Sketch Inspiration

I love all the inspiration available on the internet in the form of challenge blogs.  Working on and starting up Sketch N Scrap has taken a lot of my time recently, so I haven't had time to participate lately at some of my favs.  So I was glad to find a little extra time to work with one of Trish's sketch at Sketch Inspiration!  Her sketches are so easy to use, I found that I created my layout in no time flat!

Supplies Used:  Patterned Papers~ My Mind's Eye; Cardstock~ Stampin Up; Letter stickers~ American Crafts;
chipboard embellishments~ Maya Road (flower), Scenic Route (date dot) and other quote unkown.

I love these two pics of my son and his cousin.  They love each other so much that they fight just like brothers!  I loved that my sister captured the expressions on their faces, so totally THEM!  They crack each other up all the time (almost more then they fight).  They are about 6 years apart in age, but my nephew so adores my son, he tries to be EXACTLY like him, so cute!  I love the circle accent used in this sketch, I think it really ties the pics together, I may just end up using this sketch again real soon.  Sketch Inspiration has a new sketch up this week, I don't know if I will have time to play, but I have saved it to my Pinterest board for when I do have time!  Hope you will find time to hop on over to Sketch Inspiration and check it out, and maybe have a go!

Sketch Inspiration

I got a chance to play along again this week at Sketch Inspiration! I loved the sketch this week and was also inpsired on this page by Practical Scrappers' challenge to use bling. I must admit, I rarely use bling but was inspired to use just a wee bit on this page...I still have trouble using a lot of bling! LOL! The papers are from Basic Grey Green at Heart from this month's Personalscrapper kit, really loving these papers. The buttons are from Scenic Route (they matched perfectly), the photo accent from Making Memories and the letter stickers are from Making Memories and American Crafts. The felt flowers and butterflies are cut from a Queen and Company border from a past kit, that I only had scraps left and then I added Kaiser Craft bling...I took a Queen and Company class at CKC recently and learned a lot of tips for working with their felt products! I can't wait to finish up the pages we made and share them with you, they were really adorable! Hope you have a chance to play along at Sketch Inspiration, I'd love to see your interpretation of the sketch!

Dreamin' of Summer Daze

I wish summertime would arrive, love the pool and the waterpark, but yet, don't like the heat...so guess I will settle for spring...summer can wait a bit! LOL! This layout is based on last weeks sketch (114) over at Sketch Inpsiration. It was a fun sketch and perfect for this picture of my son and nephew at NRH2O in 2005 (my little nephew's first trip, he wasn't even two yet!). I used this layout for the Latest and Greatest challenge at the Personalscrapper online crop as this layout uses my latest Personalscrapper kit from March featuring the OH SO LOVELY My Mind's Eye Quite Contrary line - this line is FABULOUS...you MUST pick some up! Erica has outdone herself with this kit, it is right up there as one of my all time favs! I also threw in some Cosmo Cricket chipboard and Jillibean soup and October Afternoon journaling spots. The Warm Summer Sun clear sticker is old old by EK success and adds a nice touch. Letter stickers are Thickers Daydream and My little Shoebox (small red stickers). Hope the sun is shining were you are, enjoy your day friends!

Sketch Inspiration

Don't you think baby photos are the most fun to scrap? I sure do, and of course, it is made super easy when the baby is so adorable! LOL! Not that I am biased or anything, but this little guy is way cute! Can't wait to meet him in person in March, and of course, by then he will be even cuter I am sure. Papers for this layout are from October Afternoon and Pink Paislee. The letters are Thickers. This layout is based on sketch #108 at the fun and oh so inpsiring sketch community called Sketch Inspirations. Go check it out, everyone there is super friendly and the sketches are fun too! Check back in tomorrow, cuz my first sketch for The Scrappiest will be posted, so excited about my first DT reveal, it will make Monday almost fun! LOL! You are gonna love this sketch!
