Lucky Charms Crop at Sketch N Scrap!

The Lucky Charms crop is going on at Sketch N Scrap for the rest of the month and today's is my turn to host a challenge!

Today's challenge is to create a card using card sketch #69 from March of 2016! Here is the sketch:

Here is my card created using the sketch:
Supplies Used: Card stock: Stampin' Up- Whisper white & Basic Black; Pattern Paper: Pink Paislee Girl Squad; doily: Recollections; Ephemera: Pink Paislee Girl Squad; Enamel Dots: My Mind's Eye (pink) & CTMH (Gold)
I had so much fun creating this card for a special friend as a pick me up!  It's hard to see in the photo but the words on the ephemera card as in gold foil!  This adds that extra fun sparkle to the card!  I hope you will find time to join us at our Lucky Charms Crop this month! We'd love to have you play along with us!  I can't wait to see what you create!

Sketch N Scrap's Queen of Hearts crop!!!!

Happy weekend!  I hope your weekend has included at least a little crafty time!  We are cropping again over at Sketch N Scrap!  We started our Queen of Hearts Crop yesterday and today I am sharing Challenge #2 with our croppers!  Today's challenge is to create a card using Sketch #19- here is the sketch:

And here is my card using this fun sketch:
Supplies Used: cardstock: Stampin' Up- whisper white & basic black; Patterned Paper: Echo Park Just be You; enamel dots: Elle's Studio; doily: Stampin' Up; sticker: Simple Stories Romance; punch: heart- Stampin' Up; glitter paper- CTMH.

I had so much fun creating this card using ALL SCRAPS!!  I really wanted to use this sticker I had left over from my February ScrapRoom kit featuring the Simple Stories Romance line and since I didn't have any paper from that collection left over I was happy to find the scraps from my Echo Park Just Be You collection coordinated perfectly!  I also had this heart left from a previous Valentine's Day card I made last week, so this card came to together very quickly.  I love how it turned out and most of all I know I will be using this fun sketch again real soon!  You could use a heart, star, or really ANY shape to replace the doily!  I hope you will join us at the Queen of Hearts Crop this month, it's going on until February 28th so there is still plenty of time to play along!!  Hope to see you in the crop room!

Scrapbooks on the Go Crop!

I took a little vacation last week not only from my IRL job but from scrapping to go visit my newest little nephew. I will post some pics soon, haven't had much time to edit my photos as once I got home I dove right into some DT work as well as getting ready for my SKETCHES 101 class this Saturday in Hurst TX!! If you are local and want to attend there are still a few spaces left AND we still have crop spaces too! Above is a sneekie peekie at one of the sketches we will be using for my class. We are going to be making layouts AND cards using some of my very own sketches! If you like sketches, or you want to learn how to use sketches OR if you don't even know what a sketch is, you will just LOVE this class! We are going to have a great time and I might even give away a prize! Now, if you can't come to the class but can come crop that's fine, OR if you aren't local feel free to use the sketch and post a link to your layout in the comments section, I might feel inclined to give away a prize to one blog participant as well! If you decide to register for the class or crop email Shelly at Scrapbooks On the Go and mention my blog (MY CREATIVE ENDEAVORS) as she will be giving a special discount to my blog readers! YEAH! Hope to see you there!

Friday's Featured Blogger

Wow! This week has flown by. I didn't get much creating done until last night when I finished a layout except for the journaling, which I hope to finish after work and take a picture of so I can post it tomorrow or tonight. What I did get done was A LOT of organization. I literally cleaned out my ENTIRE scraproom. I got everything cleared out I no longer wanted and posted to ebay. Which by the way has almost all sold and is no longer in my house! YEAH! I really made nothing on most of it, but then I would have given it away if someone wanted to come haul it off! LOL! I just wanted it out of my room and into the arms of someone who will enjoy it and use it, so right now there are several scrapbookers who are so excited to have new stuff at a BARGAIN price to play with. And it's out of my house, I made a few bucks for my upcoming vacation, paid my ebay and paypal fees and now I can get back to creating, what I love the most! It is just in time too Personalscrapper is having an online crop this weekend and I am planning on doing several of the 16 challenges. Stop and crop with us if you want to, just go here to sign up!
Now, on to Friday's featured blogger. Today we are featuring Tanya at Moment Captured. Her motto is "It's the little things that matter most", how true isn't it. I love her simple style that lets her photos shine through, and shows me that you can create a lovely page without spending hours doing so. I stumbled upon her blog when she was announced as one of the new DT members over at 52 sketches. So hop on over and check out her blog, you can see a few of my fav layouts here and here. Enjoy!

Cropping the Night Away!

Ok, I don't have as much to show as I would have liked...I did get one layout totally done and two more started..long story, but sometimes I get blocked on a layout and I will just put it up and then go on to another one, so right now I have two unfinished layouts on my desk. I did my Christmas decorations down outside though, and that was a good thing as it was over 80 here yesterday and I knew it was going to be around 40 for a high today and windy, so I didn't have as much time to crop as I would have liked. My friend Angie was able to join me for a bit though and we had fun chatting and cropping. Today I wasn't able to play as we went to the King Tut exhibit in Dallas at the Musuem of Art. It was EXCELLENT, but don't have really any pics to show as they are not allowed, but it was very interesting and we went with some good friends which made it even more fun. I would highly recommend it if you get a chance to see it when it comes to a city near you. But, as I always say, one layout is better than no layouts, so I am pleased to have finished one. I used a sketch from Valerie Salmon again, this is sketch #24 and I really like the way it turned out. I did this for the birthday challenge for the AC Bailey online crop, where we were to scrap a birthday layout using at least 3 pics. I used the Grafton line from Scenic Route and alphabet stickers from Chatterbox (orange) and American Crafts (brown). So wish me luck on staying up late tonight and finishing off these other two layouts...I'm gonna try but not sure how far I will get as I am planning on watching some of the playoff games at the same time. Have a nice rest of the weekend and tune in for more scrappy goodness next week!

Got Sketch 102 coming to an end

Here is a layout I did for the Animals R Us challenge during the Personalscrapper crop, but I based this layout on a sketch by Valerie Salomon on her blog GOT SKETCH. Here blog is awesome and having been a fan for awhile so I decided to sign up for her class GOT SKETCH 102. I was not disappointed, I have been scrapbooking for a LONG time and I still learned a bunch of things. I met a lot of nice and creative ladies and had a great time. The good thing about this class is you don't HAVE to complete the assignments in any order or time frame, the class will be up for a while yet so you can still go sign up, I will MOST definitely be signing up for any future classes! I plan on completing a few of the sketches I haven't gotten to this weekend. This is a fast way to get awesome looking layouts in a short amount of time! The above layout features a memory page of my cat Snuggles and in the journaling I included a poem given to me by the vet after she passed. I had met to share the finished layout for my Git R Done Wednesday task as well, but I forgot to pick up the remaining pics I had printed out for it, so it is still 3/4 of the way done, but it now has a title and one pic on it! HA! I WILL get it done, sometimes life(or a senior moment) just gets in the way!

More sharing from the crop

Here is another layout I did during the Personalscrapper crop this last weekend. This was another sketch challenge and it, as you can see, is a very versatile sketch, one I know I will continue to change up and use often. I just love these silly photos of Jake and his good friend Logan. They are growing up yet they still are little boys on the inside, even if they don't want their Moms to see that, so its fun to see them act so silly together! On a different note, don't forget to watch QVC tomorrow as its Count Down to Christmas, only 91 days left folks! Better get started on those holiday projects now! I have started one, I'd love to share but that would ruin the surprise for that special someone who may be seeing this, so sorry but you'll have to wait til after Christmas so we don't ruin Mari's fun Christmas surprise! I wanted to share my Git 'R Done Wednesday project as well, but I didn't get enough time to finish it as I had a meeting for church, but it is more done than yesterday..so maybe I can share tomorrow! Catch ya later!

Personalscrapper crop

It's not too late folks to join in the fun over at Personalscrapper, they are having a super fun crop that started on Friday the 19th and runs until Tuesday the 23rd. I say super fun because there are 17 challenges for you to participate in. I didn't have a ton of time this weekend to devote to cropping but I managed to squeeze in a bit LOL! Here are some of the layouts I got done: for the journaling challenge I did this fun page using the May 2008 Personalscrapper kit. Erica picks out the best kits, filled with all the latest and greatest goodies, I highly recommend them! I used a picture of Jakob taken on our duck feeding excursion last week. For the second page I used the same kit but this is based on the sketch for one of the challenges. The best thing about this page is I used up some stickers I got in 1999 from a class I took at the Great American Scrapbook convention! I plan on squeezing in some more cropping tonite during our Monday nite football time so check back tomorrowto see what I get done!
