Sketch N Scrap World Card Making Day sketch #3

Happy Saturday!  Have you been joining us each Saturday in October at Sketch N Scrap as we celebrate World Card Making Day all month long?  I hope you have found some time to join in the festivities or at least check out all the inspiration that we have been sharing!  Today I have our THIRD sketch for you by yours truly!  Here is the sketch:

And here is my take on the sketch:
Supplies Used: Card stock: Stampin' Up- Whisper White, Daffodil Delight and Strawberry Slush; Patterned Paper: Echo Park Summer Fun; Dies: Stampin' Up Stitched Dies; Stickers: Echo Park Summer Fun; Stamp- CTMH; Ink: Memento

I had so much fun making this card!  I knew I wanted to use this stamp/sentiment so I wanted to use bright and bold papers and this line fit the bill!  Plus it is included in my 100 paper stash bash so it worked out wonderfully!  I am trying to use up some of my stash of papers so I have picked out 100 + papers to use up by next year this time.  My goal is to use up 25 by January 31st and so far I am moving right along towards my goal!  I hope you will join us this month at Sketch N Scrap as we celebrate World Card Making Month/Day and get a lot of card done!  Make sure and visit Sketch N Scrap to see what the other team members did with this sketch!  Happy creating!

October's Double Shot kit from The ScrapRoom ~ Carta Bella Our Family

We finally got some Fall like temperatures this week and I actually got to put on a sweatshirt, YAY!  I haven't gone as far to turn the heat on yet as it is still pretty warm in the afternoon but it's nice to feel the cool crisp air in the mornings!  Today I am sharing with you a double page layout I created with the October Doubleshot kit from The ScrapRoom.  Here is the kit:

Such a beautiful kit!!  Here is my layout using the kit:
Supplies Used: Patterned Paper- Carta Bella Our Family (from the kit); die cuts/frames: Carta Bella our Family (from the kit); quote card: Carta Bella Our Family (from the kit) doily (from the kit); cardstock (From the kit); heart punch (my stash- McGill); Dies: circle and scallop (Stampin' Up -from my stash); enamel dots (from my stash- My Mind's Eye)

Back in June of 2016 we had a family photo shoot and these were the pictures that we got of my brother's sweet little family!  I love how they turned out and wanted to make them a layout to put in their family album!  I am even thinking they could frame it and hang it on their wall!  I have to say that this line is one of my all time favs!!  I love the plaid paper and the vintage feel this line has and if you haven't used Carta Bella paper you should get some, it is SOOO luxurious, thick and gorgeous!   I know I am not the only paper connoisseur out there!   If you have this kit and have made something pretty with it please share here in the comments with me, I'd love to see what you have created!  Make sure and check out what the other DT members have done with this kit by going to The ScrapRoom blog- SOOO much inspiration there!  And if you would like to purchase your own amazing Doubleshot kit visit The ScrapRoom store before they are gone!  Remember this kit club is SUPER flexible, many kits to chose from, lots of add ons and if you don't like a kit for some reason as long as you email Rochelle by the designated date you can skip for that month...but we ALL know that I won't be skipping any kits, haven't met a one I haven't liked lol!  Happy creating friends!

The ScrapRoom October Doubleshot kit ~ Jilllibean Soup Farmhouse Stew

I can't believe it is already October can you?  I love the colors of Fall so when I received my October Doubleshot kit from The Scraproom I was over the moon excited about the colors of this amazing kit!  Perfect for your Fall photos!!  Here is the amazing kit:
After all who doesn't love Jillibean Soup or Carta Bella?  Two of my favorite manufacturers!  I had a lot of fun using the Jillibean Soup papers to create this layout:
Supplies Used: Patterned Paper (from the kit) Jillibean Soup Farmhouse Stew; cardstock (from the kit) : American Crafts; puffy stickers (from the kit)- Jillibean Soup Farmhouse Stew; word sticker (happy- from the kit)- Jillibean Soup; Die: CTMH (together- from my stash);  Journal box: Fancy Pants (from my stash)

I loved all the fun cut apart sayings that were part of one of the papers included in the kit, I thought this one was so appropriate for this picture of my brother and his family acting crazy on Family Fun night at my nephew's school!  I fussy cut the flowers from one of the papers to give me some larger embellishments that I felt the layout needed to give it balance.  I don't normally fussy cut things but it was kind of soothing to do so and I think I will be doing this again in the future!  Make sure and visit The ScrapRoom blog to check out what the other DT members came up with using this fun kit!  If you would like to purchase your own yummy kit visit The ScrapRoom, there are several kits to choose from and if you can't pick just one why not treat yourself to several!!  Happy creating friends and I can't wait to see what you create with your kit!

Sketch N Scrap card sketch #107

I can't believe October is already here!  This year is flying by!  I love October, it's one of my favorite months, so many fun things to do!!  Today we are revealing the first card sketch for the month at Sketch N Scrap!  Here is the amazing sketch by Heather:

I loved this sketch so much I created 2 cards using it!! Here they are:
Supplies Used: Cardstock: Stampin' Up- Very Vanilla, Old Olive, & gold; stamp sets: Stampin' Up Painted Harvest, CTMH Falling For You & Stampin' Up (individual stamp - FOR YOU);  Ink: Stampin' Up Pumpkin Pie, Delightful Dijon & Soft Suede; Punch: Stampin' Up- leaft; Dies: Stampin' Up- Stitched Oval; embossing folder: Stampin' Up- florals; enamel dot: Teresa Collins. Pattern Paper: Stampin' Up

Supplies Used:  Cardstock: Stampin' Up- Whisper White, Soft Sky, Calypso Coral, & Basic Black; Patterned paper: Stampin' Up Hello Lovely; Project Lift cards: Stampin' Up Hello Lovely; Dies: Stampin' Up circle & scallop framelits; Pearls: Queen & Co.; Embossing folder: Stampin' Up.

This sketch is so versatile I know I will use it again!!  I didn't even do any stamping on my second card and it came together very quickly!  For my circle piece I used my circle die to cut out the sentiment from a Project Life card and the floral square behind the sentiment is another Project Life card!  I think this is a fun way to use up those extra cards!!  This month is going to be packed with all kinds of fun at Sketch N Scrap!  We are celebrating World Card Making Day ALL MONTH LONG with a new and exclusive card sketch every Saturday in October!

I hope you can join us for all the festivities this month!  You have until October 31st at 9:55 CST to enter your cards for the challenge!  Happy creating!
