Sketch N Scrap's 14th Birthday Bash sketch #1

Happy Saturday!!! It's a busy month at Sketch N Scrap as we celebrate 14 years of sharing inspiring sketches with you!  I can't believe I started on this sketch journey 14 years ago this month!! WOW!  What a fun ride it has been!  To celebrate Sketch N Scrap is offering an exclusive sketch each and every Saturday in May!!   So make sure and join us and play along!!

Today we have our first 14th Birthday Bash sketch for you, created by yours truly!
Here is the sketch:

Here is the layout I created using this fun sketch:
Supplies Used: Cardstock: Bazzill White & Stampin' Up Always Artichoke; Patterned Paper:  Simple Stories Happily Ever After collection; Ephemera: Simple Stories Happily Ever After, chipboard: Simple Stories Happily Ever After.

I am still working on the wedding album I started a year and a half ago for my DIL's twin sister!  I am almost finished with it, but it has been a slow process for sure as I get tired of working on it and take long breaks!!  I do love how it turned out, and was pleasantly surprised I liked the end results as I normally do not like to use circles on my layouts, but it is fun to challenge yourself sometimes, don't you think??

Make sure and hop on over to the Sketch N Scrap blog and check out what the other DT members did with the sketch!!
Happy creating!

Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash Adventure 2026 ~ May edition!

Happy May! It's a new month and time to launch another fun edition of Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash Adventure! Thanks to everyone that joined us last month, I loved seeing your kits and beautiful projects!!  I did not do as well using up my April kit as I had hoped.  I traveled a lot this month, all for fun, but it cut into my crafty time!  I will keep it out and hopefully use some of it soon!  Thank goodness it's a new month, it is time to reset & start anew!!  So without further adieu let's kick off the May edition of Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash 2026!!

Here is how our 2026 challenge works:
On the 1st of each month we will post a challenge prompt and the stash kit we have created using that prompt. During the month we will try to use as much of our stash kit as possible on different projects. Then, somewhere along the way we will do a recap post showing what stash we were able to bash!
This will be a just-for-fun challenge so there is no monthly prize - but isn't the real prize using up our stash?  We hope you will join us on our quest to bash some stash in 2026. If you accept the challenge to play along - link up on either my blog or Lori's Blog My Happy Life (or both if you choose) so that we can see who is joining us each month!

Now for our Stash Bash kit recipe for this month:

Here is my May kit:
For this kit I am hoping to create a few layouts using Spring pictures from last year and maybe make a few cards!

My papers (A side):
These papers are all from the Echo Park All About a Girl collection.  (Please excuse the picture, I had to scan it due to it being rainy and gloomy with poor lighting all week!).

The "B" side of my papers:

My embellishments & alphas:

For my embellishments this month I have a 12 x 12 sticker sheet from the Echo Park All About a Girl , Hip Kit Dream Big epoxy buttons & ephemera from the Hip Kit Dream Big  collection.  Alphas are from the Hip Kit Club Pretty Sweet collection (pink alphas) & Hip Kit Club Dream Big collection (purple alphas).

My stash Bash item (flowers):
The flowers are from various manufacturers including Simple Stories, Hip Kit Club, Cocoa Vanilla and an oldie but a goodie Queen & Co!!

I hope you will join us this month!!!
Here are the rules for 2026:
Each month we will create a kit using the recipe (found above) of 3-5 patterned papers of any size (dig into your stash for new or old papers it's up to  you!), 2-3 embellishments, 2-3 pieces of cardstock, alphas and our stash bash item!
This month's stash bash item is: flowers
1. Follow the challenge prompt to create a kit to work with throughout the month. You may use other items, but try to concentrate on using your kit.
2. Create new, not previously posted projects using your stash kit.
3. If you have a blog - please include the challenge graphic & a link to our challenge in your posts.
4. You may link to social media if you don't have a blog. If you share on Instagram, please make sure to use - #lisaandlorisgreatstashbash2026
Since this is a just for fun challenge the rules are not set in stone BUT we have them to help you focus on what really matters using your stash!  We also hope you will help spread the word of our fun challenge so others may join in!!  You know you have at least one friend who needs to use her stash!!

I am super excited to dig into my fun kit this month!! I hope you will join Lori and myself as we endeavor to bash some stash!  Remember if you play along make sure and use the hashtag #lisaandlorisgreatstashbash2026.  I can't wait to see your kit!  If you create a kit link up below to share with us all!!  Happy creating!!
