Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash 2022 ~ March edition!

Happy March!  It's a new month and time for a new edition of The Great Stash Bash Adventure with Lisa & Lori!!  I am happy to report I did do a bit better with using my kit last month!  I did not use it all as I would have liked but I did create 3 cards and a TN layout with it! I will post an update later this week. So I am still not out of my slump 😕 but at least I did use SOME of my kit this month which is better than the previous month, so I will take that as a positive! I am hoping this month will be even better!!!  So without further adieu it's time for another edition of The Great Stash Bash with Lisa & Lori!  Let's get this party started with the March edition of Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash 2022!!

For those who are new to the challenge here is how it works:
On the 1st of each month we will post a challenge prompt and the stash kit we have created using that prompt. During the month we will try to use as much of our stash kits as possible on different projects. Then, on the last day of the month, we will do a recap post showing what stash we were able to bash!
This will be a just-for-fun challenge so there is no monthly prize - but isn't the real prize using up our stash?  We hope you will join us in our quest to bash some stash in 2022. If you accept the challenge to play along - link up on either my blog or Lori's Blog (or both if you choose) so that we can see who is joining us each month!

Now for our March challenge:

Here are the rules for 2022:
Each month we will create a kit with 10 or more papers (dig into your stash for new or old papers it's up to  you!), 5-7 scrap papers (let's keep those scrap piles under control!), 3-4 embellishments (new or old- you decide), and a stash bash item!  This month's stash bash item is 6 x 6 paper pads!!!
1. Follow the challenge prompt to create a kit to work with throughout the month. You may use other items, but try to concentrate on using your kit.
2. Create new, not previously posted projects using your stash kit.
3. If you have a blog - please include the challenge graphic & a link to our challenge in your posts.
4. You may link to social media if you don't have a blog. If you share on Instagram, please make sure to use - #lisaandlorisgreatstashbash2022
Since this is a just for fun challenge the rules are not set in stone BUT we have them to help you focus on what really matters using your stash!  We also hope you will help spread the word of our fun challenge so others may join in!!  You know you have at least one friend who needs to use her stash!!

This month I decided to do 2 kits instead of one kit!
Here is my first March kit :

Side A of the papers (this is my favorite side!)

Side B of the papers:

My embellishments, scraps and stash item (6 x6 paper pads):

I am loving the Spring Vibe this kit has!! These are papers from the Hip Kit Dream Big collection with one paper from the Echo Park Little Dreamer Girl Collection (dark pink hearts).  I also included chipboard stickers and ephemera from the Simple Stories Bunny and Blooms collection that I was gifted and have been hoarding!!  I don't have any of the papers from this collection but I think it goes well with these papers I have chosen!  Then I have the Hip Kit Dream Big ephemera and chipboard embellishments as well.  I chose the Elle's Studio Live Laugh Love 6 x 6 paper pad and a mix of plaid 6 x 6 papers by Stampin' Up that I haven't used yet.  I stuck to just two 6 x 6 paper pads to allow me to concentrate on using up these pads that I have had for a long time!!

Now for my second kit:

Side A of the papers:

Side B of the papers:

My embellishments, scraps and 6 x 6 paper pads:
For this kit I am hoping to scrap my friend's granddaughter's 3rd birthday pictures she sent me.  I have picked papers from Echo Park's Magical Birthday Girl collection as well as a 12 x 12 sticker sheet from this line.  I also picked an ephemera pack from Echo Park's It's your Birthday line.  My 6 x 6 paper pads are from Crate Paper Cute Girl and Echo Park's Party Time line. I am hoping to make some birthday cards for my stash and think this kit will be fun to create some birthday cards for guys and gals with!!

I am super excited to dig into my fun kit this month!! I hope you will join Lori and myself as we endeavor to bash some stash!  Remember if you play along make sure and use the hashtag #lisaandlorisgreatstashbash2022.  I can't wait to see your kit!  If you create a kit link up below to share with us all!!  Happy creating!!

Here are the papers for my February kit :
These papers are from the Pebbles Jen Hadfield line Reaching Out as well as one paper from the Buenos Dias Obed Marshall line by American Crafts (yellow grid) and one paper from Paige Evans' Wonders line (green).  I love these fun colors don't you?

The papers "B" sides:
I really like the "A" sides better but will most likely use some of the "B" sides as well on my projects!!

Close ups of the papers (my favorite sides):

My scraps:
These scraps are all from the Jen Hadfield Reaching Out line by Pebbles, Inc.

My embellishments and stash bash items:
I picked all stickers for my embellishments and stash bash item this month!  I have a sticker problem lol!  I have way to many in my stash and need to use them up! These stickers are from the Jen Hadfield Reaching Out line (foam on left, cardstock stickers next to them, and pressed flower 3D stickers), Paige Evan's Wonders line (banner stickers), Jen Hadfield The Avenue (far right) and the newest line by Pebbles Inc Kid at Heart.

TN Time with Lisa & Lori 2022!!

Happy Monday!! Can you believe it is 2022 already?  It doesn't seem possible that a new year is upon us. I'm excited that Lori & I will continuing this fun challenge into the new year!  We have some fun sketches & challenges planned for you in 2022 & we hope you will be able to join in the fun in 2022! So without further adieu, let's get this party started!!

HERE IS HOW OUR CHALLENGE WORKS:
This is a monthly challenge that launches on the 10th of each month  You will have until the 9th at midnight CST to link up your entries. If you complete my sketch challenge link your TN, bullet journal or planner spread below. If you combined my challenge with Lori's challenge link up your spread here on my blog AND on Lori's Blog (My Happy Life). This is a "just for fun" challenge with no prize, but isn't the real prize just documenting your memories and getting more pages done in 2022???!!!!
Now for my challenge!! Here is this month's sketch:

Now for Lori's January challenge: (January 10 - February 9th):

This challenge was super easy for me!! One of my favorite embellishments is enamel dots & shapes! I especially love heart enamel dots as you will see on my spread for this month!
Here is my spread using the sketch & Lori's challenge:
Supplies Used: Patterned Paper: Echo Park Have Faith; Stickers: Echo Park Have Faith; letter stickers: Elle's Studio (restore) and Pink Fresh Studios Some Days; enamel dots: Dear Lizzy She's Magic & Echo Park Animal Kingdom; journal spot: unknown source

It's so fun to start a new traveler's notebook don't you agree???  This is the first spread in my 2022 TN and I love it!  Each year I open my TN for the year with a spread about my one word for the year!  This year my word is RESTORE.  I plan to keep a separate journal (most likely a TN) to document all my notes and journal about my thoughts on my one word for the year, so stay tuned, I hope to share some of this soon!!

Now for some close ups:

As you can see I used the branding strip from one of the papers at the end of my journaling!  Some of the branding strips are so pretty!!  I was also able to use up a journaling spot that I have had on my desk literally for years, so glad I found the perfect place for it!!  The floral strip is actually a sticker from my January Great Stash Bash kit (you can learn more about this challenge HERE).

I love how enamel dots dress up your pages and stickers without adding a lot of bulk!! They are the perfect accent for your pages!  My other go to addition to most of my pages is to outline my papers with a black sharpie!  This makes the papers pop off the page!!

                        RULES FOR THE CHALLENGE:
1.Create a TRAVELER'S NOTEBOOK, PLANNER, OR BULLET JOURNAL spread based on the CHALLENGE THEME and/or our sketch.

January 5th card sketch @ Sketch N Scrap!

Happy  Hump Day!! Today we launched the first card sketch of the new month and the New Year at Sketch N Scrap!!
Here is the sketch created by yours truly:

Here is the card I created with the sketch:
Supplies Used: Card stock: Stampin' Up: Whisper White & Basic Black; Patterned Paper: Echo Park Cupid & Co, Simple Stories Kissing Booth and Photo Play Paper Love Letters; stickers; Photo Play Paper Love Letters; black pen: Sharpie; punches: Stampin' Up: tag and circle punches.

I used only scraps from three past kits at The ScrapRoom to make this card and I love how it turned out!  This birdie is so adorable and I love the way these papers mixed together from a variety of manufacturers to create a beautiful card!  I made my own tag with the tag corner punch from Stampin' Up and then circle punches to make my own hole reinforcer out of black cardstock.  Make sure and hop on over to the Sketch N Scrap blog and check out what the other DT members did with the sketch!!  Happy creating!
