I can't believe the first week of the new year is almost over! One of my New Year's resolutions each year to send out more cards....last year I started out strong but slacked off as the year went on and didn't even send out Christmas cards *gasp*! I am hoping to redeem myself by sending out birthday cards, so for those of you with early year birthdays you are in luck, most likely you will get one...those of you with later in the year birthdays let's hope I can get to you this year lol! I figure if I keep trying each year eventually I will hit my goal! Our first card sketch of the year at Sketch N Scrap is by Heather and it's a very easy but lovely sketch you can use again and again!
Here is Heather's sketch:
And here is my take on the sketch:
Supplies Used: Patterned Paper: Echo Park Head over Heels; Cardstock: Stampin' Up- Basic Grey, Red Riding Hood & Whisper White; Ink: Red Riding Hood & Pink Pirouette; Dies: Circle/Scallop- Stampin' Up, Stamps: Stampin' Up
I plan to use this sketch again soon to make a batch of birthday cards. I was planning on doing it earlier but want to use the same format and use a birthday hat in place of the heart with another sentiment but I can't seem to find the stamp set I have in mind! I hope I didn't give it away...I know I haven't used it in a long time but this sketch made me think of the poor neglected set for some reason! I was able to use a few more sheets of paper from my 100 paper challenge on this card! I think I may let my deadline extend to the end of February since I missed out on a month of crafting with being ill over the holidays! I am determined to use up more of those papers! I hope you will play along with us at Sketch N Scrap this month, I can't wait to see what you create!
I love this card, Lisa, and I love that sentiment! I haven't made much progress on my 100 paper challenge, so I will continue to use on my stack this year.
