WCMD sketch #5 at Sketch N Scrap!

Happy Halloween!!  Can you believe I totally forgot to buy Halloween candy??? I sure hope not to many stop by as I have only one straggly bag of candy!! I'm seeing it as a good thing that means I won't eat it...think of all the calories I will be missing out on lol!  Today is the last day of the month and the last Saturday of the month so it's time for our final WCMD sketch...we have been celebrating World Card Making Day all month long at Sketch N Scrap with a new exclusive card sketch!  It's been fun and I have gotten a lot of cards made, how about you?  I hope you have enjoyed it!
Here is the last sketch created by yours truly:

Here is my card created with the sketch:
Supplies Used: Card stock: Whisper White & Dapper Denim: Stampin' Up; Patterned Paper: Pink Paislee And Many More; ink: Memento Black Tuxedo; stamp: CTMH; sticker: Simple Stories I am; black pen: Le Pen

October Flavors of the Month kit @ The ScrapRoom

Happy Sunday!  The month is winding down and I am trying to catch up on posting the layouts I have created this month!  Today I am sharing a fun layout I created with the October Flavors of the Month kit at The ScrapRoom using the Simple Stories Apron Strings collection!  Here is a reminder of the full kit:

Here is the Simple Stories Apron Strings collection I am using on today's layout:

Here is my layout using the amazing kit:
Supplies Used: Cardstock: Ivory- from the kit; Patterned Paper: Simple Stories Apron Strings- from the kit; dies: Stampin' Up stitched dies- from my stash; ephemera: Simple Stories Apron Strings- from the kit; brads:Simple Stories Apron Strings- from the kit; enamel dot: My Mind's Eye- from my stash
I had so much fun with these pictures of my niece enjoying her favorite pie last November!! She loves all things pumpkin so it was fun to do a layout about her love of pumpkin!  I have hidden my journaling on the tag behind the square picture, this fun tag is part of the kit!  I decided to go with a bunch of circles on this layout and I love the way it turned out, it gave the smaller embellishments more impact.  The pie at the top of the layout was fussy cut from one of the tags included in the kit.  Sometimes it is hard to find a way to use tags but in this instance the saying on the tag didn't fit my pictures/theme so I just cut out the pie and used that portion of the tag!!  Make sure and hop on over to The ScrapRoom blog to see what the other DT members did with this fun kit!   Happy creating!

World Card Making Day sketch #4 at Sketch N Scrap!

Happy weekend!  Today is Saturday and that means time to launch another exclusive World Card Making Day sketch at Sketch N Scrap!  We are celebrating World Card Making Day all month long in October with an exclusive card sketch each and every Saturday this month!  Today's sketch is brought to us by sketch artist Stacy.  Here is her awesome sketch:

Here is my card using the sketch:
Supplies Used: patterned paper: Jillibean Soup Garden Harvest; cardstock: Stampin' Up Very Vanilla; ephemera: Jillibean Soup Garden Harvest; ink: Stampin' Up Night of Navy; stamp: CTMH Card Captions

For this card I am using the papers I have picked out for October's Great Stash Bash challenge.  I am not doing as well using up my papers as I had hoped since life always seems to get in the way, but at least I am making a small dent in my papers this month.  If you want to learn more about Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash 2020 challenge you can go to THIS POST.  I decided to work on some just because cards for my stash as I seem to never have enough of those as this is the most used type of card in my stash for some reason...I think it's because I am horrible about remembering birthdays!!  I hope you check out the amazing cards the Sketch N Scrap DT made with this awesome sketch and I also hope you will join Lori and myself as we endeavor to bash some stash in 2020!!  Happy creating!

TN Time with Lisa & Lori ~ October edition

Happy weekend!! I hope you will find time to play with paper this weekend!  Sorry for the delay in posting the challenge this month, but sometimes life gets in the way right??!!!  I can't believe another month has come and gone, time sure seems to fly by anymore, but sure enough it's time for the October edition of TN Time with Lisa & Lori!
So let's get this party started:

HERE IS HOW OUR CHALLENGE WORKS: This is a monthly challenge that launches on the 10th of each month  You will have until the 9th at midnight CST to link up your entries. If you complete my sketch challenge link your TN, bullet journal or planner spread below. If you combined my challenge with Lori's challenge link up your spread here on my blog AND on Lori's Blog (My Happy Life).  You will then have a chance to win my prize as well as Lori's prize!  That's a chance to win TWO times with ONE layout! WOW!

Now for my challenge!! Here is this month's sketch:

Now for Lori's fun challenge: (October 10th through November 9th):

So let's dust off those stamps and ink them up friends!!  I know I have a large number of stamps that I have never inked up!! Yikes!  What a simple yet striking technique to give a great look to our layouts!
Here is my spread using both the sketch & Lori's challenge!  As you can see I chose to stamp #blessed and add it under the word strip as part of my title.  I also stamped the date on my tag where I added my journaling.
Supplies Used:  Patterned Paper: PhotoPlay Heart & Home (green dot & navy hearts) & Simple Stories So Happy Together; pom pom trim- Hobby Lobby; ink: Stampin' Up Night of Navy; stamps: Illustrated Faith Date Stamp & CTMH -blessed; sticker (floral spray) PhotoPlay Heart & Home; ephemera: Simple Stories So Happy Together; epoxy hearts: Doodlebug Designs; tags: Fancy Pants; circle dies: Stampin' Up stitched circles.

Here are a few close ups:
I just love this pom pom trim!  I have never added it to my spreads before but it was super easy to do using tacky glue!!  I am going to be doing it a lot more!!  This spread is for my 2019 TN.  This is a picture of my son and all his cousins that we took last Thanksgiving!!  We rarely all get together anymore so this was the first picture of the cousins in 3 years and my how they had grown!!  This is a treasured picture so it definitely had to go into my 2019 TN of favorite photos!!

I added a second tag that is just pretty patterned paper, I thought it helped pop up the other tag, that is really it's only purpose...lol!  I also love the look of these epoxy tiny hearts instead of enamel dots!  These were given to me by my pal Lori and I just had to buy all the colors!!  Love them so much!!   Now for the nitty gritty details:

Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash 2020 ~ October edition!

Happy October!!  Today starts a new month which means we are launching a new edition of Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash 2020!  We are still in the low 90's here in Texas but the evenings are cooling down making me dream of Fall and the cool crisp days and nights!  So let's get this party started with our October edition of Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash 2020 challenge!!

For those who are new to the challenge here is how it works:
On the 1st of each month we will post a challenge prompt and the stash kit we have created using that prompt. During the month we will try to use as much of our stash kits as possible on different projects. Then, on the last day of the month, we will do a recap post showing what stash we were able to bash!
This will be a just-for-fun challenge so no monthly prize - but isn't the real prize using up our stash? You never know - if we still have a few unused stash items after a few months, then those items may just go into a giveaway. We hope you will join us in our quest to bash some stash in 2020. If you accept the challenge to play along - link up on either my blog or Lori's Blog (or both if you choose) so that we can see who is joining us each month!

Now for our October challenge:

Here are the rules:
This month we will create a kit with 10 papers (seven papers 3 years or older & three newer papers), 5-7 scrap papers, 4 embellishments (three that are 3 years or older & one newer one), and some 12 x 12 sticker sheets!!!

1. Follow the challenge prompt to create a kit to work with throughout the month. You may use other items, but please concentrate on using your kit.
2. Create new, not previously posted projects using your stash kit.
3. If you have a blog - please include the challenge graphic and a link to our challenge in your posts.
4. You may link to social media if you don't have a blog. If you share on Instagram, please make sure to use - #lisaandlorisgreatstashbash2020
Since this is a just for fun challenge the rules are not set in stone BUT we have them to help you focus on what really matters using your stash!  We also hope you will help spread the word of our fun challenge so others may join in!!  You know you have at least one friend who needs to use her stash!!
Here is my kit using the October prompts:

I'm so excited to use up some of these 12 x 12 stickers sheets! I have so many so it will feel good to use some up!! I am hoping to scrap a bunch of pictures of my trip to the pumpkin patch this year with these fun Fall papers!!

Here are a few close ups of my kit:
My seven older papers:
All these papers are from the Jillibean Soup Garden Harvest line from a few years ago! I always loved the colors in this collection as well as the adorable farmhouse motif so I guess instead of using them I ended up hoarding them, so I am hoping to finally use them up...I'm so sad Jillibean Soup will no longer be doing scrapbook collections but I guess that is going to be better for my pocket book!!

My three newer papers:
These papers are all from the CTMH collection called True Love and it is suppose to be a wedding line, but I think these papers are perfect for any occasion and coordinate with the Jillibean Soup Garden Harvest papers well!  The plum in the Jillibean Soup collection is an odd color so I am so happy these plums are so very close!  I love all things purple!!

My seven scraps:
These papers are scraps left over from the CTMH True Love line (plum stripe), the Jillibean Soup Garden Harvest line (blue plaid, plum plaid, butterflies and floral), and the green grid is from the Jillibean Soup Rainbow Roux line.  I spilled water on this paper and some of it is not usable as it is warped but I think I can use most of it for scraps!! It is my last piece of paper from this line!

My four embellishments:
Four my three older embellishments I am using the punch out ephemera from the Jillibean Soup Garden Harvest line and the sticker sheet and washi tape sheets from the Jillibean Soup Garden Harvest collection.  For my newer embellishment I am using these adorable puffy stickers from the PinkFresh Studios Indigo Hills line!

My 12 x 12 sticker sheets:
These are a few sheets I though might coordinate well with my kit.  They are from a variety of manufacturers: Carta Bella Oh Happy Day, Photo Play Vintage Girl, Echo Park For the Record, Echo Park Victoria Gardens & Carta Bella Flower Market.

I am super excited to dig into my fun kit this month!! I hope you will join me and Lori as we endeavor to bash some stash this month!  Remember if you play along make sure and use the #lisaandlorisgreatstashbash2020.  I can't wait to see your kit!  Happy creating!!
