Our Little Poser

Happy Monday everyone! It was a relaxing fun last weekend of Spring Break at our house. My niece and I did a bit of crafting, we did a lot of yard work and enjoyed time with friends and family! Today they are predicting a lot of storms, so hoping to stay in tonight and do some more crafting. Here is a layout I made using the awesome Simple Stories Yearography collection. This collection is super cute and if you don't have it on your wish list you might want to add it! This is the collection featured in the March Personalscrapper kit and this kit comes with a bunch of Basic Grey embellishments that are super awesome, can't wait to play with this kit some more. The stickers are from Simple Stories as well and although you get the awesome alphabet stickers in the kit, I did buy the other sticker sheet that goes with this collection separately after I learned this was to be our line for March. I LOVE these cute little pumpkin stickers and it also has the cutest snowman and other stickers too! I also used up some older stash on this layout: the background striped paper is by We R Memory Keepers Autumn Splendor line and was in the October 2011 Personalscrapper kit, the word print paper is by My Minds Eye that I have had in my stash for years, glad I finally found something to coordinate with it, and the letter stickers are from Simple Stories, Jenni Bowlin (little circle ones) and American Craft Thickers for the word "poser" on the banner. The kraft die cut is a die called Top Note from STampin Up and the border punch on top of the banner is by Stampin Up as well. This is my nephew at the pumpkin patch last fall. He did (and most likely still does) the cutest little pose (just like you see in the pic) where he puts one hand behind his back, smiles sheepishly, pauses to pose, then waits til you snap the pic and then rushes over to the camera to see himself! So cute! He LOVES to see pics of himself in the display screen of your camera, as I suppose most kids do (when my son was little though no such thing as digital, so I never experienced it with him) but the funny thing is for a TWO YEAR OLD...he hold still so you can get a good pic...my kind of kid! Now don't get me wrong, I doubt he would hold still for an extended period of time, he is two after all, but he will hold for one snap....so you gotta be quick still to get the good pic, but as quick as with other two year olds! This layout is based on an awesome sketch by Tammi Bennett from My Scraps and More, which is another awesome scrappy site, fun message board, great crops and even better an AWESOME scrappy store with great products, great sales and even faster shipping! If you are in need of some retail therapy I highly recommned her store, great experiences when I have shopped there, she won't disappoint I am sure! Well, better get off the computer, I can see some lightning now as well as hear the distant roar of thunder, here comes the storm! Stay safe and dry tonight friends!
