Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash Challenge 2026 ~ February edition!

Happy February! It's a new month and time to launch another fun edition of Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash Adventure!  I hope your 2026 is off to a great start!!!  I did use up most of the papers in my January kit so I am pleased with my start to the New Year!!  How did using your kit last month go?  I hope you played along and made one!!
Now, without further adieu let's kick off the February 2026 edition of Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash 2026!!

Here is how our 2026 challenge works:
On the 1st of each month we will post a challenge prompt and the stash kit we have created using that prompt. During the month we will try to use as much of our stash kit as possible on different projects. Then, somewhere along the way we will do a recap post showing what stash we were able to bash!
This will be a just-for-fun challenge so there is no monthly prize - but isn't the real prize using up our stash?  We hope you will join us in our quest to bash some stash in 2026. If you accept the challenge to play along - link up on either my blog or Lori's Blog My Happy Life (or both if you choose) so that we can see who is joining us each month!

Now for our Stash Bash kit recipe for this month:

Here is my kit for February:
This month I decided to go all out Valentine's Day!!  I'm planning to make some encouragement notes for some of my friends at church as well as use this kit to decorate my journal for February and maybe make a layout or two!!

A close up of the "A" sides of my papers:
These papers are all from the Doodlebug Designs Lots of Love collection except for the multi dot paper that is from The Doodlebug Designs Love Notes collection.

The "B" sides of the papers:

My embellishments, alphas and stash bash item (doilies):
For my embellishments I chose a cut apart sheet for the Doodlebug Designs Lots of Love collection and a sticker sheet and ephemera from the Doodlebug Designs Love Notes collection.  My alphas are from Pink Fresh Studios & Doodlebug Designs.  My doilies are from Doodlebug Designs, Michaels and Stampin' Up.

I hope you will join us this month!!!
Here are the rules for 2026:
Each month we will create a kit using the recipe (found above) of 3-5 patterned papers of any size (dig into your stash for new or old papers it's up to  you!), 2-3 embellishments, 2-3 pieces of cardstock, alphas and our stash bash item!
This month's stash bash item is: Doilies
1. Follow the challenge prompt to create a kit to work with throughout the month. You may use other items, but try to concentrate on using your kit.
2. Create new, not previously posted projects using your stash kit.
3. If you have a blog - please include the challenge graphic & a link to our challenge in your posts.
4. You may link to social media if you don't have a blog. If you share on Instagram, please make sure to use - #lisaandlorisgreatstashbash2026
Since this is a just for fun challenge the rules are not set in stone BUT we have them to help you focus on what really matters using your stash!  We also hope you will help spread the word of our fun challenge so others may join in!!  You know you have at least one friend who needs to use her stash!!

I am super excited to dig into my fun kit this month!! I hope you will join Lori and myself as we endeavor to bash some stash!  Remember if you play along make sure and use the hashtag #lisaandlorisgreatstashbash2026.  I can't wait to see your kit!  If you create a kit link up below to share with us all!!  Happy creating!!

January 2026 Great Stash Bash Adventure Recap

Happy last day of January!!  Today I am sharing a quick recap of how I used my kit for our Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash Adventure this month!!  I was actually very focused this month in using up my kit and was very pleased with the results!!  As far as my 5 patterned papers and 3 cardstocks I was able to use each patterned paper this month!  I almost used up one full sheet!  I used 3/4 of 2 sheets and 1/2 of the other 2 sheets.  I really had hoped to use up a full 3 sheets but overall I am happy with what was used and will add these pieces to my scrap pile.  For the cardstock I used up a full sheet of black and a full sheet of white, but didn't use any of the green or pink....I need to work on using more than just black and white cardstock next month!!
Here is my BEFORE picture:

My AFTER picture:

Now moving on to embellishments:  I did not include the alphas in my after picture as I used only a few letters.  I did however, almost use up the two smaller sticker sheets and I used over 15 pieces of ephemera this month!  I only used a few stickers from the 6 x 12 sheet but hope to use more in the next few months.  I will call this a win and keep these sticker sheets on my desk hoping to incorporate them into stuff I make next month!

My BEFORE embellishment picture:

My AFTER embellishment picture:

For my stash bash item: cut apart cards I did fair but realized last week I selected TOO many cut apart card sheets and I could never have used them all!  I will work on being more realistic moving forward!!  I was able to use up both of the half sheets of cut aparts except for one tag.  I did not even touch 4 of the sheets.  The 2 x 2 sheet I used up almost half of that sheet and for the one journal card sheet by Heidi Swapp I used up all but 2 of the cards so 3/4 of the sheet!

My BEFORE stash bash item (cut apart card) picture:

My AFTER stash bash item (cut apart card) picture:

RECAP:  I am doing a 100 paper challenge this year trying to use up 100 full sheets of paper from my stash and so for this month I am counting 4 sheets as used.  I am adding the rest to a special scrap pile and if I end up using the scraps up it will add to my total.  So overall, it was not as productive as I would have liked but I feel like I did make a dent in my fun kit and am happy with my results!!  For the total I was able to create one layout, 2 cards, 3 journal dashboards and use some misc embellishments in my planner & journal!!  Be on the lookout for pictures of more of my projects as some are for upcoming DT projects and a I just haven't gotten around to photographing my journal dashboards yet!  I hope you will join myself and Lori next month on our Great Stash Bash Adventure!  Happy creating!

Happy New Year! It's a new year and time to launch another fun year of Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash Adventure! We are excited that you can join us for another year of our Great Stash Bash Challenge!! It's hard to believe that 2026 is here isn't it???!!!  I did not do well on using my kits in 2025, but that is the great thing about a New Year, it's a chance to start anew, so cheers to a new year and a fresh start!!  In 2026 we are trying something new, we will be implementing a smaller "mini" kit recipe so as to encourage us to really dig in and bash that stash!  So without further adieu let's kick off the January 2026 edition of Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash 2026!!

Here is how our 2026 challenge works:
On the 1st of each month we will post a challenge prompt and the stash kit we have created using that prompt. Now for our Stash Bash kit recipe for this month:

Here is my kit for this month:
I am working on a journal to use all year long in 2026.  I have purchased the WIDSIOPOSA (which stands for Write It down, Stick it on, pray over & say Amen) book by Kelly Bangs from Illustrated Faith and I plan to use this kit to create my journal dividers and decorate my journal for January!  If I have stuff left over I will make a layout and a card or two as well!

Here is a close up of my papers:
These papers are from the following collections:  Vicki Boutin's Color Study (multi dot & purple dash); Vicki Boutin's Bold & Bright (blue pattern) & Vicki Boutin's Where to Next (black floral & orange pattern).  I picked pink, black, white and lime green cardstock to use for some background papers.

The "B" side of my papers:

My embellishments & alphas:
My alphas are a 12 x 12 Simple Stories Carpe Diem sheet and 2 sets of American Craft Thickers.  For my embellishments I have included some Vicki Boutin sticker sheets and ephemera which are from her varioius collections.

My stash bash item- Cut apart cards:
I have so many cut apart cards!  I love them and can never stop myself from purchasing them!! I included more than I can probably use up this month, but I am hoping to make a big dent in these cut apart papers which are from the following collections:  Vicki Boutin Color Study, Vicki Boutin Let's Wander, Vicki Boutin Where to Next, Paige Evans Blooming Wild; Heidi Swapp Set Sail and April and Ivy Radiant Reflections.
