Sketch N Scrap #184

Happy Monday!  It's a new week and that brings us a new round of fun challenges in the collaboration between Sketch N Scrap & Cookin' Up Creations!  Today it's my turn to offer up the challenge for the online 8th Birthday Bash crop at Sketch N Scrap! Here is the sketch we will be using for today's challenge:

Here is my layout based on Sketch #184:
Supplies Used: Cardstock: Stampin' Up- Pale Plum & Blackberry Bliss; Patterned Paper: My Mind's Eye (background), Pink Paislee Truly Grateful by Paige Taylor Evans; chipboard: (fox & flowers) Cozy Up by the Hip Kit Club; ephemera: Pink Paislee Horizon (tag), Pretty Little Studio Indian Summer (wreath) & Pink Paislee Truly Grateful (Hello); epoxy word/shapes: American Crafts Thickers Truly Grateful.
I dug into some Fall goodness for this layout!  I have been hoarding some of the Paige Taylor Evans Truly Grateful things as they are so pretty!! However, I know if I keep hoarding stuff it will leave no room for new stuff so I'm committed to start using it!! I loved how this newer line went so well with this older piece of paper from My Mind's Eye!  This color scheme is just delightful don't you think?  I really do love Fall colors the best!!  I hope you will join us in our online crop at Sketch N Scrap or in the Mad About Sketches challenges at Cookin' Up Creations!  Have a blessed and creative day!

My Favorite card sketch from Sketch N Scrap!

Happy Sunday friends!! It's another day in our month long 8th birthday bash celebration at Sketch N Scrap and this month we are revealing the design teams TOP 8 sketches over the past 8 years!! The design team has picked their top 4 card sketches and their top 4 layout sketches from the past 8 years and we are revealing them one by one this month in our online crop.  Today was my turn to reveal my favorite card sketch from the past 8 years of sketches.  I picked card sketch #144!!  I have used this sketch numerous times and know I will continue to do so!  Here is the sketch:

Here is the card I created based on this sketch:
Supplies Used: Cardstock: Stampin' Up Whisper White; patterned papers: October Afternoon Cherry Hill, Simple Stories Domestic Bliss, & Carta Bella Oh Happy Day; doily: Unknown source; ephemera: Pebbles Along the Way; ink: Memento Black Tuxedo; stamp: Stampin' Up Simply Sketched
I just love doilies, so I think this is one of the reasons I love this sketch!! For this card I just dug into the scrap paper pile on my desk to find colors to match this ephemera piece I wanted to use on my card, it came together so fast and easy! Another reason I love this sketch is that you get a great look in very little time!!  Do you have an all time favorite go to sketch for layouts or for cards?  If you do share it with me, I'd love to give it a try!!  Make sure and head over to Sketch N Scrap's online crop to see what other sketches the DT chose as their favorites!!  We are cropping until May 31st so there is still plenty of time to join in the fun!!  Happy creating!

Happy Birthday Sketch N Scrap!!

Today we are celebrating Sketch N Scrap's 8th birthday with an exclusive birthday bash sketch designed by yours truly!!  Here is the sketch:

Here is my layout using the sketch:
Supplies Used: Cardstock: White by Bazzill; Patterned Paper: Echo Park Petticoats & Pinstripes; stickers: Petticoat & Pintstripes & Birthday Wishes; Letter Stickers: Petticoats & Pinstripes, bling: Queen & Co

I thought this sketch would work perfectly for these pictures of my friend's cute little granddaughter on her second birthday!! I loved this line mostly for the "vintage" vibe it has! This isn't a birthday collection but since it included this cute cake I knew I could make it work for my theme and for my photos! I have been using up a lot of old stash lately and have had a lot of fun "shopping" my stash.  It wasn't that I didn't still like these older things, it's that I just never had time to use it all! So far in 2020 I haven't bought anything new except for one PhotoPlay Quarantine collection, and that was even on sale and a very small paper collection, hopefully I will be using it soon in some projects!!  Make sure and head over to the Sketch N Scrap blog to see what the amazing DT has done with this sketch, it's sure to inspire you! Happy creating!!
