September 1st sketch at Sketch N Scrap

TGIF!! Today I was lucky enough to get some free time this afternoon to play along with the September 1st sketch at Sketch N Scrap!  I really loved this sketch when I first saw it, as I really love the look of a big circle!!  Here is the sketch by sketch artist Heather Hall:

Here is my layout created with the sketch:
Supplies Used: Cardstock: white- Bazzill; Patterned Paper: Pink Fresh Studio Happy Blooms, Hip Kit Club Delightful & Crate Paper Oasis; ephemera: Hip Kit Club Delightful; Letter Stickers: Hip Kit Club Pretty Sweet; Chipboard word (adventure): Pink Paislee Horizons; enamel dots: Hip Kit Club Pretty Sweet.

I had so much fun with this layout! I loved that I was able to use up papers and embellishments from my September Great Stash Bash kit too!  The only paper I didn't use from the kit was the Crate Paper Oasis paper I used for the background.  But still a win in my book as I used up another piece of paper!! YAY!  I am working hard on using up my kit this month, but it is HARD to use up 10 papers!!  I have barely made a dent in my kit with this one layout but stay tuned, I will be working on making a few cards next!!  I hope you will join in the fun at Sketch N Scrap this month or why not join in the fun and play along with Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash challenge and make up a kit to create with?
Happy creating!!

TN Time with Lisa & Lori ~ May edition!

Happy Monday!! Are you ready for a new week????  I hope you find yourself enjoying some creative time this week!!  It's time to kick off our next edition of TN Time with Lisa & Lori!!  So let's get this party started!

HERE IS HOW OUR CHALLENGE WORKS: This is a monthly challenge that launches on the 10th of each month  You will have until the 9th at midnight CST to link up your entries. If you complete my sketch challenge link your TN, bullet journal or planner spread below. If you combined my challenge with Lori's challenge link up your spread here on my blog AND on Lori's Blog (My Happy Life). For 2021 we are making this challenge a "just for fun" challenge with no prize, but isn't the real prize just documenting your memories and getting more pages done in 2021???!!!!
Now for my challenge!! Here is this month's sketch:

Now for Lori's challenge for May (May 10th-June 9th):

What a fun challenge!!  Purple is one of my favorite colors, yet I don't have a lot of purple paper!! I also find myself gravitating towards flowers when I buy scrappy supplies, I have floral stickers, ephemera flowers, floral papers, fabric flowers etc, truthfully I haven't met a flower I don't like!!! So this challenge is perfect for me!!
Here is my spread using both the sketch and Lori's challenge:
Supplies Used: Cardstock: CTMH yellow; Patterned Paper: Pink Paislee Bloom Street, American Crafts, Hip Kit Club & CTMH; stickers: Pink Paislee Bloom Street; ephemera: Hip Kit Club; journal boxes: Elle's Studio; enamel dots: Hip Kit Club; Enamel Hearts: Pink Paislee; die: Stampin' Up stitched circle.

For the purple part of the challenge I used some purple strips of paper, some purple flowers, a purple journal spot and a purple enamel dot!  I love purple and although I wanted more yellow to bring out the yellow in my flowers I think the pops of the purple were perfect!

Here are a few close ups:
I added a journal box not shown in the sketch behind my picture to put hidden journaling on, as I had a story about the day I wanted to tell and not enough room under the picture.

I really loved this floral paper and I just pulled the pink and purple from the floral paper for my two paper strips called for in the sketch.

Now for the nitty gritty of how to play along:

Pink Fresh Studios Keeping It Real ~April at The ScrapRoom!

Happy Hump Day!  Today I'm back with another layout I created with the April Flavors of the Month Kit at The ScrapRoom!  Here is reminder of the kit:

Here is the Pink Fresh Studios Keeping It Real line I used on today's layout:

Here is the layout I created with this amazing kit:

Supplies Used: Cardstock: white- from the kit; Patterned Paper: PinkFresh Studio Keeping it Real- from the kit; emphemera: Pink Fresh Studio Keeping it Real- from the kit; circle die: Stampin' Up stitched circle; black pen: Pentel; puffy stickers/word: Pink Fresh Studio Keeping it Real-from the kit; tag: Fancy Pants-from my stash.

I loved how this collection gave me so many opportunities for fussy cutting!  I cut out the tag at the top that says "Get lost in a good book".  I really loved that particular paper and all the fun tags, I cut most of them out to use later! I really felt like this picture of my friend's granddaughter reading a book was perfect for this line!!  Is there anything cuter then a little kid reading a book????? I don't think so!   Make sure and head on over to The ScrapRoom blog to check out all the other layouts the DT has created with this amazing kit!  Happy creating!

Pink Fresh Let your Heart Decide- April Flavors of the Month kit

I had so much fun with the April Flavors of the Month kit!!  Can you believe I have never used a paper line by Pink Fresh????!!  Me either!  I can't believe I waited this long! The Let Your Heart Decide line is spectacular!
Here is the April Flavors of the Month kit:
And here is the Pink Fresh Let Your Heart Decide mini kit:
Isn't it gorgeous???  Here is my layout using this kit:
Supplies Used: Card stock- white- from the kit; Patterned Paper: Pink Fresh Let your Heart Decide- from the kit; ephemera: Pink Fresh Let Your Heart Decide- from the kit; frame: Pink Fresh Let Your Heart Decide- from the kit; title- American Crafts Thickers- from my stash; wood veneers: Pink Fresh- from the embellishment kit
My good friend LOVES hummingbirds, so when I saw this sweet little hummingbird in my kit I knew I had to use this picture of her and her sweet daughter!  I loved the frame included in the kit as well but I always have a hard time using them, so I decided to treat it as a second picture, but because I didn't have second picture to frame I cut apart one of the many quote boxes which is one of the papers that comes in the kit and framed it!! I love the way it turned out!  These quote boxes are just to cute!!  Make sure and hop on over to the ScrapRoom blog to see what the other DT members did with this kit, there are some SUPER cute layouts using it!!  I also used the amazing embellishment kit on my layout - the wood veneer shapes included in this kit are awesome!

You can find the embellishment kit HERE at the ScrapRoom store!  I hope you will enjoy using this kit as much as I did!  Happy creating friends!
