August 20th throwback sketch challenge @ Sketch N Scrap

TGIF!!  The month is coming to a close but I was able to squeeze in one more challenge before the month ends!!  Sketch N Scrap is having a throwback card challenge for their August 20th challenge and I had to join in the fun!!

 I love how this layout turned out!  I how this color palette screams Summer!  Everything used for this layout is from my August Stash Bash kit except for two additional scraps I found in my scrap pile (the multi plaid and pink circles) that I thought matched back to my main papers perfectly! This is my granddaughter playing with sidewalk chalk one afternoon this past Summer.  I had the honor to watch her this Summer while her Mom worked and we had fun having Grammy camp!!  I hope you will find time to join us at Sketch N Scrap this month!!  We can't wait to see what you create!!

August 20th throwback sketch challenge @ Sketch N Scrap

TGIF!!  Summer seems to be flying by and another month is coming to a close but I was able to squeeze in another fun challenge!!  Sketch N Scrap is having a throwback card challenge for the August 20th challenge & I loved the sketches so I thought I'd give it a go!

Supplies Used:  Cardstock: Stampin' Up Whisper White & Strawberry Slush; Patterned Paper: Simple Stories Summer Snapshots & We R Memory Keepers (yellow banner); tag: Simple Stories Summer Snapshots; stickers: PhotoPlay Paper Oh What a Beautiful Day; embossing folder: Stampin' Up; enamel dot: Simple Stories. 

For this card I used throwback card sketch #200 as well as my August Stash Bash kit.  I substituted the small tag from my kit for the circle and added a cute little birdie and a sticker sentiment to create this fast and easy peasy card!!  This makes project #3 using my kit this month, I am on a roll lol!  Let's see if I can create one or two more before the month runs out!! I love the whimsical and brightly colored papers on this card.  I was able to use up some scraps from the layout I created earlier this week which is always nice.  All of these papers and stickers except for the sentiment are from my August Stash Bash kit!  I hope this card or this sketch have inspired you to get creative!!

August 1st sketch @ Sketch N Scrap

Happy Tuesday!   Sketch N Scrap launched a new sketch on August 1st created by yours truly!!  I had fun creating a fun layout using the sketch and my August Stash Bash kit!

 I love how this layout turned out!  Sometimes it is hard to convert the 12 x 12 sketches into a 6 x 8 layout but this one was relatively easy. I used my 6 x 8 paper pad to create this card.  I love these papers but have barely touched this paper pad for some reason!!  These papers are old, but definitely still favs!!

Happy Saturday!!! It's a busy month at Sketch N Scrap as we celebrate 14 years of sharing inspiring sketches with you!  I can't believe I started on this sketch journey 14 years ago this month!! WOW!  What a fun ride it has been!  To celebrate Sketch N Scrap is offering an exclusive sketch each and every Saturday in May!!   So make sure and join us and play along!!

I am still working on the wedding album I started a year and a half ago for my DIL's twin sister!  I am almost finished with it, but it has been a slow process for sure as I get tired of working on it and take long breaks!!  I do love how it turned out, and was pleasantly surprised I liked the end results as I normally do not like to use circles on my layouts, but it is fun to challenge yourself sometimes, don't you think??

I love Doodlebug Designs for their bright colors and fun patterns, this plaid paper is one of my favs and I have almost used up this whole 6 x 6 paper pad!!  All these supplies are so old, but definitely still favs!!  What are some of your fav manufacturers?

 I love how this layout turned out!  I loved this patterned paper with all the squares but was having a hard time getting it to work on this small format layout, so I decided to cut out the squares and piece them together as faux patterned paper!  I love how it ended up looking! This is my granddaughter showing off her new strawberry sunglasses last Spring!  The pictures aren't the best but the main thing is capturing the memory, it's hard to snap a picture of a two year old!!  I hope you will find time to join us at Sketch N Scrap this month!!  We can't wait to see what you create!!

I was able to use up some left over stickers as well as some scraps from my May 2020 Flavors of the Month kit. This kit is almost used up and I have moved the remaining scraps and stickers into my scraps bin, it feels good to make more room in my stash!  These pictures of my friend and her granddaughter were a perfect fit for this collection!  I hope you will find time to join us at Sketch N Scrap this month!!  We can't wait to see what you create!!

I made this card for a special someone who loves to sew!  I love how it turned out and hope she will love it too when I give it to her on her birthday!
