Sketch N Scrap card sketch #98

May has flown by and today we have our last regular sketch of the month at Sketch N Scrap!  Today the sketch is designed by me!  Here is the sketch:

And here is my take on the sketch:
Supplies Used: Card stock: Stampin Up- Whisper White, Rich Razzleberry & Pale Plum; Patterned paper: Crate Paper Market & Fancy Pants Life is Beautiful; Embossing Folder: Stampin' Up; Die cut: Pebbles; Sticker: "enjoy your day"- Pebbles; Enamel dots: Stampin Up
These papers, die cut and sticker were all part of my scraps drawer that I am trying to use up!  I love how these colors blend so well!  I am really running low on birthday cards for my stash and am HORRIBLE at making them and then sending them as birthdays roll around, I do better just grabbing one from my stash and THEN mailing it out vs trying to make one last minute!  I hope you can join us at Sketch N Scrap this month and play along for our amazing festive birthday prize on the blog OR the even more amazing Elle's Studio prize we are giving away at our month long online crop!  Even better why not join us on BOTH the blog and the Facebook page for the most possible inspiration!  Hope to see you there!

Sketch N Scrap's 5th birthday bash challenge #3!

Have you been participating in Sketch N Scrap's 5th birthday bash challenges?  I hope you have been able to find some time to join us at our online month long crop!  We are having a great time and today kicks off a new challenge for week #3.  Today's challenge is to create a layout based on this sketch by me:

Here is my take on the sketch:

Supplies Used:  Card stock: Bazzill; Patterned Paper: Fancy Pants Happy Place; Letters: Fancy Pants Happy Place; Embellishments: (tag, flowers, heart): Fancy Pants Happy Place; enamel dots: My Mind's Eye

I made this layout for my sister to go in a 12 x 12 display frame my Mom got her a few years ago for her birthday.  I love these pictures of her daughter and hubby kidding around at my son's birthday lunch this past year!  This collection by Fancy Pants is just amazing, their paper is so thick and easy to work with and I just adore the color palette of this collection!  So glad I bought it when it went on sale!   The month long online crop last until June 2nd at midnight CST so there is still plenty of time left to play along and crop with us!  Senior design team member Lori has an awesome prize up for grabs for one lucky winner but remember you can't win if you don't play!  So hop over to our Facebook page and join in the fun OR check out what the other designers did with the sketch at the Sketch N Scrap blog!  We have LOTS of different challenges this month for you to play along with !
Happy creating!

Sketch N Scrap's 5th birthday bash challenge #2!

Welcome to week #2 of Sketch N Scrap's 5th birthday bash!  Our challenge for you for this week is to create a card using this sketch by me:

And here is my take on the sketch:

Supplies Used:  Cardstock: Stampin' Up Whisper White, Pretty in Pink & Basic Black; Patterned Paper: Doodlebug Smitten Kitten 6x6; Stamp: Stampin' Up; Ink: Memento Black; Die Cut (heart and kitten): Doodlebug Smitten Kitten

My niece absolutely adores cats (well and so do I!) but when I saw this line I really had no kitten pictures to use it with but heck, I had to have it!  Some of the papers can be used for other things and those that are "cat" themed I figured I would use for cards!  I have a special friend that loves cats to and I plan on mailing it to her!  Hope she is surprised when it arrives!   Sketch N Scrap is so excited to be turning FIVE years old this month so we are celebrating with FIVE exclusive sketches and an online crop! I hope you will find time to join us! Make sure and check out the Sketch N Scrap blog to see what amazing cards the other DT members created with the sketch!  We would love to see your take on the sketch!

Here is my take on the sketch:

Supplies Used: Card stock: Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Real Red & Chocolate Chip by Stampin' Up; Patterned Paper: My Mind's Eye; Flower: My Mind's Eye, Ink: Chocolate chip by Stampin' Up; Stamp: Stampin' Up, border punch: Fiskars

This was a super fun sketch to work with and came together super fast! I was able to use up more of my papers from my 100 paper challenge as well as this older die cut that was left from a kit and I never used due to it's size, I think it is over 5 years old so glad to have found a use for it!  I hope you will join us on the blog and our Facebook page to get creative as we celebrating FIVE years of bringing you inspiration every month!  Our prizes for the crop and the blog this month are awesome so make sure and play along!  I can't wait to see what you create!

Handy Men- Sketch N Scrap #128

Happy May!  I am so excited that May if finally here!  So many scrappy events happening this month!  National Scrapbooking Day is this weekend and then Sketch N Scrap is turning FIVE this month!!!  What a fun five years it has been!  I have enjoyed every minute of it!  We are celebrating all month long with an online crop over on our Facebook page, so make sure and join us - the month long crop kicks off tomorrow May 2nd at 9 am CST!!!!  But now for our first sketch of the month which is by me!  Here is the sketch:

And here is my take on the sketch:

Supplies Used:  Patterned Paper: Simple Stories So Rad collection; Card stock: Bazzill Basics; Wood veneer: Elle's Studio; Letter Stickers: Simple Stories So Rad; Stickers: Simple Stories So Rad; die cuts: Jillibean Soup

I finally was able to get these older photos scrapped!  I have had them on my desk for at least a year!  I couldn't get the photos to layout out in a pleasing design so I ended up designing my own sketch but it took me a few months to work out something I really liked!  Sometimes that happens and it is very overwhelming but when it all comes together I always feel so accomplished!   I hope you will find time to play along with us at Sketch N Scrap this month on the blog or crop with us online on the Facebook page!   I can't wait to see what you create!
Happy 5th birthday to Sketch N Scrap!
