Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash Adventure 2026 ~ October edition

Happy October! It's a new month and time to launch another fun edition of Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash Adventure! I didn't use up my entire kit last month but I did create 2 layouts using my fun kit so I will call that a win!!  You can see the layouts I created HERE. We have an upcoming zoo trip planned for this month, so I will leave the kit on my desk & maybe I will be able to create another layout or two using it soon! Now without further adieu let's kick off the October edition of Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash 2026!!
Here is how our 2026 challenge works:
On the 1st of each month we will post a challenge prompt and the stash kit we have created using that prompt. During the month we will try to use as much of our stash kit as possible on different projects. Then, somewhere along the way we will do a recap post showing what stash we were able to bash!
This will be a just-for-fun challenge so there is no monthly prize - but isn't the real prize using up our stash?  We hope you will join us on our quest to bash some stash in 2026. If you accept the challenge to play along - link up on either my blog or Lori's Blog My Happy Life (or both if you choose) so that we can see who is joining us each month!

HERE IS OUR RECIPE FOR THIS MONTH:

Here is my kit for this month:
I have a road trip planned for this month with my family so I plan to use this kit to make a travel journal to document all the fun we have along the way!

Close up of my papers:
All these papers are from the Simple Stories Safe Travels collection.

HERE ARE MY EMBELLISHMENTS:

I have tags, puffy stickers, foam stickers and cut apart cards from the Simple Stories Safe Travels collection & a 12 x 12 sticker sheet from the Simple Stories Pack your Bags collection. Funny story, I bought this collection in 2021 & didn't open it until almost a year later & when I did I found out whoever packaged it did not include the 12 x 12 sticker sheet that was supposed to be included, so since the collection was discontinued there was no way to get a replacement from where I had bought it from, so now I always open any collection I purchase when I get it!!  Luckily, I have not had this happen before or since!!

MY STASH BASH ITEM (EPHEMERA) & MY ALPHAS:
My alphas are from American Craft Thickers (black) & Chickaniddy Crafts (these are really old!)  My ephemera is from the Simple Stories Safe Travels collection.

I hope you will join us this month!!!
Here are the rules for 2026:
Each month we will create a kit using the recipe (found above) of 3-5 patterned papers of any size (dig into your stash for new or old papers it's up to  you!), 2-3 embellishments, 2-3 pieces of cardstock, alphas and our stash bash item!
This month's stash bash item is: EPHEMERA
1. Follow the challenge prompt to create a kit to work with throughout the month. You may use other items, but try to concentrate on using your kit.
2. Create new, not previously posted projects using your stash kit.
3. If you have a blog - please include the challenge graphic & a link to our challenge in your posts.
4. You may link to social media if you don't have a blog. If you share on Instagram, please make sure to use - #lisaandlorisgreatstashbash2026
Since this is a just for fun challenge the rules are not set in stone BUT we have them to help you focus on what really matters using your stash!  We also hope you will help spread the word of our fun challenge so others may join in!!  You know you have at least one friend who needs to use her stash!!

I am super excited to dig into my fun kit this month!! I hope you will join Lori and myself as we endeavor to bash some stash!  Remember if you play along make sure and use the hashtag #lisaandlorisgreatstashbash2026.  I can't wait to see your kit!  If you create a kit link up below to share with us all!!  Happy creating!!
