Now for Lori's fun challenge: (June 9th - July 10th)
It doesn't get any easier then an anything goes challenge!!!  So have fun with it ladies!
Here is my layout using both the sketch and Lori's anything goes challenge:

Supplies Used: patterned Paper: Simple Stories I Am & CTMH Mix In papers (small circles); stickers: Simple Stories I Am; enamel dots: Recollections; title strip (black): Elle's Studio

I just loved the colors of this beautiful line by Simple Stories and since I had lots of stickers left but just small scraps of paper left from one of my past ScrapRoom kits this was the perfect way to use the remainder of this line!  This is a picture a sweet friend took of me during our church's women's ministry fair last January where I kicked  off my new life group that I called Creative Christ Followers!  This group combines a bible study with paper crafting, we do memorydex faith cards, scripture writing, bible journaling, card making and more!  We had to stop in person meetings back in March but we have been having some fun Zoom get together's since then!!
Here are a few close ups of my spread:

To make the gold strips pop more I outlined them in a black pen.  I didn't want to cover up the bible in my picture so I placed my sticker down further then shown in the sketch, but that is the beauty of sketches, you can adapt them to fit your needs!

Since space is at a premium in a TN, I used this fun quote from one of my Elle's Studio kits as my title!! I love how the black pops against the color!

June 1st sketch at Sketch N Scrap!

Happy Friday Eve!!  Today I wanted to share my take on the June 1st sketch at Sketch N Scrap with you as well as show you my first project using my Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash 2020 kit that my buddy Lori sent me!  Here is the sketch created by yours truly:

Here is my layout using the sketch & my June Great Stash Bash kit:
Supplies Used: Cardstock: Bazzill - Ivory; Patterned Paper: Echo Park A Beautiful Life, Carta Bella Family Night, Echo Park Summers Dream; sticker: Carta Bella Our House & Echo Park A Beautiful Life; ephemera: PinkFresh Studios; enamel hearts: Doodlebug Designs
I just loved all the patterns and how well they mixed together despite being from multiple lines!! I only have a few very small scraps left from my Carta Bella Our House collection, however I still had a number of the stickers left and thought these cooking themed stickers would be perfect for these photos of my sweet friend's granddaughter cooking with her grandpa!!  How sweet are these photos?  I was so happy to find out that these stickers that I had left on this 12 x 12 sticker sheet matched these amazing papers my friend Lori sent me for my June 2020 Great Stash Bash kit!! Yay!  Hoping to use up the remaining photos this month and bash not only this kit but this 12 x 12 sticker sheet!!  Won't you join us at Sketch N Scrap or in making your own stash bash kit?  We would love for you to join in the fun and share what you create!  Happy creating friends!

June edition of Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash 2020!

Happy June!!  Are you ready for Summer? It certainly feels like Summer already here in Texas!  Today is a new month so that means it's time to launch Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash 2020 kit for June!
For those who are new to the challenge here is how it works:
On the 1st of each month we will post a challenge prompt and the stash kit we have created following that prompt. During the month we will try to use as much of our stash kits as possible on different projects. Then, on the last day of the month, we will do a recap post showing what stash we were able to bash!
This will be a just-for-fun challenge so no monthly prize - but isn't the real prize using up our stash? You never know - if we still have a few unused stash items after a few months, then those items may just go into a giveaway. We hope you will join us in our quest to bash some stash in 2020. If you accept the challenge to play along - link up on either my blog or Lori's blog (or both if you choose) so that we can see who is joining us each month!
Now for our June challenge:
Here are the rules:
This month we will create a kit with 10 papers (seven papers 3 years or older & three newer papers), 5-7 scrap papers, 4 embellishments (three that are 3 years or older & one newer one), and some Thickers/alphabets!!
1. Follow the challenge prompt to create a kit to work with throughout the month. You may use other items, but please concentrate on using your kit.
2. Create new, not previously posted projects using your stash kit.
3. If you have a blog - please include the challenge graphic and a link to our challenge in your posts.
4. You may link to social media if you don't have a blog. If you share on Instagram, please make sure to use - #lisaandlorisgreatstashbash2020
Since this is a just for fun challenge the rules are not set in stone BUT we have them to help you focus on what really matters using your stash!  We also hope you will help spread the word of our fun challenge so others may join in!!  You know you have at least one friend who needs to use her stash!!
This month we are changing things up just a bit!  For June Lori & I exchanged kits! We always love each other's kits so much we decided to make a kit for each other!
So here is the kit Lori created for me using the June prompts:

Here are the 8 older papers:
This is a great selection of papers from Echo Park A Beautiful Life, Shimelle's Little by Little, Dear Lizzy A Slicef fe Life as well as Carta Bella Hello Again, Echo Park Summer Dream & HomeGrown!

Here are the newer papers Lori sent me:
All these beautiful papers are from Simple Stories Oh Happy Day!

Here are the scrap papers:
These papers are from October Afternoon, Echo Park, Stampin' Up, My Mind's Eye & Crate Paper! What a great representation of manufacturers in a few scraps!

Now for the beautiful older embellishments:

A sticker sheet from EP It's A Beautiful Life, enamel shapes & gold word strips!

Now for the fun alphabet stickers!! Wow!

For the newer embellishments she sent ephemera from Oh Happy Day collection by Simple Stories and these adorable hearts from Doodlebug Designs!! I'm in love with these cute hearts!

Wow!  What beautiful kit! I can't wait to dig into it!  I will be back at the end of the week to share a recap of my May kit with you!!  I hope you will be inspired to dig through your stash this month and play along with myself and Lori as we endeavor to bash some stash in 2020!!  If you chose to play along make sure and link up below, we'd love to see what you have put together for a kit & what you create with it!  Happy creating friends!
