TN Time with Lisa & Lori ~ May edition

Happy Sunday and Happy Mother's Day to all you Mom's out there! I hope you are able to get some creative "ME" time on your special day today! Today we are launching another sketch and another fun TN challenge!  So let's get this party started!

HERE IS HOW OUR CHALLENGE WORKS: This is a monthly challenge that launches on the 10th of each month  You will have until the 9th at midnight CST to link up your entries. If you complete my sketch challenge link your TN, bullet journal or planner spread below. If you combined my challenge with Lori's challenge link up your spread here on my blog AND on Lori's Blog (My Happy Life).  You will then have a chance to win my prize as well as Lori's prize!  That's a chance to win TWO times with ONE layout! WOW!
Now for my challenge!! Here is this month's sketch:

Now for Lori's fun challenge:
Since May brings such beautiful flowers this challenge is perfect for this month!! I know we have had such beautiful wildflowers this month and even last month here in Texas! So add some flowers to your layout, either in your picture, paper or embellishments!
Here is my TN spread using BOTH the sketch and Lori's challenge:
Supplies Used: Cardstock: Stampin' Up Night of Navy & Watermelon Wonder; Patterned Paper: Simple Stories So Happy Together; ephemera & stickers: Simple Stories So Happy Together; enamel dots: source unknown
I was able to use up most of the remaining scraps from my November 2019 Flavors of the month kit at the ScrapRoom!  I still have a few very small scraps left and a lot of stickers....I loved this collection and since I had this large word "HOME" in the ephemera that came with my kit I decided to use it up on this spread!  I thought it worked well for this theme!
Here are a few close ups:
You can see for Lori's challenge I used a flower sticker as well as floral paper on my spread!  Can we every get enough flowers???!!!

There was so much I want to say on this spread that I should have left a spot for hidden journaling but I did not...so I had to type it out to make it fit in this small space.  I think I will have to do a second page to include the rest of what I want to say as I ran out of room.  I don't know about you but gosh, what a wild ride the past month has been and although I kind of want to forget most of it, I do want to document this unprecedented time in my life for sure.  I will most likely do another spread about this subject next month as well.  My 2019 TN I documented one fun part of my month and did 12 spreads, one for each month.  I really don't lead to exciting of a life, I'm not a jet setter by any means but my life pre-COVID looks like I am a jet setter compared to my life now lol!  Are you planning to document this part of your journey?

  1. I love this, Lisa! That was one of my favorite collections and I think I still have a little bit of it left. I love that you are documenting this crazy time. I have a list started of layouts I want to make about all that is going on right now - I just need to do it!

  2. Your color mix is terrific! Vibrant! Your interpretation of your own sketch is great and taking time to share this chaotic stressful world is probably good for your soul! Getting opportunities to be creative is like laughter--good medicine.
