Fun with color!

It's another fun challenge at Scraptivations this week! This week's challenge is brought to you by Amy! The challenge is to create a layout using a split complementary color scheme...sound complicated? It's not! In fact, it can make your scrapbooking much easier, by helping you choose what colors will complement each other when creating your layout! Basically what you do is pick your base color (in my case red), then you use the TWO colors adjacent to your base color's complement (in this case green) this case blue green(kind of a turquoise blue) and yellow green (more of a lime green). Remember the complement of a color is the color directly across from it on the color wheel. So for my layout I used the colors lime green, red and turquoise blue with a bit of brown and navy blue thrown in as well...The papers I used here are from Jillibean Soup (lime green dot) and Echo Park (plaid). Letter stickers from Hobby Lobby (Paper Studio) with embellishments from Jillibean Soup, American Crafts (flair badge), Queen and Company (pearls and big brad) and Bazzill (flower). Pictures of my nephew feeding himself for the first time! Sweet huh? I hope you can play along with us this month at Scraptivations, the prize up for grabs is from Punky Sprouts and it is what are you waiting for? Get scrappin'!
