March Flavors of the Month kit at The ScrapRoom!

Happy Monday!  I hope your March is off to a good start! I am super excited to share The ScrapRoom March Flavors of the Month kit with you this month!  Here is the full kit:
Here is the Crate Paper Sunny Days kit I used on today's layout:

Here is my layout using this amazing kit:
Supplies Used: Cardstock: Ivory- from the kit; Patterned Paper: Crate Paper Sunny Days- from the kit; epoxy stickers: Crate Paper Sunny Days- from the kit; bling: Crate Paper- from the kit; sticker (bird) : Crate Paper Sunny Days- from the embellishment kit
I love the beachy feel to these amazing papers and embellishments!  They were perfect for these photos of my friend's family on their beach vacation!  If you have some Summer or beach photos this kit would be a perfect match!  This layout was based on Sketch #157 by the talented Heather Hall at Sketch N Scrap!  I created this layout for Challenge #4 at the Go Green March Crop at Sketch N Scrap! Here is the sketch:

The twist for this challenge is to fussy cut an embellishment to use on your layout!  I chose to fussy cut these incredible pinwheel flowers from one of the beautiful patterned papers! I think they made the perfect flowers for my  layout! The Go Green crop last all month long! We sure hope you can join us at our crop!
Make sure and hop on over to The ScrapRoom blog as well and check out the other amazing layouts the DT has created with the March Flavors of the Month kit!  Happy creating!

SNS's Queen of Hearts crop!

Happy Monday!  The Queen of Hearts Crop is in full swing over at the SNS Facebook page!  Today it's my turn to host a challenge!  My challenge is to make a card using Card Sketch #43 from 2015 and to use this recipe on  your card: A heart, a flower, and the color red!
Here is the sketch:

Here is my card created using the sketch & the recipe challenge:
Supplies Used: card base: CTMH; patterned paper: Simple Stories Kissing Booth; ephemera: Crate Paper La La Love (sentiment and large heart) and Simple Stories Kissing Booth (flower).
This card came together SUPER easy!  I loved this beautiful big glittered heart that came from the ephemera included in my February Flavors of the Month kit from The ScrapRoom and I knew it was perfect for this sketch!! Just a bit of bling added with the gorgeous glitter around the edges of the heart!  I hope you will play along with this challenge and come join our crop!  It's an online crop that is open ALL month long so plenty of time to play along and you can work at your own pace from the comfort of  your own home!!  More details can be found on our crop page, make sure and visit at least to be inspired by all the amazing projects crop goers have submitted!!  Happy creating!

SNS's New Beginnings Crop!

Good Monday morning friends! We started the New Year off right with a crop over on the Sketch N Scrap Facebook page on the 4th and it is in full swing!  We are having so much fun cropping together and hope you will join us!  Today is my turn to host a challenge!

For my challenge I picked this fun sketch by Heather:
We are adding a new TWIST to our sketch based crop challenges this year which is so fun!  My twist is to use ink/paint on your layout in some fashion!!
Here is my layout:

Supplies Used: Patterned Paper: Scenic Route (grid background) & Echo Park Head over Heels; stickers: Echo Park Head Over Heels; dies: CTMH heart & stitched circles thin cuts; ink: CTMH (red & pink) & Stampin' Up (blue- soft sky); stamp set (for ink splats): Stampin' Up Gorgeous Grunge; rhinestone: Queen & Co; enamel hearts: Crate Paper.
I loved this sketch and the fun ink splats on it!  I decided to rotate the sketch to accommodate the picture I wanted to use.  I like using ink when I have a lot of "white" space to make the white space a little less "white" and little more to my style as white space always makes me feel as if my layout is lacking something!!  I see so many designers who are masters of white space and just LOVE their layouts but when I try to use more white space I always end up not liking it lol!  This layout was fun to make I have reset my 100 papers for the New Year (more on that in an upcoming post soon!) and I decided to start the New Year off by using up some of them.  For this layout I used 1 piece of paper and 1 item from my Bashket (enamel hearts).  I hope you will join us over on the Sketch N Scrap Facebook page and crop with us this month!  The crop is going on until January 31st at midnight CST so there is lots of time to play along!  Happy creating!!!!
