Happy sketch day!  Here is the second awesome sketch for April by the very talented Brenshevia:

cardstock: Bazzill; Alphas: Doodlebug, Paper Trunk, and American Craft Thickers.

I am totally petrified of doing paint splatters on my layouts, thus this layout is free of the splatters shown on the sketch.  It is just to random for me, I have tried it and then ended up hating my layout, so those of you that can do it and make it look awesome and random, I bow down to your creative greatness!  These pics were taken at our favorite watering hole a few years back, we have so many pics from this same place and we always have a blast!  I was so glad to finally use up some more of my stash, I loved this paper line but didn't get too much of it for some reason, but enough to do a few layouts anyway!  I hope you will join us at Sketch N Scrap this month as you still have until the 30th of April to complete layouts from our two sketches!   Happy Scrapping!

So, did anyone pull a prank on you today?  Not me, I was ready for them, no one was going to fool me! lol! Oh, they tried, but they didn't succeed no one was able to pull a fast one on me...nope, not today...hope they don't try another day when my guard is down! lol!  Of course, I wouldn't even try to pull a prank on my  blog followers, so here is a fun sketch for you to play along with :

This is my cutie nephew when he was just 2, messing around and being goofy!  He is such a fun little boy! Can't believe it is time for another sketch again! Wow, where is the time going? Daylight Savings Time kind of had me lagging this week, but I think I am back on track again!  Here is the second Sketch N Scrap sketch for March designed by Brenshevia:

These pictures are of a recent trip to Casa Manana that my niece and I took to see Rapunzel!  It was a fun time! These pictures are of my son's first attempt at cooking.  We decided to start a new Thanksgiving tradition this year, my son has decided to prepare and bring his own dish to the family dinner each year.  This year he made corn casserole.  We used Paula Deen's recipe you can find HERE. It was very yummy, I think he will be a great chef someday!  Now hop on over to Sketch N Scrap and see what the other DT members did with the sketch.  Some great layouts this time around! These pictures were taken of my nephew at two last August.  Isn't he quite the cowboy?!! Adorable in his cowboy hat and boots!  I tell you this kid is a very good poser, I have never seen a 2 year old pose like he does!  I loved this line by Echo Park- This & That, I bought it last June but haven't even used it much.  Gotta change that!  I hope you will take some time to check out what the other Sketch N Scrap DT members did with the sketch and don't forget there is still time to play along with the sketches

Sketch N Scrap #26

I can't believe it is time for another sketch at Sketch N Scrap!  February got here too fast!  Our sketch this time around is a 5 photo sketch.  I love using as many photos as possible on my layout! Here is the sketch:

I loved this sketch so much I made not one but TWO layouts using it!  The first one as you can see I stuck pretty close to the sketch using snowflakes as my embellishments.

For my second layout I used a variety of embellishments in place of the snowflakes.

It feels so good to use up some older stash!  The Bo Bunny and My Mind's Eye papers have been in my stash for quite some time so I was glad to find photos they worked with! The first layout is of my son during one of our OCTOBER trips to Nebraska a few years back!  Can you believe the amount of snow?  It was in the 90's when we left DFW and was 27 and starting to snow when we landed in Omaha! The second layout is of my nephew and his new ATV ride on toy that he got last summer.  He LOVES that thing!
