Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style sketch #110

Happy Hump Day!!  Last night I had fun working on my bible study note book!  I am doing a study with a friend of the book of James for the next 5 weeks.  I am keeping my notes in my Faithful Girl notebook that I made at the Reset Girl's Glamping retreat back in March.  Here is the cover of my notebook:
This cover was printed on clear sticker paper and was sized to fit a composition notebook.  We then just peeled off the back of the sticker and stuck it to the front of a composition notebook...there is a plain pink back as well and we used that for the back of the notebook...it turned out so adorable!  You can download this cover HERE.
For my intro page of my notes I wanted to add a Project Life card to the upper left of the page, so I turned to my favorite site for sketches for Project Life Cards...Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style and used their current sketch #110.  Here is the sketch by Emma:

Here is my card based on the sketch:

Here is my finished layout for James Chapter 1 using my finished card:
I used a bunch of scraps for this spread as well as a few of my Reset Girl Faith kit stickers and washi tape!  It is fun to use pretty paper, stamps, washi and stickers to decorate your notes!  I am working on Chapter 2 this week.  If you are looking for a good study, I highly recommend Francis Chan's Study of James, he is a great speaker and explains it in everyday terms!  Make sure and check out what the DT did using this sketch, some very creative projects on the Sketches In Thyme Project Lifestyle blog!!  Happy creating!

Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style sketch #92

Good morning!  I am SUPER late getting my project posted for this sketch!  December is flying by and taking me with it in a whirlwind!! I can't seem to keep up!  I have been busy creating behind the scenes but then forget to come share with everyone!  There is a fun and amazing sketch up on the Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style blog that I know you will want to play along with!  The sketch is by the talented Emma Prescott!  Here is her sketch:

Here is my card created with the sketch:
Supplies Used: Cardstock: Basic Black by Stampin' Up!; Patterned Paper: Simple Stories & Stampin' Up!; letter stickers: Pebbles; stamps: Heidi Swapp date stamp & letter stamps by Stampin' Up- Rough Edges; sticker: black/white with heart by Recollections; ink: Memento Tuxedo Black

I am doing the Faithful Girl challenges over at the Reset Girls' Faithful Life Club and keeping all my journaled verses in a 6 x 8 album from CTMH.  This is going to be the card to kick off week #2 challenges!  I am not doing to shabby with keeping up all things considered but the month is only 1/2 over with lol!  This month the theme is CHERISH- you are cherished thus my title on the card!  The verses for the challenges all go along with this theme.  I haven't finished the other 3 cards for this week's spread yet but you are guaranteed they will be using sketches from the Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style blog!!  This week's spread is all 3 x 4 cards like this one.  I hope you will join us this month at Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style or at least visit the blog and see what fun creations the other DT members are sharing!  Stay creative friends!

Sketches in Thyme- Project Lifestyle sketch #90

I am having so much fun with the sketches over at the Sketches in Thyme Project Lifestyle blog!  Have you checked it out yet?  I have enjoyed doing some "Project Life" style pocket scrapbooking layouts but this time around I had been working on my faith planner and was inspired to create a layout for that!  Here is the amazing sketch by Emma Prescott:

Here is my 4 x 6 "card" created with the sketch:

Here is my completed 6 x 8 layout for my faith planner.  I am using a CTMH everyday album that has 6 x 8 page proctors in it.  I also plan on adding some just plain pages that include a spot for prayer lists and sermon notes as well.
Supplies Used: Cardstock: Whisper White by Stampin' Up; Patterned Paper: Illustrated Faith She Blooms; Sticker (flower): Illustrated Faith She Blooms; Letter Stickers: Illustrated Faith (pink), Basic Grey (small); embossing folder: Sizzix; enamel heart: Teresa Collins; quote sticker (be fearless)- Illustrated Faith; washi tape: Queen & Co (yellow)

I had so much using this sketch, it made my project so  much easier! If you are not a pocket page scrapbooker and think this site isn't for you, you may want to reconsider, there are so many possibilities with these smaller scale version sketches- cards, embellishments, journaling cards for your traditional scrapbook layouts, planners etc...the list can go on as far as your imagination can dream!!!  I have always been so interested in Bible jounaling by fount it to not be for me (I just can't doodle in my Bible!) and so when I found Cori Spieker's  (The Reset Girl) videos on You Tube I was entranced with her planners, listing, traveler's notebooks etc.  I attended one of her classes and was HOOKED!  Finally, a way to use my scrapbooking/crafting supplies and study my scripture! I am also having fun with her lists and list prompts and have also started a traveler's notebook!  I will share that soon!  I may not be doing everything the way my pal Cori does it but I am putting my own twist on it and having fun with it, which is what is the most important!  I hope to bring you more of my traveler's notebook lists and faith planner soon, so stay tuned!  Don't forget to check out what the other DT members did with the sketch at the Sketches in Thyme Project Lifestyle blog! Be creative friends!
