Happy Birthday Sketch N Scrap!

Happy Birthday to us!  Sketch N Scrap is turning one today and we are not just going to be celebrating today....NOPE we are celebrating everyday for the rest of the month!  That means LOTS of inspiration, lots of fun, lots of eye candy and the best part...LOTS & LOTS of prizes!   Now on to our first challenge:
How many of you drool over all the lovely monthly kits offered by various companies each month? I know I have!  I started scrapbooking in the late 90's and I have developed quite a hoard of supplies, I often joke I could start my own store! lol!  It seems I have LOTS of collections in my hoard where only a few papers or embellishments remain and so I just put them aside as there isn't a whole lot left to play with.  One day I needed a yellow paper to go with some pictures I was scrapping.  I found a nice yellow chevron paper but needed some coordinating papers as well, so I started digging in my stash and realized that MANY of the papers I had in other collections went perfectly with my yellow paper...(I was actually thinking of going to Michaels to pick out some papers to match it when I decided to dig in my stash!)  But sometimes I just don't have time to dig in my stash for a few hours looking for matching stuff...so I decided to create my own "kits' of matching papers and embellies from my stash...so that when I sit down to scrap I can get a lot done and not waste time "digging" through my stash!  I actually made up two of these kits in less then an hour. I figure as I find things that will go with these kits I can add on to them.  This kit I call Bright Eyed Boy...it has Echo Park About a Boy, Pebbles Seen and Noted, Basic Grey Hey Boy, My Mind's Eye Collectable and My Mind's Eye Boy Crazy papers as well as TONS of embellishments from companies such as Scenic Route (oldie but a goodie), KI Memories, SRM stickers, Little Yellow Bicycle, American Crafts (thickers), Basic Grey, My Mind's Eye, Bella Blvd (washi tape), and A Flair for buttons! It is packed!!!
Here is a close up of the papers: (side A)

 The other side (B)

Now here is my challenge for you.  Create your own "kit" from your stash.  Use the following recipe:
8 patterned papers
5 pieces of cardstock
2 alphabets
4-10 flowers - can be punched, handmade, store bought etc
2-3 sets of stickers (not letter)
Bling- pearls, rhinestones, stickles, glitter, sequins etc
3 misc embellies- i.e. doilies, journaling cards, chipboard, washi tape etc
Have fun with it! Get inspired to use up some of your stash!  Now what is in it for you besides the motivation to use up some of your hoard plus mix up some older products with newer ones?  Well, how about a PRIZE?  Each person that shares a link to their kit in the comments section below will get ONE entry into a random prize drawing for the following mini "kit":

This kit features papers by Fancy Pants, Glitz, and Autumn Leaves, KI Memories, plus stickers from Fancy Pants Be You collection, butterflies and journal tags from Jenni Bowlin, envies from Sticko, fibers/ribbon from Fancy Pants and misc buttons and flowers!  Enough to create at least 4 or more layouts!
Don't forget to share a link to your kit in the comments section.  Deadline is May 31st at midnight CST, I will announce a winner on June 1st!  Don't forget to follow us everyday for the rest of May on the Sketch N Scrap blog for MORE chances to participate in some fun challenges with lots of prize opportunities!
To see my second kit I made up from my stash called BLUE BAYOU please visit the Sketch N Scrap Facebook page!  Don't forget to LIKE us to stay up to date with all our Birthday Bash challenges!
Happy kitting!  I can't wait to drool over all the fun kits you create!

  1. Way to go Lisa, I love making mini kits up for when I scrapbook away from home (quite often) they help me to scrap without taking too much stash with me.
I'm sure you will inspire our followers to use up their stash!
