Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash 2023 ~ August edition!

Happy August!  Summer is winding down, not the heat part but the kids will be back in school in 2 weeks here in Texas!!  I don't know about you but I'm ready for Fall!  I love starting a new month because that means it's time to launch another fun edition of Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash Adventure! So without further adieu let's kick off the August 2023 edition of Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash 2023!!

How our 2023 challenge works:
On the 1st of each month we will post a challenge prompt and the stash kit we have created using that prompt. During the month we will try to use as much of our stash kits as possible on different projects. New in 2023: We will be placing 10 things in our "bashket" each month.  This "bashket" is progressive meaning at the end of the month we will keep what is in our basket moving into the next month.  Our goal is to use up 10 things or 120 ITEMS from our stash by the end of the year!
Here is an explanation of how the "bashket" will work:

This challenge is a just-for-fun challenge so there is no monthly prize - but isn't the real prize using up our stash?  We hope you will join us in our quest to bash some stash in 2023. If you accept the challenge to play along - link up on either my blog or Lori's Blog (or both if you choose) so that we can see who is joining us each month!

Now for our "recipe" for August!

Now for my August kit!  This month I chose to do one large kit!
Here is my entire kit:
I have decided to go with papers and embellishments using the Simple Stories The Little Things collection. I love the beautiful colors in this line and even though I just purchased is recently, I think I need to use it now instead of hoarding it!

Close up of the "A" sides of the papers:
So many pretty florals to pick from!

Close up of "B" sides of the papers:
I love all the cut apart elements and have plans to use a lot of them in my 6 x 8 album I hope to create with this kit!

My embellishments:
I may have went heavy on the embellishments but I will have plenty of choices for titles and accents! I love how Simple Stories includes a tag cut apart sheet in all their collections!

My stash bash item: ALPHAS:
Most of my alphas are neutral colors as I find if I purchase a specific color like pink it never matches the pink paper I plan to use it with!  So my colors of alphas may appear a bit drab and boring!

Now for my bashket items:
For my bashket items this month I pulled some things that I have sitting in a bin that are random, I don't know where I got them or what line they are from but I do know I have had them for a long while and need to use them up!
HERE IS MY LIST:
1) Sticker sheet from Pink Paislee 5th & Monaco collection
 2) Doodlebug Designs sticker sheet- unknown collection
3) cut apart paper with labels, I plan to fussy cut these and use them!
 4) Guest Check
5) cat ephemera- unknown source.  I plan to use on some birthday cards!
 6) Doodlebug Designs heart sprinkles
  7) plant ephemera piece- unknown source
 8) Pebbles ephemera quote piece
  9) letter board ephemera piece from PhotoPlay Paper
10) Pebbles ephemera piece (purse)- unknown collection.

Here are the rules for 2023:
Each month we will create a kit with 10 or more papers (dig into your stash for new or old papers it's up to  you!), 5-7 scrap papers (let's keep those scrap piles under control!), 3-4 embellishments (new or old- you decide), and a stash bash item!  This month's stash bash item is ALPHAS!!
1. Follow the challenge prompt to create a kit to work with throughout the month. You may use other items, but try to concentrate on using your kit.
2. Create new, not previously posted projects using your stash kit.
3. If you have a blog - please include the challenge graphic & a link to our challenge in your posts.
4. You may link to social media if you don't have a blog. If you share on Instagram, please make sure to use - #lisaandlorisgreatstashbash2023
Since this is a just for fun challenge the rules are not set in stone BUT we have them to help you focus on what really matters using your stash!  We also hope you will help spread the word of our fun challenge so others may join in!!  You know you have at least one friend who needs to use her stash!!

I am super excited to dig into my fun kit this month!! I hope you will join Lori and myself as we endeavor to bash some stash!  Remember if you play along make sure and use the hashtag #lisaandlorisgreatstashbash2023.  I can't wait to see your kit!  If you create a kit link up below to share with us all!!  Happy creating!!

Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash 2023 ~ July edition!

Happy July!  Summer is in full swing here in Texas with triple digit heat indexes!!  I'm so excited for a new month because that means it's time to launch another fun edition of Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash Adventure! So without further adieu let's kick off the July 2023 edition of Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash 2023!!

How our 2023 challenge works:
On the 1st of each month we will post a challenge prompt and the stash kit we have created using that prompt. During the month we will try to use as much of our stash kits as possible on different projects. Then, on the last day of the month, we will do a recap post showing what stash we were able to bash!  New in 2023: We will also be placing 10 things in our "bashket" each month.  This "bashket" is progressive meaning at the end of the month we will keep what is in our basket moving into the next month.  Our goal is to use up 10 things or 120 ITEMS from our stash by the end of the year!

Now for our "recipe" for July!

For July I picked two smaller kits as I have 2 different themes I plan on working on this month.
My first July kit:
For this kit I kept it simple as I will be scrapping in a smaller format either 8.5x11 or 6x8 so I won't need a bunch of embellishments.  These papers and stickers are all from the Echo Park Hello Baby collection.  My scraps are from CTMH and My Mind's Eye (woodgrain).

My second July kit:
These papers are from the Echo Park My Favorite Summer collection.  I added some Jillibean Soup alphas, the 12x12 sticker sheet from My Favorite Summer and Echo Park enamel dots as my embellishments.  The scraps are kicking it WAY BACK they are from Scenic Route, Chatterbox and Stampin' Up and are at least all older than 10 years!!

My stash bash items: washi tape:
One thing I realized when pulling washi tape is that I have almost NO bright colored washi. It is mainly pinks or earth tones!  I have no idea why but I really don't need more washi so I won't be buying anymore any time soon!  This is all I could really come up with to match my kits....but despite having 100+ rolls of washi it would be a feat to just use these up!

Now for my bashket items:
For my items this month I picked:
1) Cut apart sheet from Echo Park Hello Baby Collection
 2) Cut apart sheet from Echo Park Hello Baby Collection
3) CTMH 1/2 punch out sheet from the Sweet Girl collection
 4) enamel dots from Simple Stories
5) misc ephemera from the Echo Park Bee Happy collection
 6) epoxy letters from Pink Fresh Studio Lovely Blooms collection
7) enamel stars from Doodlebug Designs
8) Hello cut apart card (unknown manufacturer)
  9) puffy stickers from Jillibean Soup Farmhouse Stew Collection
 10) Bird Doodle pops from Doodlebug Designs.

This month's stash bash item is Washi tape!!!
1. Follow the challenge prompt to create a kit to work with throughout the month. You may use other items, but try to concentrate on using your kit.
2. Create new, not previously posted projects using your stash kit.
3. If you have a blog - please include the challenge graphic & a link to our challenge in your posts.

Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash Adventure 2023 ~ June edition!

Happy June!  Summer has arrived in Texas, all week it has been in the low 90's!!  I'm so excited for a new month because that means it's time to launch another fun edition of Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash Adventure! So without further adieu let's kick off the June 2023 edition of Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash 2023!!

Now for our "recipe" for June!

My papers for my June kit:
This month I tried to pick more of a variety of colors and patterns as last month the patterns just didn't interest me half way through the month so I added in other papers and therefore, while I used up 2 full sheets and a few pieces of others I didn't make much of a dent in my kit.  These papers are from various manufacturers.  Most of the papers are from Simple Stories with some Echo Park and Pebbles thrown in!

The "B" sides of my papers:
Once again when I look at the "B" sides it looks like a hot mess, nothing coordinates well.  It is funny to me that the "A" sides look so good together but the "B" sides don't!  Most likely I will not use these sides, but you never know!

My embellishments:
These are a miss mash of embellishments that I have been trying to use up for awhile.  There is a 12 x 12 sticker sheet from the Simple Stories Celebrate line, 2 packs of ephemera from the Cocoa Vanilla Sunkissed line, a cut apart page with 2 x 2 squares from the Pebbles My Bright Life collection and a set of fun word stickers from Pink Fresh Studios.

My scraps:
I found a bunch of scraps that I hope to use up this month!  They are from Pebbles (green, blue dot, strawberry), Simple Stories (multi stripe and orange) and the pink and red unknown manufacturers.

Now for my stash bash items: tags:
These fun tags I have had for a long time!  The full sheet is from Pebbles My Bright Life and the smaller cut apart sheet is from Simple Stories Celebrate.  The other tags I believe are from Bella Blvd and Pebbles. I love tags and am excited to use some of these on my projects for this month!

Now for my BASHKET items:
I did use up a number of my "BASHKET" items last month (stay tuned for re-cap coming soon) but my bashket is definitely overflowing!  I hope to use up a lot more this month!  This month I have picked some 1) misc ephemera from Doodlebug and Echo Park left over from a few TSR kits, 2) three tags for cards from Pebbles,  3) a cut apart sheet from Simple Stories with letter boards on it that I think will be super fun to use up, 4) an epoxy title THIS IS MY HAPPY PLACE from Doodlebug, 5) strawberry quote card 6) rainbow quote card 7) word quote card, 8) some misc Bella Blvd epoxy shapes left over from an old TSR kit, 9) a Doodlebug journaling cut apart card, and 10) a 6 x 6 paper pad (almost gone) from Echo Park- My Favorite Summer collection.

This month's stash bash item is Tags!!!
1. Follow the challenge prompt to create a kit to work with throughout the month. You may use other items, but try to concentrate on using your kit.
2. Create new, not previously posted projects using your stash kit.
3. If you have a blog - please include the challenge graphic & a link to our challenge in your posts.

Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash Adventure 2023 ~ May edition!

Happy May!  I can't believe Summer is just around the corner!  It's a new month and that means it's time to launch another fun edition of Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash Adventure! So without further adieu let's kick off the May 2023 edition of Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash 2023!!

Now for our "recipe" for May!

This month I once again made one large kit:
These papers are from Carta Bella Summer Market (lemon), Hip Kit Delightful (black stripe and dark pink), Crate Paper Gingham (green plaid), Crate Paper Sweet Story (strawberry, black/white swan, rainbow, & blue grid), Heidi Swapp Color Fresh (pink plaid), Simple Stories Vintage Life in Bloom (typewriter keys) and Jen Hadfield Hey Hello (bird/blue-green).

Here are the "B" sides of the papers:
I really like the hot air balloon paper!  I think the "B" sides show how fun the patterns are in this kit!  I had a hard time narrowing down my papers for this kit so as you can see I picked one extra paper because it was so hard to narrow it done to ten papers!

Here are the embellishments I have chosen:
The ephemera is from Crate Paper Sweet Story.  The puffy stickers are from Pink Fresh Studios Happy Blooms and Crate Paper Parasol and the butterflies are from Crate Paper Sweet Story.

Now for my stash bash items:
 Cut apart cards:
I just love cut apart cards!  I narrowed it done to 5 sheets here but I have MANY more I could have added! I may or may not have an addiction to these papers!

Now for my Project Life cards:
I love me a good "project life" card!! I have WAY to many of them!! More than I could ever use in one lifetime!  I hope to use most of these up this month, aren't they all pretty???!!!

Here are my scraps:
My scraps for this kit are pretty big, so I hope I can use them up!  They are from Echo Park Best Summer Ever (green stripe), Carta Bella Summer Market (floral), Pink Fresh Studios Happy Blooms (pink plaid) and Hip Kit Club Delightful (blue).

Now for my BASHKET items:
For this month I have picked a 12 x 12 sticker sheet from Simple Stories My Story (1), ephemera from The Hip Kit Club Delightful (2), stickers from Pink Fresh Everyday Musings (3), an envelope from Pink Fresh Happy Blooms (4),  epoxy butterfly from Crate Paper Parasol (5) and ephemera pieces (6-10) from Fancy Pants Honey and Bee collection.

Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash Adventure ~ April 2023 edition!

Happy April!  2023 is flying by!  Spring time has arrived here in Texas! I hope the weather is beautiful where you are too. A new month means it's time to launch another fun edition of Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash Adventure! So without further adieu let's kick off the April 2023 edition of Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash 2023!!

Now for our "recipe" for April!

Now for my April kit, this month I have just one large kit:
These papers are all from Simple Stories and all but one are from the collection Life Captured, the blue grid is from the Quarantined collection.
Now for the "B" sides of the papers:
I have an obsession with cut apart cards, so this collection was right up my alley!

Now for my embellishments:
I have the chipboard and 12 x 12 sticker sheet from the Life Captured Collection and 2 more sheets of cut apart cards.  I didn't like the "B" sides of these papers but bought them because I loved the cut apart cards!

My scraps:
These scraps are pretty generic as it was hard to match the orange and blues of my main papers.  The woodgrain is from Echo Park, the black grid is from Simple Stories and the blue plaid is from Pink Fresh Studios, but the other papers are one sided and I am not sure where they are from, but since they are thinner and one sided I think they are pretty old!

Now for my stash bash item-flowers:
I hardly ever buy flowers anymore and these flowers are pretty old as the bottom 2 are from Sassafrass Lass and the one on the top left is from Basic Grey.  The Dear Lizzy flowers on the top right I got in a kit.  I will be glad to use these up as I have a lot of flowers but rarely use them!

Now for my April Bashket items:
I ended up just picking some random items that I felt matched the color scheme of this month's kit.  I have the sticker sheet from Simple Stories, the enamel dots are from The Hip Kit Club, the tag is from Fancy Pants, the cat sticker is from Amy Tangerine and the pencil is from Cosmo Cricket!  The cards, butterfly, owl and bird are so old I don't even know where I got them from lol!

This month's stash bash item is flowers!!!
1. Follow the challenge prompt to create a kit to work with throughout the month. You may use other items, but try to concentrate on using your kit.
2. Create new, not previously posted projects using your stash kit.

Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash Adventure ~ March 2023!

Happy March!  2023 is flying by!  Spring time seems to be starting here in Texas, we have had some beautiful days making it hard to stay inside! I hope the weather is beautiful where you are too. A new month means it's time to launch another fun edition of Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash Adventure! So without further adieu let's kick off the February 2023 edition of Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash 2023!!

Now for our "recipe" for March!

This month I have picked 2 "mini" kits.  Here is my first kit:

This kit features primarily papers & embellishments from the Cocoa Vanilla These Days collection.  I have used a lot of the papers from this collection but I forgot I had also purchased the embellishments- who does that?  So when I found them recently I decided I needed to use them for this month's kit!

The "A" side of the papers:

The "B" sides of the papers:

Now for my second "mini" kit:
I have been trying to use up my hoard of CTMH papers in the past few months and since I have a brand new sweet granddaughter to scrap I decided to make a kit using the papers and embellishments from the CTMH Sweet Girl collection!

The "A" side of the papers (the colors are very light and don't photograph well):

The "B" side of the papers:

This is a close up of the embellishments from both my kits:
Embellishments are from the CTM Sweet Girl collection (cut apart sheet & 2 sticker sheets in the upper right corner) and the Cocoa Vanilla These Days collection

Close up of my scraps & this months STASH BASH ITEM- ENAMEL DOTS:
As you can see I have an eclectic mix of enamel dots from Teresa Collins (these are really old!), Fancy Pants, Pink Fresh Studios, Carta Bella & Prima.  I have hoarded these Prima crystals for awhile because they are so pretty but it's time to use them up!  My storage bin of enamel dots is overflowing so I need to make a dent in it so I can buy more!  Enamel dots are one of my favorite things to buy (and hoard!)!!!  My scraps are from CTMH & Stampin' Up.

My bashket items for March:
It's just March and already my bashket is full because I have been neglecting it!  This month I kept it a bit more simple so I have a better chance of using up some of these items.  The 2 stickers sheets are from Simple Stories and are all that I have left of this collection. I have also included a pack of ephemera that is almost gone from the Pink Fresh collection Joyful Day collection.  Then I added a Doodle Pop sticker from Doodlebug Designs as I have a full bin of these as well.  The ephemera pieces are I believe from the Maggie Holmes Sweet Story line and have been on my desk for at least a year in a little jar as I pulled them out to use on a project that I never completed (I know gasp!).  So I hope to make a big dent in these 10 items this month otherwise I may have to get a bigger Bashket in April!!!

This month's stash bash item is enamel dots/bling!!
