Winter card with Sketch N Scrap!

Happy Monday!! I was lucky enough to get some time to create some cards and layouts this weekend! I love it when things come together so quickly, and when they do that means I am most likely using a sketch!  Today I wanted to share ONE more card I created using the November 5th card sketch at Sketch N Scrap.  Here is the sketch by sketch artist Heather:

Here is my card using the SUPER versatile sketch:
Supplies Used: card stock: White- CTMH; Paper Paper: Echo Park Hello Winter; sticker: Echo Park Hello Winter; stamp: CTMH; ink: Memento tuxedo black; pearls: Recollections
I loved this sketch so much I have already used it multiple times.  To see my first card created with the sketch go HERE.  I love a card that has a generic sentiment so I decided to make a few Winter themed cards to send come January.  I was also able to use up a bunch of old scraps to make this card as well, so that was another win in my book!  I hope you will join us at Sketch N Scrap this month, you have until November 30th at 9:55 pm CST to join in the fun for a chance to win a $20 gift certificate to Paper House Productions!!  Happy creating!!

Freaky Fast Friday November Formula!!

TGIF!!!  I am SOOOO ready for the weekend, how about you???  I forgot to share the Freaky Fast Friday formula for November last week, so here it is:
Here is the amazing November Flavors of the Month kit from The ScrapRoom:

Here is the Simple Stories So Happy Together collection I used on today's layout:

Here is my layout using the November kit and Freaky Fast Friday Formula:
Supplies Used:  Cardstock: Navy- from the kit; Patterned Paper: Simple Stories: So Happy Together- from the kit; stickers: Simple Stories: So Happy Together- from the kit

I struggled a bit with this formula at first, and I am not sure why because I usually struggle more when the formula includes a circle!  I finally found a design I was happy with. Even though I did struggle with it at first, the layout still came together in under 30 minutes, which is one reason this challenge remains my favorite!! I love the mix of patterns on this layout, this kit gives you a lot of patterns so it's easy to mix and match them!  I thought these colors were perfect for this lovely family photo of my friend and her sweet granddaughter and hubby!   Make sure and hop on over to the ScrapRoom blog to check out what the other DT members did with this fun formula!!  I hope you will find time to give a go, it is SUPER fun and FREAKY fast!!  Happy creating!

Sketch N Scrap crop card

Today it's my turn to host our 4th and final challenge in the Sketch N Scrap monthly Facebook challenge group!!  My challenge is to use this sketch from World Card Making Day 2017 to create a card with the optional twist to repeat the icon in your pattern paper on the card!  So since I used snowflake patterned paper I repeated that them by using a snowflake as an embellishment on my card!  Here is the sketch I used:

Here is my card using the sketch and the optional twist:
Supplies Used: Card stock: White & Always Artichoke by Stampin' Up; embossing folder: Sizzix; die: stitches snowflakes by Lawn Fawn; stamp: CTMH; ink: Always Artichoke by Stampin' Up; Patterned Paper: Stampin' Up; rhinestones: Queen & Co
I FINALLY used up this pack of Stampin' Up Designer Paper!  It is very old and I don't even remember the name of it or how old it is, but I am sure it is well over 7 years old!!   I think the colors are so pretty and I guess that is why I have hoarded these last few pieces for so long lol!!  I love this sketch, it's so versatile!  I hope you will find time to join in the fun this month at Sketch N Scrap!! Happy Creating!

November Flavors of the Month kit at The ScrapRoom!

Howdy! Today I am sharing another layout I created using the November Flavors of the Month kit at The ScrapRoom!  Here is a reminder of the fun kit:

Here is the 1 Canoe 2 Willow collection I used for today's layout:

For today's layout I also used the November 1st sketch at Sketch N Scrap created by yours truly:

Here is my layout using the November Flavors of the Month kit & the November 1st sketch:
Supplies Used: cardstock: White- from the kit; Patterned Paper: 1 Canoe 2 Willow- from the kit; stickers: 1 Canoe 2 Willow- from the kit; enamel dots: Paper Studio- from my stash; Doilies: unknown- from my stash
For the 2 circle elements I used 2 different colored doilies to accent the pictures.  I used floral stickers from the included sticker sheet as my embellishments and popped them up on pop dots for more dimension.  I loved the pretty floral paper in this line and wanted to make it the focal point of my layout.  I added pops of gold by adding gold enamel dots near my 2 embellishment clusters.  I think the colors worked great with my photos!!  Make sure and hop on over to the ScrapRoom blog and the Sketch N Scrap blog to see what the other DT members did with this beautiful kit and sketch!! Happy creating!

November Flavors of the Month kit at The ScrapRoom!

Happy Hump Day!!   I hope your month is off to a good start!!!  Today I am debuting the wonderful November Flavors of the Month kit at The ScrapRoom!!  Here is the beautiful kit for this month:
Here is the Fancy Pants Good Ole' Days collection mini kit I am working with today:

Here is my first layout using the gorgeous kit:
Supplies used: Patterned Paper: Fancy Pants Good Ole' Days- from the kit; ephemera: Fancy Pants Good Ole' Days- from the kit.
I just love the look of torn paper yet I rarely use it anymore, so I went old school on this layout and used some torn edges which I think fit in great with the vintage feel to this wonderful kit!!  I also printed my photos with a fun vintage filter to go along with the rustic/vintage vibe of this line and I love how it turned out!  Everything on the layout is from the kit and as you can see it a ton of fun supplies!! To purchase your own kit you can visit the Scrap-Room store HERE!  Make sure and hop on over to the ScrapRoom blog to see what the other DT members did with this fun kit!! Happy creating!!

Card Sketch #157 at Sketch N Scrap!

Good morning!  I hope you enjoyed your extra hour of sleep this weekend!  This time change has made me into an early bird lol!  Today I am sharing my card using the November 5th card sketch at Sketch N Scrap!  Here is the fun sketch by sketch artist Heather:

Here is my card using the sketch:
Supplies Used: Cardstock: Kraft, Pool Party & Chocolate Chip- Stampin' Up; Patterned Paper: My Favorite Fall by Echo Park; sticker: My Favorite Fall by Echo Park; stamp : CTMH SOTM September 208; ink: Chocolate Chip- Stampin' Up
I had so much fun making this card using scraps from my October Flavors of the Month kit at The ScrapRoom.  I didn't have enough papers left for another layout so I am making cards from the remaining scraps and stickers and this sketch worked perfectly!  This sentiment is my newest fav from CTMH so you might be seeing it a lot! It's more fun then "Thinking of You" and is perfect for any occasion!!  I hope you will hop on over to the Sketch N Scrap blog to check out what amazing cards the DT has made with this sketch!  Happy creating!
