WOW!
Now for my challenge!! Here is this month's sketch:

Now for Lori's challenge:

Lori's challenge is perfect for March, just use GREEN anywhere on your spread!!
Here is my spread using both the sketch and Lori's challenge:

Supplies Used: Washi Tape: Crate Paper; Patterned Paper: Echo Park Creative Agenda(greenish), Stampin' Up (mustard dot), & Simple Stories Posh (floral); PL style card: The Reset Girl; hexie embellishment: The Reset Girl;  tag: Fancy Pants; stickers (scissors, flower & word strip): Simple Stories Hey Crafty Girl; letter stickers: Authentique (small black) & American Crafts Thickers (blue); twine: Lawn Fawn.
This month I am documenting my recent crafty girls trip to Round Top, Texas where we stayed at the Lone Star Glamp Inn.  This was my fourth trip there and it gets better each and every time!!
A few close ups:
It looks a bit blue in this picture but the paper I chose is what I would consider a mint green, so here is one place I used green!  I decided to use this fun sticker that says "crafting keeps me sane" instead of a piece of washi at the top of the picture as shown in the sketch.  I also added a tag for some journaling as well, which wasn't included in the sketch, however, if I could redo the sketch I think I would add in the tag, I like how it looks!  I will probably add some journaling below my picture once I figure out exactly what I want to say!

Another close up:
Instead of another picture I chose to use this super adorable and fun cut apart card from The Reset Girl (although I am not sure what collection it is from).  I love sweet Sammy and how she is peeking out over the top of the added mustard dot paper!  For another touch of green I added a green flower from Simple Stories Hey Crafty Girl.  I used a black polka dot strip of washi instead of paper in my title work.  I also added this cute pair of scissors from the Hey Crafty Girl collection by Simple Stories.

Simple Stories Hey Crafty Girl ~ January Flavors of the month kit @ The ScrapRoom!

Good evening!  Today I am sharing another layout using the absolutely diving January Flavors of the Month kit from The ScrapRoom!  Here is the full kit:

Here is the Simple Stories Hey Crafty Girl mini kit I used for today's layout:

Here is the layout I created with this amazing collection:

Supplies Used:  Patterned Paper: Simple Stories Hey Crafty Girl- from the kit; ephemera: Simple Stories Hey Crafty Girl - from the kit; Stickers: Simple Stories Hey Crafty Girl- from the kit & embellishment kit; enamel hearts: from the kit; enamel dot: My Mind's Eye- from my stash
When I saw all the fun crafty embellishments in this kit I knew I just had to use it for this picture of the first time I met Cori Spieker The Reset Girl!  I was so excited to meet her in person and check off one of my scrappy bucket list items!  It was a dream come true!!  I had originally learned about The Reset Girl when while at The Scrapbook Expo a friend purchase The Reset Girl line from Simple Stories.  I decided I was on a spending freeze and didn't purchase it at that time...however, after seeing the cute stuff my friend did with the cute birdie paper and embellishments I really wanted it so I googled it trying to locate some (which was tricky since it was retired) and that's when I found The Reset Girl You Tube channel...I watched all of her videos on her channel and was HOOKED!!  Imagine my excitement when just a few short months later I found out she was coming to The Little Blue House, a scrapbook store near me! WOW! I was over the moon and determined to go to her class.  Before I could sign up for the first 2 classes they sold out, I was so disappointed.  THEN low and behold a third class opened up and I was able to secure myself a spot!! I consider myself one of The Reset Girl's biggest fans and just love her heart and her passion for encouraging and engaging women in the crafting world!  I've since been able to attend 3 of her retreats and love each one and hope to go on more in the future!  Make sure and hop on over to the ScrapRoom blog see all the amazing projects the DT created with this awesome line! Happy creating!

I participated in Camp Wanna Craft this Summer and it was SOOO much fun!! Camp Wanna Craft is a virtual crafty camp put on by The Reset Girl and her creative team.  Everything is in one big forum where you can join "cabins" of like minded campers (I joined a Texas gals cabin), post and share your projects to inspire others, answer questions of the day to get to know other campers, and learn TONS of new techniques through instructional videos.  I participated with old friends and made some new friends!  We had a camp "handbook" to guide us and made a junk journal within our camp handbook using techniques we learned during camp!  I had fun decorating my "cabin" at home which was the desk in my kitchen. Having a fun decorated space made creating fun and more relaxing!  We even had movie nights (we watched movies together virtually), a face mask night, chapel time and some really fun lives on Facebook where we were able to craft together virtually! My spread for this challenge documents my "cabin".  I used a bunch of the printables from The Reset Girl from the Camp Wanna Craft collection on my spread....those super cute journaling tags were part of that collection and I just love them!!  I am sure you will be seeing more of my camp pictures in upcoming spreads!!
Here are a few close ups:

Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style sketch #110

Happy Hump Day!!  Last night I had fun working on my bible study note book!  I am doing a study with a friend of the book of James for the next 5 weeks.  I am keeping my notes in my Faithful Girl notebook that I made at the Reset Girl's Glamping retreat back in March.  Here is the cover of my notebook:
This cover was printed on clear sticker paper and was sized to fit a composition notebook.  We then just peeled off the back of the sticker and stuck it to the front of a composition notebook...there is a plain pink back as well and we used that for the back of the notebook...it turned out so adorable!  You can download this cover HERE.
For my intro page of my notes I wanted to add a Project Life card to the upper left of the page, so I turned to my favorite site for sketches for Project Life Cards...Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style and used their current sketch #110.  Here is the sketch by Emma:

Here is my card based on the sketch:

Here is my finished layout for James Chapter 1 using my finished card:
I used a bunch of scraps for this spread as well as a few of my Reset Girl Faith kit stickers and washi tape!  It is fun to use pretty paper, stamps, washi and stickers to decorate your notes!  I am working on Chapter 2 this week.  If you are looking for a good study, I highly recommend Francis Chan's Study of James, he is a great speaker and explains it in everyday terms!  Make sure and check out what the DT did using this sketch, some very creative projects on the Sketches In Thyme Project Lifestyle blog!!  Happy creating!

Let's go Glamping!

A few weeks ago I was so blessed to be able to share an amazing weekend with a wonderful group of ladies!  My BFF and I went GLAMPING!!  So you have never glamped before?  Well, you are missing out! We stayed at a unique and amazing venue called the Lone Star Glamp Inn...here are some pictures of this unique and amazing place:
 Scout- the party girl
 Nora- Blue Eyes
 Debra's Vintage Rose
 Punkie's Place
 The Outlaw
 The Hen House
 Peekabo Pinkie
The view looking down towards our glamper the Lazy Daisy
Our glamper The Lazy Daisy!
This place is spectacular and words cannot adequately describe it's vintage vibe, unique feel and just plain coziness!  You have to see it in person to believe it!  They have not only glampers (vintage campers) but also they have these adorable wigwams (teepees)!  It was a random drawing when we arrived to see what glamper or wigwam we would get and we were super thrilled to get the Lazy Daisy!!! Here we are in our new home away from home

Here is a peek at the inside:
As you can see it is nice and COZY!!

Here we are enjoying the outside of our glamper, relaxing on a beautiful indoor evening!

Besides great food, making new friends and relaxing and unwinding we enjoyed an amazing faithful weekend learning and being inspired by a beautiful faith filled sister in Christ.....THE RESET GIRL,  Cori Spieker!!  I had met Cori in person once prior to this event and I loved her sweet soul and I could tell she loved the Lord from the minute I met her, but it was beyond amazing to spend a WHOLE WEEKEND with her! She inspired me to grow in my faith and not only was my soul fed by her sharing her crafting talent with us but I was also blessed to hear her encouraging message to us and see her work her crafty magic in person!  It truly was inspiring! I am not lying when I say it was  faithful food for my tired/hungry soul! Here we are with Cori in front of the Lazy Daisy:
And here I am with Cori and my commonplace notebook I made.
This event was put on by Crafty Destinations and while I did not get my picture taken with Paula the owner and operator of Crafty Destinations and head Glamper Girl I cannot say enough about her servant's heart!  You must attend one of her events, you won't be sorry!!  Next time I will get my picture taken with this sweet lady!! For those of you who are wondering what is a faithful girl retreat...well it's hard to describe but it's a bunch of Jesus loving ladies who love to get crafty!  We shared encouragement, crafty supplies, crafty techniques and so much more! In the 2 classes we learned how to make dividers and subdividers for our planners, we made a commonplace notebook and learned how to use the awesome faith planner inserts we got as part of our class kit!  To learn more about Cori's faithful girl workshops go HERE.  You can see the faithful girl planner inserts HERE.  I will share my commonplace book and my planner soon! I feel so blessed to have been able to take part in such an inspirational weekend as this and plan to go glamping again soon!  I met some amazing ladies who continue to inspire me with their creativity and love of the Lord! Happy crafting and if your a planner girl stay tuned for more planner stuff!!
