Atlantic Hearts Challenge Sketch #283

Good evening!  The month is winding down but I was able to get some creative time in today and create a layout I will share next week as well as a few cards!  This card is my first Fall card of the Season!  I created it based on the Atlantic Hearts sketch challenge for this week base off of sketch #283.  Here is the sketch:

And here is my card created using the sketch:
Supplies Used: Cardstock: Vanilla & Cajun Craze- Stampin' Up & brown-Bazzill; embossing folder -Stampin' Up; Patterned Paper: PhotoPlay Fall Breeze (October ScrapRoom kit); stickers: PhotoPlay Fall Breeze (October ScrapRoom kit); sequin- CTMH; leaf punch: McGill; circle punch: Stampin' Up; ink: CTMH Cocoa
I plan on sending this card to a friend of mine for her birthday next month!  I hope she likes it!  I thought this sticker was the perfect sentiment for a "you are getting older" birthday card!  I love working with Fall colors!  So glad it's that time of year again, even if the weather doesn't feel like it! Make sure and head over to the Atlantic Hearts sketch Challenge blog to see what the other DT members and participants did with this fun sketch!  Happy creating!

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #279

Happy Sunday!  The weekend is winding down and I was so blessed to have some fun crafty time this weekend!  I decided to play along with the fun sketch over at the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge Blog yesterday!
 Here is the fun sketch:

Here is the card I created using the sketch:
Supplies Used: Cardstock: black- Bazzill from the September FOTM ScrapRoom kit; Patterned Paper: Pretty Little Studio Savannah Dreams- from the September FOTM ScrapRoom kit; sticker: "Be Younique" Simple Stories Dream Big- from the September FOTM ScrapRoom kit; butterfly: Pretty Little Studio Savannah Dreams from the September FOTM ScrapRoom kit; Hello word: Pretty Little Studio Savannah Dreams from the September Embellishment kit at The ScrapRoom; journal card- source unknown from my stash; card base: CTMH- from my stash.
I absolutely love how this card turned out, the bright colors, the adorable butterfly and whimsical journal card all worked so well together and with this sketch!  This journal card is SUPER old, I don't even know where I got it.  I found it at the bottom of a drawer when I was cleaning and purging last month and stuck it in my BASHKET to try and use it up, so glad I did, it really adds a lot to this card!!  To learn more about my "BASHKET" which is a basket with old stash items I am trying to "bash" or use up, go HERE.  Make sure and hop over to the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge Blog to see what other amazing projects the DT and participants have created with this fun sketch!  And to see the absolutely adorable September kit at The ScrapRoom visit the ScrapRoom store!  Happy creating friends!

Happy Sunday!  I had a fun creative day yesterday creating some cards and scrapbook layouts!  Some of the things I created I will be sharing in upcoming weeks but one card I created for fun!  Working towards my goal to participate in 3 fun challenges each month!  I participated in the Atlantic Hearts Sketch challenge last month and loved it! I've been following along with their sketches and dreaming of playing along since the beginning of the month and finally found time to do it!! Yay!  Here is the sketch (#272):

Atlantic Hearts sketch #264

The weekend just flew by didn't it?  I know that even though I spent a few hours each day at my craft desk, it wasn't near enough!!  Of course, it never is, is it?!!  If you remember my monthly goal was to complete 3 challenges I had never participated in before!  So today I was able to check the second challenge off my list!  Today I am participating in the Atlantic Hearts Sketch challenge!  Here's the sketch:

Here is my card using the sketch:
Supplies Used: Cardstock: Charcoal & White- CTMH; Patterned Paper: CTMH Make Waves; Ink: Black- CTMH; Markers: Shin Han- CTMH; stamp: Puny Pals- CTMH; circle die: Stampin' Up; sentiment: unknown source
I had a lot of fun getting out of my comfort zone with this sketch! It was a bit different with a lot of "white" space which is always a challenge for me, but I love how it turned out!  This card is actually going to be a birthday card for my niece who loves cats, but the kicker is, her birthday isn't until November lol!  So I am WAY ahead of the game, which does not happen often with me!  😏 I also was able to use up one more item out of my BASHket!!  The sentiment was in a random kit I got in a class YEARS ago and I found it while cleaning and purging and stuck it in my BASHket in hopes of using it!  So glad to finally use it!  It's cute so not sure why I never used it before!  I also was able to use my Puny Pals stamp set that I had bought and never used!  I accomplished a lot with this one card:
 1) complete 3 new to me challenges ✅✅
2) use up an item in my 10 items in my BASHket ✅✅✅✅✅
3) Use 3 stamp sets I have never used yet ✅✅
Things are looking good goal wise this month...I really want to buy myself a reward!! It's month 5 and I have yet to hit a goal!  I know this is my month!  I hope you will check out the Atlantic Hearts challenges, they have some very inspiring projects created by their DT! I learned about this challenge by reading my friend Lori's blog, she is one of the DT members and I always drool over her work but never make time to play along with all the fun challenges she shares!  Happy creating friends!
