paper & stickers: Simple Stories 100 days of Summer

I decided to use this fun sticker that coordinated with my papers instead of a calendar on my card!  I didn't have a calendar for that year and decided to use the year under my "Summer" pre-made card!
Here is the entire layout I made to go with the card I made from the sketch:
Supplies Used:  Sticker & Patterned Paper from Simple Stories 100 days of Summer line; die cuts (journal box)- Simple Stories Summer Days line

I loved using up some more of the papers from my 100 paper challenge on this layout!  It has been a year now and I have only put a "slight" dent in my 100 paper stack, I think I was a bit ambitious on this challenge, I am going to revamp it a bit in September and make my stack a "short stack" instead of such a large one and see if I can knock off a "Short stack" by next year!  So stay tuned for a fun new challenge!  I still love this older line from Simple Stories and it combined great with the newer line from Simple Stories called Summer Days!  These pictures were taken on our vacation to Coco Beach, Florida way back in 2009!  It was my son's first time to see the ocean and we had a blast!!  Glad to have this trip and it's pictures finally complete in my album!  Now we can take a new trip lol!  Make sure and hop on over to the Sketches In Thyme Project Life Style blog and see all the fun sketches as well as the other DT member's take on my sketch!  There is LOADS of inspiration on this one little blog!  Plus there is a chance to win a fun prize if you play along!

Hi friends! Things are getting busy on the blog today, this is my second post to share with you for today!  WOW! I love creating and most of all sharing my creations with other like minded paper crafters.  Today I am excited to announce I have joined the DT of Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style challenge blog!  I have always loved the idea of pocket scrapbooking but hadn't really done much of it so I am very excited to be invited to be part of such a talented group of ladies!  I am also excited that starting in July I will also be designing sketches for them as well!  What would I do without my sketches?!!!!  Here is the fun sketch by Susanne Brauer that I used for today's project:

And here is my PL card using the sketch:

Here is my completed layout using the card based on the sketch:
Supplies Used: Patterned Paper: Scenic Route (grid), Echo Park Little Boy; Echo Park Sunny Days Ahead; Cardstock: Stampin' Up: Really Red, Daffodil Delight & Pumpkin Pie; Letter Stickers: American Craft Thickers (foam), Echo Park  Splendid Sunshine (navy), MLS (mini red) & Authentique (grey); Enamel Dots: My Mind's Eye; Wood Veneer: Queen & Co; stickers: Echo Park Sunny Days Ahead (sun) & Echo Park I love Sunshine(Banner); Word stickers: Jillibean Soup Watermelon Gazpacho; Die Cut: Hello Sunshine and sunglasses strip by Elle's Studio; PL style pre-printed card: Elle's Studio (JUNE);
This is going to be a second page to go with another layout I created a few years back about this same trip....I was having a hard time including all these photos on a second page and figured a pocket style page was the way to go!  I love how it turned out!  I am going to add the journaling to my Details of our Trip card tonight to finish the layout then into my album it will go!  Feels so good to have another layout complete! I hope you will join us again at Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style in July when I reveal my first PL sketch!!!  Make sure and visit the Sketches in Thyme PL Style blog to see all the other designers take on the sketch as well as to see some more amazing sketches to use in your pocket scrapping!  And to sweeten the deal if you play along they have an amazing prize up for grabs this month! Happy creating!
