Card Fun ~Throwback Thursday!

Happy Thursday!  Today I am throwing it back to 2017 and using a card sketch from Sketch N Scrap's 5th birthday bash!!  Here is sketch #4 for the 5th Birthday Bash at Sketch N Scrap created by Heather Hall:

Here is my card I created based on this fun sketch:

Supplies Used: card base: CTMH; patterned Paper: My Mind's Eye Wild Asparagus & Bella Blvd Island Time (wood stripe); stickers: Crate Paper Garden Party; jewel: Queen & Co

I used all scraps to create this card.  All these scrap papers are from past kits from The ScrapRoom that I am trying to use up!  Sketch N Scrap has been sharing FREE sketches since 2012 (almost 10 years WOW!) and you can find them all on our blog or on our Pinterest page!!  So if the current sketches we have don't meet your needs make sure and search for past sketches using the right side bar on our blog, you can search by number of photos or for card sketches there, easy peasy!!  We hope you will play along with us each month and if you do make sure and share your creation with us on the blog or on our Facebook page, we can't wait to see what you create!!

Happy Monday!  Today I am playing along with the April Rewind challenge on Facebook!  Each month social media DT member Jan challenges us to use an older card and layout sketch to create a fun layout or card!  This month she is challenging us to create a card based on card sketch #114 from 2018.  Here is the sketch created by yours truly:

Here is my card I created with the sketch:

Supplies Used: card base: CTMH; doily Martha Stewart; patterned paper: Simple Stories Apron Strings; die: CTMH; black pen: Pentel; cardstock: Stampin' Up Strawberry Slush; enamel dot: My Mind's Eye & Enamel Hearts: American Crafts Shimelle Sparkle City

I love how this card turned out!  I created it using scraps on my desk and a die I had cut out for another project and never used due to the color not working out!  So fast and easy!!  Make sure and join in the fun over on the Sketch N Scrap Facebook page!  You have until the end of the month to play along!  Happy creating!

Card Fun!!

TFIG!!  I am SOOO ready for the weekend, how about you?  I always find some time for creating on the weekends but the weekdays it's hit or miss and lately it has been more miss!!  Today I am sharing two fun cards I created for challenges at Sketch N Scrap!  The first card was created using the March 5th sketch at Sketch N Scrap!  Here is the fun sketch by Heather Hall:

Here is my card using this fun sketch:
Supplies Used: Card base: CTMH; Patterned Paper: Echo Park Happy Birthday Boy; stickers: (lion) Echo Park Happy Birthday Boy & (celebrate) Carta Bella Let's Celebrate; black pen: Le Pen; Cardstock: Stampin' Up Sky Blue & Daffodil Delight; circle die: Stampin' Up.

I love the way this card turned out, this is a great sketch and one I know I will use again!!  Next up is a card I created for Sketch N Scrap's Card Classic Rewind challenge on Facebook.  This month's challenge is to use card sketch #81 to create a card!  Here is the sketch:

Here is my card using this sketch from 2016:
Supplies Used: Patterned Paper: Pebbles Live Life Happy, American Crafts Never Grow Up, Photo Play Paper Fern & Willard & KI Memories (pink hearts); Card stock: Stampin' Up Whisper White; stickers: PhotoPlay Paper Fern & Willard; pens: Black Le Pen & White Pen Signo

This card was a made from scraps that were lying on my desk and the Photo Play Fern & Willard sticker sheet I got in my ScrapRoom Double Shot kit this month!  I thought this cute frog was so adorable I knew I wanted to use it on this card!! It felt great to use up some scraps, still trying to keep my scrap bin under control on a regular basis to avoid it overflowing!! I hope you will join us on Facebook and play along with both our Classic Card OR Classic Layout sketch Rewind Challenges as we use some oldie but goodie sketches from years past!!  You can find Sketch N Scrap on Facebook HERE.  Have a creative weekend!

Rewind Challenge at Sketch N Scrap!!

Happy Thursday!!  This year Sketch N Scrap is doing a fun new challenge on our Facebook page every month called the Rewind Challenge.  We are throwing it back a year or two and taking an older sketch and using it for a challenge!  Sound like fun?  I thought it was!  This month is our first challenge and DT member Jan has chosen this fun sketch from 2017 by sketch artist Heather Hall!

I have used this sketch multiple times!  It really inspires me as it is a bit outside of my normal style!!

Here is my layout using this sketch:
Supplies Used: Patterned Paper: Simple Stories Bro & Co and My Mind's Eye (background); cardstock: Bazzill Black; Stickers: Simple Stories Bro & Co; foam word: Simple Stories Bro & Co; black pen: Le Pen.

I used up the last remnants of this collection that I got in a kit from The ScrapRoom.  I am trying to use up at least one older kit each month so that I don't have a huge stack of 1/2 used kits lying around!!  So far I am going good on controlling the kit stash!  I loved this line, the colors are amazing and so perfect for boys!  I still have a bunch of stickers left on the 12 x 12 sticker sheet included in the kit but have started storing those left over sticker sheets on my desk in plain site so I can easily see them and reach for them first when I need an embellishment!  Those 12 x 12 stickers sheet are a great value but SOOOO hard to use up!  This picture is of my nephew and his cousins' dog.  It is just too cute not to scrap don't you think?  I hope you will join in our Rewind Challenge at Sketch N Scrap!  You can find it HERE!  Happy creating!!
