Gone Fishing ~ Paper House Productions

Happy weekend! I hope the weather is pretty wherever you are! It's raining today in Texas so it gives me the perfect excuse to stay and in and get creative!! So today I am sharing a super fun layout I created with some of my Paper House Productions goodies!!  Of course, you know me and know that I almost always use a sketch to create my layouts and this layout is no different!!  Today I am using Sketch #60 from Sketch N Scrap.  This sketch is from 2014!

You might remember from my previous posts that Sketch N Scrap has teamed up with Cookin' Up Creations for the month of May for the their 4th Annual Mad About Sketches event!  Today's their challenges in their forum is to use Sketch #60!!

And here is my layout using Sketch #60:
Supplies Used: Stickers: Paper House Productions- Gone Fishing cardstock stickers & I'd Rather Be Fishing 3D stickers; patterned paper: Paper House Productions: Beneath the Stars, Into the Woods, Call of the Wild, Better when camping & discover USA map; enamel dots: My Mind's Eye
I just love Paper House's outdoors papers! The rich tones and outdoors prints are perfect for your fishing, camping, hiking or other outdoor fun photos! You might notice I added a strip of torn paper at the bottom of the layout that was not found in the sketch, but I just felt like it added some texture to my layout.  I hope you will be able to play along with us at Sketch N Scrap or Cookin' Up Creations!  And don't forget that Paper House is having a wonderfully crazy $1 sale right now!!  Plus don't forget to use my discount code PH20LISA to receive an extra 20% off your entire order!!  Happy shopping & happy creating!!

Quick & Easy Cards with 3D stickers from Paper House Productions!!

Good morning everyone!! Today I am showing you some super fun quick cards I made using a set of super amazing 3D stickers from Paper House Productions!!
Supplies Used: Cardstock: Stampin' Up- Soft Sky, Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White, Pink Pirouette, Basic Blakc; stickers: 3D Panda stickers from Paper House Productions; dies: CTMH- heart & Doily, Stampin' Up- rectangle; stamps: CTMH (it's your day) and Stampin' Up (happy birthday small & large); inks: Stampin' Up- Soft Sky, Pink Pirouette, Rich Razzleberry, Pear Pizzazz, and black
For my first card I used blue and pink ink to make ink splatters on a white base.  I then stamped my large sentiment on my die cut rectangle and had my sweet panda placed as if he is "peeking" over the edge of the rectangle, how cute is that?!!!

These sweet 3D panda stickers make the cutest birthday cards don't you think?  For this card I used the "smooshing" technique to make my background and added some ink splatters.

For this last card I changed up my color scheme to pop the green of the bamboo stalk.  I dry embossed my background and to give more visual interest I used repetitive stamping on my sentiment in 2 different colors of ink!  I love having my main images popped up and "hanging" off my main focal point (in this case the die cut doily) to make my cards more eye catching!!
I'd love to see your cards using 3D stickers!!  Link up in the comments to share!! Have a blessed week my crafty friends! I'll pop back on soon to share my other fun projects I have been working on these past few weeks!  Happy creating!!

Paper House Explore your world travel line

Good morning friends and fellow crafters!!  Today I am showing a fun layout I made using the Explore your World travel line from Paper House Productions!!  Here is my layout
Supplies Used: Suitcases Double Sided Paper (Background); Explore Your World Map Double Sided Paper; Luggage Tags Double Sided Paper; Passport Stamps Double Sided Paper; Around the World 3D stickers; Let’s Explore Cardstock stickers; Around the World Puffy Stickers

I love the puffy stickers and 3D stickers from this line!  Puffy stickers and 3D stickers give so much added dimension to my layouts, they are some of my favorite products to work with! As you can see I used a combination of 3D stickers and puffy stickers for my lower embellishment cluster and a fun cluster of puffy stickers and enamel dots in the upper right of my layout. Here is a close up of the bottom embellishment cluster:

My most favorite little trick for adding a title to my layout is to use a quote or word sticker, it saves you time in lining up alphabet letters for your title!! This cardstock sticker from the Let’s Explore Cardstock stickers set was perfect for my title, making a title was never so easy and yet it is so impactful! I used foam tape to pop the quote sticker off the page to give it added dimension and make the title stand out more. Here is a close up:
The papers from the Explore Your World line work  well with any type of travel destination! I used pictures from my friend's trip to the Netherlands but of course I think any type of destination whether far away or close by could be documented using this line! Enjoy documenting your next trip with the fun and versatile Explore Your World line! Happy Trails and happy creating!

National Best Friends Day with Paper House Productions!

Today is National Best Friends Day! Time to celebrate your BFF and that amazing bond you both share! My BFF loves to read and so I thought I would wrap up a book by her favorite author and gift it to her to celebrate National Best Friends Day! While she isn’t crafty she does enjoy handmade things, so I used some washi tape and faux enamel stickers to dress up the wrapped package.

Supplies Used: Butterflies Washi Tape Set; butterflies faux enamel stickers

I love to recycle plain paper bags as gift wrap. The gold glimmer of the faux enamel stickers is the perfect way to dress up this rather plain choice of gift wrap!! I started by adding a strip of the butterflies washi tape the long and short way across the middle of the package. I then added a strip of the thin turquoise washi on either sides of these strips. This washi set also has pops of gold in it, giving my package even more shine and shimmer! I then added a doily to disguise where the washi tape runs together. I added a button threaded with gold thread to accentuate the gold even more on top of the doily. As a a finishing touch I added one faux enamel butterfly sticker in the upper right and lower left corners of the package. What an easy peasy gift using your craft supplies and an old paper bag!
Here is a close up of the package:
I also used the same supplies to make a little card in which to write a note letting my BFF know how special she is to me:
I chose to make a smaller card (4 1/4 x 4 1/4). I added a strip of washi to the bottom of the embossed white cardstock panel. Then I heat embossed the sentiment in gold to accentuate those beautiful gold accents. And for a finishing touch I added another faux enamel butterfly sticker. This card is quick and easy but oh so pretty! You could easily mass produce it if you have multiple friends you wish to make a card for. The next time you need to wrap a gift or make a card make sure and consider using some of your crafty supplies to do so! Everyone loves a handmade gift, card or packaging! It makes them feel so special knowing the effort you put into making their gift extra special!

Let Freedom Ring!

Happy Memorial Day! I am working today but I know many of you have a long weekend and I hope you will enjoy some scrappy time today! I am so glad we have set aside a day to stop and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.  How blessed we all are because of them! A few years ago we visited Washington, D.C. and during our time there we visited Arlington National Cemetery.  This was my second time there and I was so glad to be able to share this visit with my son so he could learn of the history of those hallowed and sacred grounds and see the beauty of this place.  It is awe inspiring for sure!  I thought these pictures from when we visited the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier deserved a layout all to themselves.  The first picture of the cemetery was taken as we walked up to the Tomb of the Unknown and then of course the second was at the actual Tomb. Every Memorial Day since my first visit to Arlington National Cemetery these are the images I have in my mind when I think about Memorial Day.  These amazing men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for me and those who stand watch at the Tomb of the Unknown night and day no matter what the weather!  Wow, so amazing!  Here is my layout:
Supplies Used: Paper House Productions- Let Freedom Ring Paper Pad ; wood veneer stars:Studio Calico; gold enamel dot: Paper Studio

I knew when I saw the Let Freedom Ring paper pad it would be perfect for documenting that special memory of our time at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.  The papers in this pad were a perfect back drop for my photos, and I love that it also includes a 12 x 12 sheet of stickers for embellishing your pages. I used one of the cut apart papers to cut out this 4 x 6 flag to use as a backdrop for the larger sticker of the USA map. I then added my title directly on the map sticker placing it to the left of my photos to add balance. I tore the blue map paper to give the layout some texture and used these torn pieces as borders around my pictures. Here is a close up:
I then added my title under my pictures and embellished with a star sticker from the paper pad as well as some wood veneer stars. I finished off the bottom of the layout with two banners cut from one of the cut apart cards included in the paper pad. The pops of gold on some of the papers and the cut apart accents are divine and give your pages an elegant sparkle as shown here on the cut apart border I added over the torn map paper. Here is a close up:
This layout is based on Sketch #177 at Sketch N Scrap by Heather Hall.  Here is the sketch the layout is based on:
This is another layout completed for my Bingo card!  Marking off the bottom right square for the May 15th sketch! The 7th Birthday Bash Bingo game is still going on over at the Sketch N Scrap private group until May 31st so make sure and check out all the fun challenges and inspiration!!  Join me in working towards a bingo- just 2 more squares to go in 2 different places to get a BINGO!!
I hope you have the opportunity to visit Arlington National Cemetery at some time and get to see the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier as it is truly a memorable experience. Enjoy your holiday and stop and join me in a moment of silence and reflection at 3 pm CST today as we remember those who sacrificed for our Freedom! Let Freedom Ring!

Paper House Productions ~ Wonder Woman Gift Bag & Card

Howdy!! I'm up on the Paper House blog again today sharing another fun project using Paper House products!  I had so much fun working with this fun Wonder Woman collection!  It is perfect for the strong, confident & extraordinary woman in your life!  This is a gift bag and card I created for a friend who is going through a rough patch right now.
Supplies Used: Wonder Woman Cardstock Stickers; Wonder Woman Portraits Foil Paper; Wonder Woman Tags Foil Paper; Wonder Woman; Wonder Woman Amazon Princess Foil Paper; Wonder Woman Confidence & Strength Foil Paper and Wonder Woman Logos Faux Enamel Stickers

I used a plain kraft gift bag and made a front for my gift bag by mounting the portrait of Wonder Woman on some cardstock, layering it on the Confidence & Strength paper and then adding a small strip of the foil paper on the bottom. Lastly I added the Wonder Woman cardstock sticker on pop dots to give the bag some dimension and texture.

My tag was created on one of the cut apart tag on the Wonder Woman Tags Foil Paper, I then die cut a circle & scallop circle out of cardstock and mounted the cardstock Wonder Woman sticker and word "pow" on pop dots onto the circle. I stamped the phrase "I'm Her for you" in black ink. I attached red grossgrain ribbon to my tag with a hand sewn button and then then tied the tag to the bag with gold string. Here is a close up of the tag

To complete the ensemble I made a super quick and easy card. I added the Wonder Woman cardstock sticker as well as a few of the faux enamel stickers to tie in the gold on the bottom layer of the card.

I would love to see what you create using this fun line, if you have a picture drop it in the comments! Make sure and check out what the other Paper House DT has done with this fun collection on the Paper House Blog.  Happy creating!!

National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day @ Paperhouse Productions!!

Happy National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day!!  Today I am up on the Paperhouse Productions blog sharing my Journey book spread to celebrate National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day!  We all love our fur babies and using our Journey Book inserts is a great way to to document the fun, happy, and silly times with your sweet pet or pets! Today I am sharing the story of how I met the neighborhood cat in the small town neighborhood my brother lives in.  Here is my spread created in my Color washed Journey book insert:
Supplies Used: Color washed Journey Book insert; Patterned Paper: Explore Your World Tags Paper;  Washi: Blush Washi Tape Set; Stickers: Best friends Sculpted stickers; Cats Illustrated 2″ stickers; Cat Faces Puffy Stickers & Cat Faces To Go stickers; card stock: CTMH- from my stash; die- hello: Lawn Fawn; letter stickers: Elle's Studio, stamp: date- Elle's Studio; ink: CTMH black archival.

Here is what the outside of the insert looks like ( this one is the multi-colored one)
I used one of the cut apart cards from the Explore your World Tags paper to make a pocket to hold my journaling. I did my journaling on 2 tags and used my computer to do the journaling as this story was a bit long as it covered 3 years! I stamped directly on the cut apart card so the date was front and center to remind me of the first time I met Buddy! Here is a close up of the journaling tags

The journaling chronicles how I first met Buddy the cat back in the Fall of 2016. While on my yearly visit to my brother’s home and while on a walk with my little nephew we saw a cat sunning on the front porch of a home. I found out the next day from the home owner of the home where he was sunning himself that he was actually the neighborhood cat. He was super friendly and instead of taking him to the shelter all the neighbors in this small community care for Buddy so all his needs are met! For the past 3 years I have visited my brother every Fall & my nephew and I always walk in the neighborhood and go visit Buddy. If we don’t see him we call for him by name and he will come running to us! This past Spring when I heard of severe flooding in my brother’s town I immediately became worried for not only the townspeople but Buddy! I was so glad to learn after the flooding was over Buddy was safe and sound and his neighborhood family as usual was giving him the best care and watching out for him!
I love the puffy stickers at Paper House Productions!  These stickers give so much texture without all the bulk of the thicker 3D stickers.  Here is a close up of the Best Friends Sculpted Words stickers and the Cat faces puffy stickers:

I would love to hear more about your pets or see how you have documented your pet memories!! Feel free to share with me in the comments below!  For more great ideas on how to use your Paper House products make sure and check out all the inspiring ideas on the Paper House blog!  Happy creating!!

Paper House Productions Star Gazer Collection!

Good morning!  I am super excite to share my first DT product with you for Paper House Productions! Today I am using the absolutely gorgeous Stargazer collection!  Here is my project:
Supplies Used: all by Paper House Productions: Color washed Journey notebook insert; Stargazer Night Sky & Galaxy Foil Paper; Stargazer Shine Bright & Dream Big cardstock Stickers; Stargazer washi tape set; Celestial & Stargazer Faux enamel stickers.
I just loved the TN's called Journey Books from Paper House! They have so many beautiful covers and inserts it is hard to choose just one!! I am using the Be Positive Journey book insert for this project from the Color Washed collection. Here is what it looks like on the outside:
Aren't these colors divine???  You can purchase yours here.
I had 3 photos I wanted to use on this layout. I am making this Journey book as a gift for my friend's daughter's middle school graduation coming up. I thought it would be a fun memento of her middle school years! For this book, I am actually not doing a chronological book, just a collection of memories for her from the past 3 years....so it will not be my usual chronological style scrapbook but I think she will still love it! I picked these pictures because my friend, her daughter, her daughter's friend and myself participated in a 5K walk last month and the girls' shirts perfectly matched the Stargazer collection! I loved all of the Stargazer stickers so much I wanted to use the second page as just a fun mix of stickers and my title so I ended up making a fold out flap to "hide" and "house" my other 2 photos. Here is a close up of this:

I took a 6.25 inch x 2.5 inch piece of Stargazer Galaxy Foil paper and folded it in half so that I could mount two pictures inside and one picture on the front. I added some of the narrow Stargazer washi tape to the inside edges to jazz it up and then added a faux enamel sticker to the top right corner of the third picture. I used one of the faux enamel stickers from the Stargazer collection as my little "handle" so I can open and close the flap. I backed that sticker where it was still showing with white cardstock so it wouldn't be sticky and stick to my project! Here is a close up of my "handle":
I hope you were inspired by my project!  Stay tuned for more Journey Book projects as I continue to fill this book up with memories for sweet Miss Ellie!!  And don't forget to visit the Paper House blog to check out all the amazing and inspiring projects using the Stargazer collection this week!  Happy creating!
